This pristine and remote half acre of paradise is nestled between three hard and soft wooded lots set on the farther side of Peacham's Hidden Gem of Martin's Pond. The pond, which houses a Loon sanctuary, is situated on the back side of the expansive Groton State Forest, underneath the Looming Beauty of Devil's Hill.  Remote Camping at its finest, campers will have access to a rustic out house and solar shower, as well as the clean waters of the pond for their use. Two Kayaks, with paddles and adult life vests are available for use on-site. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Please message for details. A small Shed on property can be accessed if dry storage space is needed. Firewood (one bundle & kindling) and fire pit will be provided. If you would like additional firewood during your stay, please use the "add-on" feature and select how many bundles of wood you would like. Pets are also welcome, but please review the pet-deposit under "add-ons."  Campers are expected to bring their own accommodations: Tent, Sleeping Bag, pad, cooking stove/ fuel, etc. For bikers and backpackers, the extensive back roads of Peacham, VT as well as the hiking of Devil's Hill and other parts of Groton State Forrest should provide ample space for discovery. Not to mention the pond itself for boating enthusiasts.  Currently, power and cell service are non existent on the property. Quiet camping generators are not discouraged so long as they are not in use during quiet hours. Just remember that Cell service is SEVERELY limited and you're encouraged to download any media prior to arrival. If at any time you need our assistance the closest signal is the interstate. If you require a more tailored experience, we can make arrangements to meet you at your arrival to ensure a smooth transition to the campsite. Any other questions, Just ask!

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
What a gorgeous site, the tent platform and dry shed were a huge bonus. Really appreciated Briannes list of locations near by and recommendation for the local musical festival during our stay. Watching the full moon rise over Martins Pond while listening to the loons was unreal. Would absolutely recommend this hipcamp!

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
This is a magical spot! We just camped two nights with our four and year old boys and could not have asked for a better first time multi-night, off-car camping experience for them! We hiked devils hill loop directly from the site and enjoyed the incredible summit view, kayaked among loons and gorgeous views morning and afternoon, swam and played in the sandy bottom of the clear water pond and slept under the canopy of trees and brightest stars on a dry, flat tent platform while wolves howled us to sleep. We made all of our meals together on stoves on the picnic table, s’mores around the fire and appreciated the dry storage shed and compost toilet as well. The site is not only beautiful but truly has everything you need for camping with a vase of flowers to boot. You are on a parcel of land in between camps, aka, houses so it’s not a campground nor completely isolated. For us, it was absolutely perfect. We are so grateful to have found this magical place and can’t wait to go again!

Beautiful Spot! 10/10
Such a nice spot. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everything you need (aside from your tent/sleeping stuff). Cooking equipment, firewood, kayaks, lifejackets, etc. Gorgeous view. One side of the lake has no buildings on it; very pristine. The platform for the tent proved to be amazing because one night it poured rain all night long... my tent was 100% dry inside even through this long downpour. FYI there is no cell signal at the site, but about just 7-8 minutes prior to arrival you can use your cell phone. If you really need to send a text/call you can just drive up the road where you came in. Clear driving instructions and easy to find. My Google Maps worked perfectly (keep it open once you lose signal and it still works).

I really liked this place. It's better than many I've been to before. I enjoyed my two days there. I will come back here for sure. By the way, there are kayaks to use.

Had to come back!
This was my second time staying Brianne’s campsite and I brought a friend to show how beautiful it was. The water was perfect, the camp site was perfect. I plan on coming back many more times to use the kayaks and enjoy the privacy! Cleanest outhouse I’ve seen.

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
The amenities were well thought out, and the site was beautiful. It got really cold at night in Vermont this late in the year, but traveling at this time means we got to be on the lake without encountering many people. I loved going out on the lake in the kayaks, using the firepit, and disconnecting for a bit. Echoing some of the other reviews, the outhouse was well maintained, and had no unpleasant odor. The dry shed was great for keeping firewood dry and storing items so we didn't have to keep walking back and forth to the car, and the tent platform was level, and extremely convenient. Overall, This site provided so much to make our stay comfortable, and we are looking forward to visiting again (next time a little earlier in the year when it's warmer.)

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
Magical Alcove
Brianne's Alcove on Martin's Pond is a truly magical place! If you are looking for a secluded, private, and beautiful place to camp, this is it! The shed was super helpful for dry storage and the water access with the included kayaks and floaties was phenomenal! No visible neighbors to the left and the cabin to the right is only barely visible through the trees. There are of course other houses around the lake and some power boats so it's not silent but that's to be expected in New England in the summertime unless you are in a state forest or really remote. Bottom line is, if you want to camp in a beautiful, private spot with your own lake access, this is the place!

Gem on the Pond with Amenities
Incredible hidden gem of a camping spot. Super tidy and not-stinky outhouse, plus a handy shed, sleeping platform right on a delightful pond. The loons are plentiful and the kayaks make getting out there on the pond so easy. Would like to visit again and hike the nearby trails.

Vermont-y Oasis
Beautiful alcove, comfortable platform, and extremely useful dry shed! We loved swimming in the pond and hiking Devil’s Hill. The town of Peachum is very cute, and we equal parts enjoyed chilling at the campsite and exploring nearby destinations.

Luxurious, thoughtful, beautiful
What an incredible campsite! Everything was so thoughtfully arranged. It had so many great amenities, such as drinking water, washing water, soap and a sponge, four camping plates, bowls, and cups, grates for cooking over the fire, a hammock, and even kayaks! Def a bougie campsite - you want to stay here!

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
This place is incredible and we hope to be back! Our first day we had beautiful weather with kayaks, great food and a fire with plenty of wood! Our second night was a huge thunderstorm, but we were so very thankful for the shed to hide out in but still slept dry in our tent due to the perfect sized platform. It was so cozy and we were able to make the most of every minute due to the ammentities available. The host has clearly thought of all the small things, so if you forgot something they've got it! The entire stay was very much refreshing and appreciated! :)

Stay here!
Many more amenities than expected! Grates for over the fire cooking, some plates, cups, kitchen utensils, citronella candles, little charcoal grill! We had a very lovely weekend. Having the dry shed, with the downpour we had on our first night, was essential! Thank you so much. Remote but not super private.

Absolutely loved this campsite! The pond view and water access was great. Parking was perfect. The tent platform was plenty spacious and the site was very well taken care of. The hosts were extremely welcoming and escorted us to the site. I highly recommend this campground it’s definitely one of my favorites and I plan on returning.
