We currently have 1 alpacas, 24 chickens, 8 Nigerian dwarf goats, 2 kids, 1 dogs and 2 cats. We grow a lot of our food, heat our home with wood we sustainably harvest, and build memories with children all on our farm. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent, camper van or small camper trailer in our beautiful meadow located on a back road in Vermont. AWD or 4WD is required to park at the upper field. We can help transport you and your gear via our side by side up on the hill as needed so you can park in our easily accessible parking right off the town road. Enjoy a slower pace at our small family farm with alpacas and chickens. 10 minutes from beautiful quaint Randolph where you can catch a show at Chandler music hall or local drive in theater, play frisbee golf at the park or grab some delicious grub and libations from our many local eateries and breweries like Bent Hill just up the road to check out! Explore the outstanding local biking and hiking trails, fishing and much more nearby! (Let us know what your interested in and we will make you feel like a local) When a camper cancels a reservation we will now be keeping 20$ of it, no matter how many days ahead you reserve. It is to pay for upkeep expenses and the hip camp fees they charge. To be clear we will return all costs except 20$. Thank you for your understanding.

He was captured in the Royalton Raid and taken to Montreal where he was sold to a woman who kept him safe for a year until it was safe for him to walk home, by himself, at age 14, and when he got back home the town gave him the land that I live on. Garner Rix was my great, great, great, great grandfather.

This vintage 1965 Airstream 'Globetrotter' is a 19' long vacation in a trailer! The curvaceous interior has been restored for comfort and ease of living. The exterior is traditional "aircraft aluminum" and the interior has been restored for comfort and convenience...lots of storage drawers and cabinets. The interior features the original "Zolatone" paint. The space boasts a couch, which transforms into a full-sized bed. (Since it can be a little tricky to unfold, we'll have the bed set up and already made with cozy linens, down comforter and warm blankets for your arrival.) Above the bed area is a sliding cabinet where we keep books, maps, etc. You'll find books on local Vermont wildflowers, mushrooms, campfire recipes and outdoor survival. The kitchenette features a propane stove/oven, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and is fully equipped with pots and pans, bowls, colander, dishes, glasses and mugs, and utensils/cooking gadgets. There are many cabinets for storage. The eating area is a table for 2 with cushioned seats and throw pillows, overlooking the deck and woodland setting. (This table and seats can be turned into an additional bed for a third person, if requested.) There are 2 storage closets between the kitchen and bathroom, where you'll find: extra blankets, bath/hand towels and washcloths, hair dryer, first aid kit, extra toilet paper, paper towels and space to hang clothing. The bath area features a medicine cabinet for storage and small shower stall with curtain and bath mat. There is a heater at this end of the trailer which can be used in colder months to heat the entire trailer. We have removed the toilet from inside the trailer and built a composting outhouse (with a light) just steps away from the trailer. Lighting is provided for the walk to the outhouse at night. The Airstream is set up to be off-grid, powered by solar energy, with electricity as a backup. Internet and land line (from which you can make local calls) are part of modern conveniences. There is no TV - we recommend bringing a laptop if you'd like to stream movies via Wifi. Guests must carry in drinking water. There is a limited supply of water (about 110 gallons) for showering/dish washing, etc. Water is gravity-fed from a tank in the sawmill barn and we must re-fill depending on how quickly guests use water. Water to the Airstream is only available up until the first chance of freezing in the fall, it becomes available again after the winter thaw and is safe for showering, hand-washing and doing dishes/cleaning. We recommend that you conserve water as much as possible - quick showers and don't leave water running for extended periods. IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: *Bring your own toiletries, though sample sizes are provided. *The mini-fridge is small, so limit your grocery load until you see the space. You can walk to Willey's around the corner for groceries or supplies. *Feel free to bring anything you might need for traditional camping - there's a good chance we already provide it, but best to be prepared! *Limit shower times to be sure you don't run out of hot water! (This is a camper after all and the hot water heater runs off of solar power.) Guest access When you enter the property, you'll see the giant barn that was once the old sawmill, along with a small red barn. Parking area is noted with signs. A short walk past the barn will bring you to the Airstream. The property is 8 wooded acres, separated by a brook that runs through it. Guests are conveniently close to the center of Greensboro, yet you'll feel like you're a world away when in the Airstream. A walk through the woods will lead you to openings where you can sit by the brook and enjoy the peace and solitude. In the woodland areas, you can no longer hear the sounds of society. Willey's Store is just minutes from the property, and has just about everything you could imagine...food, a fabulous selection of beer/wine, clothing and shoes, housewares and hardware. The town of Greensboro also boasts an art gallery, glass/pottery artisans, library, and the Highland Art Center, which is a cultural arts campus (and home of the Hardwick Street Cafe). The town of Hardwick is a 10 minute drive from the center of town with lots of restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quaint town also has multiple grocery stores and shops. Fallingwater is located just a few miles from Hill Farmstead Brewery, voted Best Brewery in the world many years running - a local must-visit! Seasonal outdoor activities in the area are endless. Greensboro has it's own set of cross-country ski trails and is just 15 minutes from the Craftsbury Outdoor Center (hundreds of miles of pristine cross-country skiing and sculling). We're just minutes from Caspian Lake, where you can swim from the public beach, kayak, canoe, SUP and more. We're about 45 minutes from Stowe, Burke Mountain and Jay Peak for downhill skiing. Easy to strenuous hiking can be found all around the area - so much to do within 30 minutes or more of Greensboro. Lake Willoughby (a truly otherworldly place) is about 35 minutes away. Fall foliage season is unbelievably gorgeous, especially when viewed from high within the mountains! Other things to note Seasonal Information: In warmer months, you can get here easily in any vehicle. In snowy weather, we highly recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles for getting around this area - there are many secondary roads with packed snow/sand in winter, and these roads can be difficult to navigate without snow tires or 4WD.

Katherine is an amazing host and has such a great site. Her sites in her backyard are right next to the woods and have plenty of privacy. Her property is connected to beautiful woods that have trails to hike on as well as a river with many swimming holes to use. The most important though is Kathy and how well she treated us and made us feel comfortable. She greeted us with information on how-to-do's along with provided us supplies we needed like first aid items for my dad. I highly recommend staying here at her camp - you will be very pleased!

I highly recommend staying on Donanne's land in one of her yurts! It was the perfect off-the-grid getaway from the city I was seeking. Donanne is a lovely host who recommended an idyllic nearby pond for swimming, picked fresh snap peas for me to take home, and let me play with her pack of adorable dogs. I appreciated the comfort of the yurt combined with a true camping experience, complete with everything I needed for my stay. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

We loved camping at the Mountain View site! It’s amazing to be able to sit alongside the forest and take in the scenery throughout the day. Because of the dry conditions and gumption, we were able to easily get our non-4wd drive car up to the site. Billy and his daughter checked on us and gave us a bunch of wood that kept us through our two night visit. Highly recommend this site!

Sunset Knoll was fantastic for star gazers! Awesome that firewood is provided by the host right next to the outhouse. We would stay there again. Lots of biking roads/trails nearby and a quick ride into Montpelier. Nice country store just a couple miles away for morning breakfast and coffee!

Great spot. Our second year in a row and there were some pleasantly surprising upgrades this year. Nick had worked on a nice loft in the hunting cabin, a redone outhouse, and some more seats/tables. Was a great 2 night stay with my daughters - a chance for us to disconnect and unwind, hike and explore, and watch the stars.

I stayed in the 'Brookside 1' campsite on Katherine's property and absolutely loved it. Katherine is warm, welcoming, and made sure that I had everything I needed. This campsite is closest to Katherine's house, so you don't really have the feeling of being out in the forest, but it was totally ok for me. It's also the site that's closest to the river, which I loved. There's a path at the back of the campsite that leads onto a network of trails through the forest which were lovely to explore. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful spot. Thank you for everything Katherine!

Nice streamside camp site. It’s not as remote as I had imagined, but still very nice. I camped out of a rooftop tent and had a 10x10 canopy next to the truck for chairs and table. It was tight with the setup but it fit. Gus and his friends were great, invited us up to shoot fireworks on Friday night. Will repeat in the future.

What a beautiful way to spend a day/night with my dog! Campsite 7 is huge, with three levels, total privacy, two fire pits, and a shelter that made it possible to camp without my tent. Wonderful mountain views abound from both the shelter area and the top level fire pit. A trailhead to Mt Whiteface is right next to the campsite, which made for fun adventures during the day. I hope to return to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary soon!

We had a great stay at Katherine's. Her land is beautiful and she's such a sweet lady. The camping site is well maintained, the river and forest are wonderful! The trails are well preserved and it makes for a nice walk in nature. Kathy showed us many different spots to bathe in the river, however, we chose to go to the same place everyday as it was easier for my 5 year old twins to enjoy. We stayed on site 1, which is relatively close to her home (as mentioned in the description of the site), but I was more than ok with it. She gave us plenty of freedom and even put a curtain up if we would like to block the view from the house. Kathy was a wonderful host. We had an issue with our tent and she offered to host us in her home. She even helped with the little ones while I was taking our tent down. I would definitely recommend staying at her place if you're looking for a relaxing stay.

Me and my nephew really enjoyed our stay here the sound of the brook was beautiful. We enjoyed the little hike around their property and seeing the different wild life the WiFi was strong and the water was warm and made for a nice bath we appreciated the onsite wood and hammock and the beautiful fire pit a compostable toilet outhouse in the future would be nice but I will be back

I was the first person to stay in the cabin, but the experience was nothing like a rookie set up. The host was incredible, super helpful and sweet! The cabin was gorgeous, recently redone with cedar. The set up was like all inclusive and rustic in the best way. I truly got to unwind and disconnect to reconnect. This is a paradise. I took a short hike to a private lake area and swimming there was a genuinely spiritual experience. There’s plenty of wooded area to explore as well. I didn’t take advantage if any of the extras available, but I am curious about the tours! All in all I will be recommending this place to others like me who are craving a retreat from the modern world and all its noises, speed, and business.

Simply the best tenting you can find in the White Mountains. The campground to get away from campgrounds, where magic touches every corner. Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. The property used to be part of the old Johanson farm, it was a 200 acre dairy farm. The name wolf Swamp comes from the Pony Express Riders that carried Mail from The Canterbury Railroad Station to The Northfield Station. There were many Wolf Sitings reported on the Trail through the Swamp by The Riders, so it was named The Wolf Swamp. The Campsites are spread out over 52 Acres, lots of privacy, plenty of parking and the sites are huge. Lots of hiking in area, 5 different Swimming locations, we are in the Center of the Local Trail System. Local attractions are minutes away, Highland Mountain Bike Park, Canterbury Aleworks, Canterbury Woods Country Club, Shaker Village, Brookford Farm, Hackleboro Orchard and Fishing or kayaking the Merrimack River or enjoying the Beach at Sandogardy Pond with it's children's Playground. Local Farm Stores, Shops, Homemade Gifts, Breads, Pies, Cheeses and we even have a few local Breweries. There is something for everyone, just ask and we will point you in the Right Direction.

Explore endless mountains streams, trails to the Appalachian Trail, and remote dirt roads in the heart of the Mahoosucs from your secluded walk-in low impact tent site with privy. Deep swimming holes and trout fishing beckon. There are three sites: #1: Riverside (more secluded),#2:Hillside(closest to the parking), and #3: Fireside. The hillside and fireside sites can combine for a group although are at a short distance from each other. If weather conditions permit, all campers can share the fire circle and table. The Riverside has its own table.

The campground is located along our town road and the sites are 50 - 100 feet apart along our driveway. This is not a wilderness experience you will have neighbors, including us. We are located on the Green Mountain Gravel Growler bike packing trail and have lots of hiking , biking, boating and swimming opportunities nearby. Our amenity's include a bath house with two flush toilets and a hot shower! We also now have a washer and dryer available for our campers. We have two 30 amp RV sites with full hook ups and 4 tent/small RV non electric sites. We are 100% solar powered and have good WIFI but no cell service. We cater to small quiet groups who can enjoy our peaceful setting. If your are bike packing and our sites are booked just text or stop in we will accommodate you. We are a family friendly, non smoking campground. We are open early May till late October. Pets on leashes are OK. Quiet time is all the time :~). 12 and under free, no Generators.

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

I have 3 separate campsites, each with their own pathways and privacy from each other. Your visit here will allow you many choices of ways to relax. My land abuts the 700 acres of school property behind me and I have trail and path access right from my yard to many miles of an old road bed for walking, biking, hiking, or exploring the length of the brook. There is a waterfall across the street. At least 5 different swimming holes and the water is cold and refreshing! I am 20 minutes from the state capital, Montpelier, Vt. You have access to my delicious pure clean spring water from the hose. There is a pizza/restaurant/bar in my town just 6 minutes away. Please, no fireworks, you'll get me banned by the town officials! If you camp here you will feel like you are in a forest, but will be able to drive anywhere with ease.
