You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of a small electric heater, or A/C if needed, a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes or Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry wood in a storage rack. My feeling on how well the heater will work in cold weather is you are probably good until the temp is in the lower teen. if interested you could bring a larger heater to help with heating. I do no plan to plow the driveway if it snows so keep that in mind if you see a storm forecast. I will block out dates after the first significant snowfall.

We are approximately 1 mile from a rum river access. There are multiple river trip options from our property. We are also 3 mins from lake george and the Rum River Regional Park for swimming, biking, fishing, boating, and more paddling. There is a Bills gas n grocery as well as a G-will liquors less than a minute from the property. The Ponds golf course is about 4 mins away as well. If you are looking to hit downtown Anoka that is a straight shot and approx 12 mins away. This site is on an active hobby farm that has dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, turkeys, and multiple gardens. We have a farm stand by the road where we sell items such as fresh roasted coffee, eggs, BBQ sauce, pickles, maple syrup, hot sauce, and more! We are very pet friendly and like to meet new furry faces, so feel free to bring them along!

The white area is our property on the river and available for tent only or to hang out for the day if you choose to camp up top. The purple area is where the goats are busy eating. Come and visit them! While the site does not have running water, you’ll be camping right next to our family cabin, and we’re happy to help with anything you might need. We also have friendly goats on the property that guests are welcome to visit! There’s also plenty to explore nearby. Just minutes away, Braham offers a quirky “hole-in-the-wall” bowling alley and some charming local shops. Head north to Pine City for more options, including restaurants, a larger grocery store, and additional shopping. History buffs will enjoy visiting the Snake River Trading Post, a Minnesota historical site. Weekend Trip to Crooked Creek Retreat

Crooked Creek was a perfect oasis away from the city. We really enjoyed the cozy vibes of the cabin, and the walking paths for us to enjoy. We were even provided orange beanies for hunting season, which we greatly appreciated as we went on our hikes! My wife and I had an amazing experience, and the joy began even before we actually “arrived” at Kelley’s farm. The road to the farm gave us front row seats to a forest of beautiful, luminous orange fall leaves on our left and the deep blue lake on our right. We had to stop the car a few times along the way just to look around and snap some photos. After a LOT of photos, we made it to Kelley’s farm—which, by the way, has a VERY cool shop at the entrance—and then our campsite! The location was as beautiful as the drive in and elevated by the range of thoughtful amenities Kelley had staged beforehand and also by a visit from their friendly dog! I could write more, but you get it! 10/10 recommend!

Weekend Trip to Rustic River Retreat

Amber has been working so hard to make this such a beautiful spot! The amenities are out of this world and not what I’m used to! We unfortunately did not get to meet but I would have loved to have learned her story. She was always quick to communicate. This place was quiet, serene, and beautiful. The hike to the river was so perfect in the night time, the bridges were well lit. And let me tell you about those stars…..the Milky Way was in perfect viewing all night. I’m hoping to make it back someday soon!

The cabin was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I and our two pups! There was plenty of space for the dogs to roam and Jon had everything you needed to cook, have a fire and relax. We’re already talking about doing it again next year! Thanks Jon for sharing your space!

2 nights at Into The Woods

Where do I even start? Maybe at the fact that we absolutely cannot wait to return?! We had so much fun at “the dome”. The autumn trees worked out perfectly for us – the trees were in full color and the weather mostly cooperated while we were there. The second night we were able to see the stars and MY GOODNESS, it was absolutely spectacular. It was expected to be pretty chilly during the night, so I brought a 10x20ft tarp to lay on the ground and help insulate against it and I think that helped significantly during our second night when the temp was about 36*. We cooked over the fire mostly for meals, but also drove the few minutes to A&W for root beer floats daily. The compostable toilet is located behind a small partition to provide a bit of privacy, but there is also a gas station within three minutes of the site so I just drove to use that one mostly. The solar powered fan circulated the air a bit, but there’s only so much you can move the air around in a dome shaped space… it was 70* on our second day and it got warm inside of the dome pretty quickly. We were able to buy firewood at the Adventure Church lot (five minutes away) and paid $5/bundle in cash at a self-serve stand. This stand is covered, so it had dry wood even after it rained the first night. We loved how secluded it felt without also feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere. Overall, as the first camp like experience for us, it was a roaring success! Highly highly recommend, 10/10.

We loved the open space and privacy that we don’t get at state parks. I don’t think I’ve seen my youngest dog so content with being out camping and running around the woods. The amenities were fantastic. There are kayaks to use; didn’t use them but it’s a good option. Nice river view with a fire pit, could use a fire wood stack by the river otherwise you have to haul it. Plenty of tent spots . Electric spots are a little bit too close together for my tastes; but we had the sites to ourselves. Loved the kitchen and showers. 10/10 🌟 Will definitely come again.

Host very responsive and easy to deal with..her partner opened for us and very nice guy. Will go back..we were only ones there .The sites are very close so you might want to book with friends for privacy.Good group option Cleanest best set up hip camp we have used
