The pond, which houses a Loon sanctuary, is situated on the back side of the expansive Groton State Forest, underneath the Looming Beauty of Devil's Hill. Remote Camping at its finest, campers will have access to a rustic out house and solar shower, as well as the clean waters of the pond for their use. Two Kayaks, with paddles and adult life vests are available for use on-site. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Please message for details. A small Shed on property can be accessed if dry storage space is needed. Firewood (one bundle & kindling) and fire pit will be provided. If you would like additional firewood during your stay, please use the "add-on" feature and select how many bundles of wood you would like. Pets are also welcome, but please review the pet-deposit under "add-ons." Campers are expected to bring their own accommodations: Tent, Sleeping Bag, pad, cooking stove/ fuel, etc. For bikers and backpackers, the extensive back roads of Peacham, VT as well as the hiking of Devil's Hill and other parts of Groton State Forrest should provide ample space for discovery. Not to mention the pond itself for boating enthusiasts. Currently, power and cell service are non existent on the property. Quiet camping generators are not discouraged so long as they are not in use during quiet hours. Just remember that Cell service is SEVERELY limited and you're encouraged to download any media prior to arrival. If at any time you need our assistance the closest signal is the interstate.
