We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville. Located at the confluence of the Meramec River and Labarque Creek, my place (Matt's Place) is a ridge above a bottomland bowl of sorts. The old iron truss bridge here is likely built in 1910 and it has a survey marker from 1932. The creek has a nice little swimming hole, and a beach that is sometimes sand, sometimes, gravel, and sometimes a mix of both with some silt or even mud after a storm. It's peaceful down there to explore in the creek, wade while looking outward to an opening into the Meramec River. It's also fun to stand just at the mouth of the creek in the Meramec River. It's an awesome view upstream or downstream of tree lined banks, rock bluffs, and every now and then, passing boats, canoes, paddle boards, or kayaks. The old iron truss bridge hovers above the meeting of two waters. The water is cool and clean. Some fifty species of fish have been recorded in this creek, the most in all of Jefferson County and St Louis County. The bottomland has two levels, the lower bottoms down by the creek and the upper bottoms about a hundred feet from the creek. The upper bottoms has a clearing like a meadow with mowed grass. My favorite things to do here include gazing up at a cottonwood tree that must be sixty feet tall. It's leaves in a breeze are like a thousand hands waving hello. The bottomland meadow offers just enough sky to see bats dance in the dusk air between the trees, then fireflies as it gets darker yet. Up top is where I live. Just five miles off HWY 44 and HWY 109, at Eureka, MO, (30 minutes west of downtown St Louis, 18 minutes from Six Flags) this place sits on a ridge with great views above the Meramec River.

A quiet country retreat nestled in the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. Our place consists of three RV sites with water and electric hookups, two camping sites and one on-site travel trailer for rent. Wifi is available at all sites, except for Site 3. Green Acres at Red Brick Farm is located just 50 miles east of Kansas City off of I-70 at Exit 49. Once you are off of I-70 your drive is less than 8 minutes away on all blacktop roads. Site 2 is on gravel with 30 amp hookup and water, preferably best for RV’s and trailers 25’ and under. Site 1 and Site 3 are on gravel with a 20/30/50 amp hookup and water, best suited for larger RV’s and trailers. You may choose your site location, but due to the small number of sites we have we may have to alter your choice. This is so we can accommodate our guests in the best way possible, depending on the size of each rig. If you are towing a vehicle or pulling a trailer your total length should be 55’ or under. We will not accept Triple Axels. Site 4 and site 5 are for tents, pop ups, very tiny trailers and are in flexible locations. A 20 amp standard outlet can be provided for site 4 and site 5. For your use is a shower, toilet, and bathroom sink in our farmhouse basement. Please arrive before dusk, so you don’t disturb other campers. Site 6 Is the on-site travel trailer, ‘Ain’t She Cute’. No Pets are allowed when reserving ‘Ain’t She Cute’. The vintage style travel trailer is completely renovated and decorated with collectibles and antiques and is available for booking. It is furnished with a queen size bed, tiny kitchen, TV, wifi, and full size, not trailer size, bathroom. The trailer is for 2 guests, but an additional guest may sleep on the daybed, preferably a child or small adult. We live onsite in our 1920’s Prairie Style home which is also Red Brick Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast with three Guest Rooms available for booking. Look us up online. At your disposal, is the use of our outdoor furniture, a large yard to walk around in, a fire pit, a BBQ grill, and even a tire swing. Our restaurant, Red Shanty Cafe and BBQ, is located in the town of Higginsville, about 5 miles from Red Brick Farmhouse. Red Shanty Cafe is open Weds and Thurs, 11am - 8 pm and Fri and Sat, 11am - 9pm.

A literal 30 acre pocket of paradise tucked away just minutes North of Columbia, MO. Here you’ll find a private lake with fishing access, rolling hills with stunning sunrises and sunsets, plenty of space to reset with nature, perfect for a glamping getaway. We have 3 separate sites on the property. Our 24’ yurt that sleeps up to 6 with indoor toilet (no shower) propane fireplace for chilly fall and winter stays and AC for the Missouri heat; a cozy RV that sleeps 4 (queen bed and bunks in the back) offers all the amenities of home with a kitchen and bathroom (with hot water and shower); and last we have a level gravel site with 30amp electric and water hook ups (no dump capability) with picnic table, fire pit and grill available for those that want to bring their own RV. We are Pet friendly (with additional cost for the yurt) as we have our own over friendly farm dog. Come play yard games, swing, fish, bring your kayak or paddle board, kids can play or swim on our sandy beach, or just walk our 1 mile perimeter trail, a perfect place to rest, rejuvenate and recharge. Farm fresh eggs are available as well as any extra firewood. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our little pocket of paradise.

My husband and I stayed with our 1 yr old pup in June- and wow. What an absolute gem of a stay! Lacey has thought of everything to make your getaway effortless and cozy. The bed was deliciously comfortable, piled high with cozy pillows, light and heavy blankets and extra throws. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you could need to prep a basic cabin dinner. The outhouse was clean and inviting, well lit and had excellent instructions for how to use the composting toliet. The woodfire hot tub was amazing and the lavendar and chamomille sachet was an adorable touch. But above all of that was the EXCELLENT communication we had with Lacey prior to, and throughout the entire trip. She kept us updated on water levels, worked with us on scheduling a float and was generally just spectacular on every level. The weather threw us for a loop, but even with Mother Nature making the trip a challenge, we still had a magical time and would 100% suggest this location to anyone who asked. We will be back!

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful yurt campsite for a couple of nights. The yurt was perfectly cozy and picturesque. Even though it stormed heavily the first night, we stayed dry and cozy and the rain pitter pattering on the yurt was incredibly relaxing. We loved the campsite set up and would love to return whenever we’re back in the area!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawks Bluff. Elizabeth was very friendly and an excellent host. The animals were a special treat to visit with and the gift/rock shop was stocked with some awesome specimens of rocks and minerals. The amount of collectable druse and agate found here is mind blowing! We definitely reccomend checking it out. I know we will be back on a future visit soon.

Such a lovely place host was super sweet and the farm animals are so cute. We enjoyed a lot it was our first time camping we had a lot of fun. Don't forget to take your hiking boots with you land over there is dampy.

If you want a secluded and peaceful camping experience without all the fuss that goes along with it, this is your spot!! The directions were easy to follow and we went right to our camp no check-ins. It was everything we were looking for and more especially with young inexperienced campers. The kids loved the animals and they played in the creek for hours. Highly recommend this

My fiancé and I wanted a little getaway from the city and The Pocket was the perfect choice! We brought our little chihuahua mix with us as well and there was plenty of space for the three of us in the RV-we really enjoyed sitting outside in the evening, it was so relaxing! The property is lovely and we had no issue finding it via Google Maps-all in all we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend booking it if you need an escape to the countryside!

Weekend Trip to Annie's HIDEOUT Musicians Camp

Annie was extremely kind. Very easy to navigate and we enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately the shower did not work but she was very hospitable, she stocked us with a pack of water bottles (we also brought our own water) and otherwise enjoyable time. Easy to bring friends there and good for a group setting to hang out. We were careful of poison ivy on property but easy enough to stay away from and if someone is looking to get away for the weekend definitely a good place to go!

D'Ranch is a great place to stay. The property is beautiful and the hosts terrific. I stayed in the cabin with electric and really enjoyed it. It was clean and comfortable. I like that they have kayaks and a canoe to use to explore the lake. Tracey is very accommodating, friendly and informative about the local area. I have stayed there multiple times and each time it has been great.

Weekend Trip to The Pocket

The Pocket is s must-see-and-stay if you want peace, beauty, warmth and comfort. We stayed in the RV with 2 teens and everyone was very comfortable and had plenty of room. The land is truly beautiful. I loved just listening to the breeze and the birds. Fishing was fun. The town of Columbia is clean and has stuff to do. (We played minigolf!) Amanda was a very thoughtful, friendly and attentive host. Even our dog was more peaceful! It was just what our family needed.

Weekend Trip to Explore the Ozarks - Dockley Ranch

Loved Dockley Ranch SO much and can’t wait to go back. The pups, goats, alpaca, chickens, mushrooms, Claire, and Myke were all so welcoming! We explored the trails every day, used the awesome fire pit every night, and we still didn’t want to leave after our long weekend.
