You will have amazing lake views and will be close to hiking trails, horseback riding, and wine tasting at Edge Cliff Wineries which is next door to us. The beautiful shower house is super clean, has restrooms and hot showers and it is within walking distance. Firewood and ice are available to purchase; kayaks and fishing poles are available for rent. If you forget something at home stop by our little country store, we might have it! :) The sites are about 20 ft from each other - if you are looking for more privacy please check out the secluded site or the peninsula. **The pool on property is reserved for the lodge guests only, it is not open to the public.

Hosts are happy to take questions before, during, or after your stay. Narrative about Selby Farm: Selbys have lived on this farm since 1990. Doug and Brenda are retired from teaching at nearby public schools. Our Farm is now dedicated to boarding retired horses for their owners. We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices. Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road. The native Americans who used this area did so because of the great diversity of wildlife and availability of water. Also the view is amazing in all directions. Was using this ridge top encampment for security, or just because the view is so satisfying? The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail. *** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!). Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can, three (3) level wood tent platforms, and even a big swing set! The gravel site made setup effortless, and having the pond right there made the whole experience feel so calm and special. It felt like our own little escape, far from everything. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their generosity—especially letting us use the paddle boat—is a big part of why we would absolutely return.

Everything went well!! It was our second visit and our first time of the season this year. We had problems getting our electric working right and they helped us figure that out. Then, they noticed our water was leaking a lot where we had it hooked up so they helped us fix that which made our water inside the camper flow better than it ever has. We also went horseback riding. It was a super fun time. Our horses were great and our guide, Jonathan, the owner, was awesome! Had a great time talking with him. Everyone tha we talked to was super nice! We will definitely be back!

Amazing spot, super private and great hosts. It is off the beaten path a bit. There is a bit of off-roading as the paved road ends about 2 miles before you get to your destination. The rv pads are a bit narrow if you have a slide and want to stay on the gravel. However it’s worth it!

Beautiful lake, accessible bathhouse, and wooded RV sites. It was a great get-a-way and fun to be on a farm with gorgeous horses. The nearest town is about a 17 minutes drive away, so bring plenty of food or block out time to drive into town.

Weekend Trip to Spring Lake Ranch

Second time at spring ranch with our travel trailer, so it’s kind of obvious that we like the location and the amenities. Staff at the main building are excellent and very helpful, bath house is clean and nice. Kayak rental is perfect and a nice way to spend a fall day, and a good 2 mile loop trail for hiking is enjoyable.

Weekend Trip to Spring Lake Ranch

Nice piece of property, sites are staggered well so you don’t feel like you’re totally on top of others. Bath house was clean and nice, we rented kayaks and spent the afternoon on the lake. One lane road in and out, so be prepared for oncoming vehicles. We rented site 8 in September so I assume that is off season, was pretty private with only 3 other trailers.
