Milo has mant tent sites, car camping sites (for retroverted cars & sprinter vans), 6 cabins, a luxury guest space for you to stay! Sorry we DO NOT have any RV spots at this time. Our cabins are the Hippie Trailer, which is located near the west woods near the Fairy Forest. Then the Bunkhouse just past the big barn on the north end of the property. The lodge, where the Airbnb and pool are is centrally located on the land. We rent out the lower level guest quarters for non-campers. We have a Hobbit Hut near the Frog Pond, a Boho Bus near the entry way and several Vardos (gypsy wagons). For our tent campers there are tent sites in the Eastfield, including the Movie set location of the DM Cabin, and for diehard campers the beauty of primitive pack-in/pack-out camping of Freedom Field is a joy! Feel the energy of the sacred land.
We also have SO may attractions! There are 2 stocked ponds, miles of trails, pool, Zen garden, farm animals, a library and more. Find all the portals here!

D'Ranch at Clearwater is a small, 40 acre hobby farm located on the north side of the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. What started as a simple love of backyard chickens has now become a dream farm for Tracey Durant and her husband Theodore. Nestled in the valley between two forest covered hillsides, and running adjacent to Clearwater Creek on the east and the Lake on the south, D'Ranch could not have been a more perfect location for the Durant's to plant their roots and get their feet wet.
While they continue their love of backyard chickens with their small egg and hatchery operation, they have expanded their interests to an array of friendly farm animals including horses, milk cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, and an occasional turkey or two. Guests are welcome to explore the farm, join in the daily milking, and participate as much as they like in the farm chores. There are excellent photo ops so come prepared, and don't forget to share those great pics!

Located at the confluence of the Meramec River and Labarque Creek, my place (Matt's Place) is a ridge above a bottomland bowl of sorts.
The old iron truss bridge here is likely built in 1910 and it has a survey marker from 1932.
The creek has a nice little swimming hole, and a beach that is sometimes sand, sometimes, gravel, and sometimes a mix of both with some silt or even mud after a storm. It's peaceful down there to explore in the creek, wade while looking outward to an opening into the Meramec River. It's also fun to stand just at the mouth of the creek in the Meramec River. It's an awesome view upstream or downstream of tree lined banks, rock bluffs, and every now and then, passing boats, canoes, paddle boards, or kayaks. The old iron truss bridge hovers above the meeting of two waters. The water is cool and clean. Some fifty species of fish have been recorded in this creek, the most in all of Jefferson County and St Louis County. The bottomland has two levels, the lower bottoms down by the creek and the upper bottoms about a hundred feet from the creek. The upper bottoms has a clearing like a meadow with mowed grass.
My favorite things to do here include gazing up at a cottonwood tree that must be sixty feet tall. It's leaves in a breeze are like a thousand hands waving hello. The bottomland meadow offers just enough sky to see bats dance in the dusk air between the trees, then fireflies as it gets darker yet. Up top is where I live.
Just five miles off HWY 44 and HWY 109, at Eureka, MO, (30 minutes west of downtown St Louis, 18 minutes from Six Flags) this place sits on a ridge with great views above the Meramec River.

Soon the steep slope anchored a Yurt with a wrap-around deck that puts you up in the trees. Our gathering spot by the creek became a camp site. Recently the grandkids' Bunk House found its way in. Our Retreat is 10 acres, narrow, but 1/4 mile deep, stretching down a steep wooded slope to a creek - and up the other side to the top of a bluff. It is only ten miles to Jefferson City but has a quiet and distant feel.

Inside, you'll find two cozy beds (one queen, one full), ambient lighting, electricity, and a propane firepit for a cozy atmosphere. Just steps away is our shared gathering cabin, which includes a shower, kitchenette, and restroom facilities.
We live on-site and love to share the land with our guests. Cindy is a Master Gardener, and Jim is a spiritual life coach and energy worker—both are happy to offer sessions upon request. Feel free to wander through our garden and sample seasonal organic veggies, or check out the progress on our innovative underground greenhouse.
Friendly visits from our two dogs and horse are common—they love people! But if you'd prefer no animal interaction, just let us know in advance.

If you want a secluded and peaceful camping experience without all the fuss that goes along with it, this is your spot!! The directions were easy to follow and we went right to our camp no check-ins. It was everything we were looking for and more especially with young inexperienced campers. The kids loved the animals and they played in the creek for hours. Highly recommend this

Weekend Trip to Annie's HIDEOUT Musicians Camp
Annie was extremely kind. Very easy to navigate and we enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately the shower did not work but she was very hospitable, she stocked us with a pack of water bottles (we also brought our own water) and otherwise enjoyable time. Easy to bring friends there and good for a group setting to hang out. We were careful of poison ivy on property but easy enough to stay away from and if someone is looking to get away for the weekend definitely a good place to go!

D'Ranch is a great place to stay. The property is beautiful and the hosts terrific. I stayed in the cabin with electric and really enjoyed it. It was clean and comfortable. I like that they have kayaks and a canoe to use to explore the lake.
Tracey is very accommodating, friendly and informative about the local area.
I have stayed there multiple times and each time it has been great.

Loved Dockley Ranch SO much and can’t wait to go back. The pups, goats, alpaca, chickens, mushrooms, Claire, and Myke were all so welcoming! We explored the trails every day, used the awesome fire pit every night, and we still didn’t want to leave after our long weekend.

4 nights at Ozarks Piney Bend Riverfront
I spent a few days staying at this absolute gem. The space is layed out very well. The hot tub was amazing! I am so glad I chose this place for my first Hipcamp experience. Lacey has done an amaozing job on this cabin. The twinkle lights all of it create a magical ambaince even when it was raining the front porch looking over the river was so beatuiful. I will absolutely be back!!

Beautiful and cozy elevated camping right outside of the city. The treehouse was perfect for a rainy night and would be great in the winter.
We had a really fun and easy stay and would recommend this.

Weekend Trip to Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors
We loved the Sir Quincy yurt experience . Made core memories with our kids and we would
Love to come back . Susan brought by firewood and clean towels . All ages slept well ( 6 years old , 3 years old, and 1 years old ) . Friendly visits from dogs and cats and pigs to the campsite made our day. Then walks to feed the goats and horses carrots , exploring the beautiful creek . Other wildlife seen beyond the sanctuary farm animals : large pelleated woodpeckers , hummingbirds , baby snapping turtles , tadpoles , many wild flowers , butterflies , flocks of barn swallows , large black snake ( my sons favorite ) , toads , frogs , turkey vultures .
My daughter lovingly refers to the barn as the “ unicorn house “ and she is three years old and loved all the unicorns , especially the brown pony unicorn . The donkeys all coming over in a group for carrots , the baby pigs , twin very new baby goats , and the largest mama pig walking by every morning where othe highlights on the farm .
Never had a keurig in a yurt before and also loved making everybody hot cocoa in the yurt on chilly mornings . Thank you for the hot cocoa pods .

Weekend Trip to Sinking Creek Ranch RVs & Glamping
Glamping at in the Dogwood Den tent at Sinking Creek was amazing!! Inside we were greeted with a simple luxury and softness. But once we stepped outside, it was truly camping at its finest. It was a perfect, secluded, beautiful campsite. Located on gorgeous property surrounded by forest and pastures. Every little detail made it feel so special. Highly recommend Sinking Creek Ranch! And Dogwood Den was just perfect.

Jim and Cindy are gracious hosts with a lovely property. The tipi is very cozy, even over a cool, rainy night, and we enjoyed exploring around the lake and the creek in the morning.

Group trip
It was a super fun stay! The animals were awesome and the camp was lit up so cute at night. A group of us gals were driving to Texas and wanted a place to stay overnight on the way there and back. We got to stay one night at sir Quincy tent on our way down and then on the way back up she offered us to stay in the lady Asher tent and that one we liked the best! It had a private trail to a composter toilet and shower (could have used better directions on how to operate the shower, couldn’t seem to get the water to work) we were only there for one night each so it wasn’t a big deal. Susan was very timely with her responses to messages so I’m sure she would have helped us if we asked about the shower. She told us to just reach out if we needed anything! The dishes and an appliances could have been a little cleaner but over all it was a very enjoyable stay and 10/10 would come back again! Do recommend!

4 nights at Explore the Ozarks - Dockley Ranch
Four nights here is the perfect amount of time to reset and return to the world. Recommend the route from the East through Alva even if you have to circle around. Double recommend if you have passengers prone to motion sickness. Triple recommend because Alva is cute, and has Melancholy Coffee Roasters.

The overall experience was great. Sandy was very helpful with suggestions for food and things to see in the area. The Glamping Tent was perfect and the bathrooms and shower area were clean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone!
