Learn more about this land:      R&R Mille Lacs offers a private channel lake lot on beautiful Mille Lacs! The site will have a pull through driveway with 2 RV spots with electricity and water on a gravel pad. The gravel drive through is big enough for 1 more RV but there are no hookups. $60 per RV per night. (So if your group brings 3 RVs it totals to $180.00 per night. Tents are also allowed.  There is one dump station as you pull out.      The site also has a private dock to put your boat or other water toys on. With just a short boat ride through the channel you can be out fishing on the mighty Mille Lacs in minutes. There are no waves to worry about in the channel so just tying up to the dock is nice and easy. With the calm waters it is a great place to use your kayak or paddle board, or just some fishing off the dock. There will be a four person paddle boat available for guests, you must bring your own lifejackets for any water activities.  There are also atv or mountain bike trails just feet away from the site. There is a fire pit on site with free split firewood.      We are located 5 minutes south of Garrison, and 5 minutes north of Grand Casino Mille Lacs, and right across the road from Northwood Hills golf course with Charlie’s Bar & Grill.       To launch your boat there are public water accesses to the north and south.

Amber has been working so hard to make this such a beautiful spot! The amenities are out of this world and not what I’m used to! We unfortunately did not get to meet but I would have loved to have learned her story. She was always quick to communicate. This place was quiet, serene, and beautiful. The hike to the river was so perfect in the night time, the bridges were well lit. And let me tell you about those stars…..the Milky Way was in perfect viewing all night. I’m hoping to make it back someday soon!

We loved the open space and privacy that we don’t get at state parks. I don’t think I’ve seen my youngest dog so content with being out camping and running around the woods. The amenities were fantastic. There are kayaks to use; didn’t use them but it’s a good option. Nice river view with a fire pit, could use a fire wood stack by the river otherwise you have to haul it. Plenty of tent spots . Electric spots are a little bit too close together for my tastes; but we had the sites to ourselves. Loved the kitchen and showers. 10/10 🌟 Will definitely come again.

Host very responsive and easy to deal with..her partner opened for us and very nice guy. This is indeed a camping spot to be proud of! Obviously much thought went into to creating this amazing spot. A nicely decorated and maintained huge space, evergreens planted for even more privacy, generous DRY wood supply, super clean outhouse with light, table with bench and electricity. The hayfields were mowed and our dog sure enjoyed running over it. There is even a path through the woods. One of our favorite hipcamps, we would love to return.

Loved it!!! Going back 100%. Kids and dogs were fans. Super close quarters if you don’t know your neighbors. It’s three spots in a half moon like stated. They are close. We are coming back and renting the whole thing. That way the dogs can be loose.

It was actually my first Hipcamp experience and I think it will be difficult to top! From the price to the amenities to the hospitality and the sole reason that I like to support this type of business platform… I just can’t say enough good. First and foremost, I felt like I was helping an individual not a business. As we were checking out, we ran into the partner of the owner and he shared how this was for long time dream for Amber. I was so happy to be able to support that. The bathrooms, cook house, fire pit and round table were just a start. Beyond all of those amenities there was also the river, kayaks available and a well lit hiking path with cute little bridges. Every piece of the rustic retreat was well thought out. I almost don’t want to rave on them because I want this gem to remain hidden, but alas, I will share. I would come back anytime and happily bring friends along with! We were only located about an hour outside of Duluth. The location was perfect and I love a place where pets can be free to roam off leash. I give this a five star Hipcamp rating. It has set the standard moving forward.

We had a great time! Super nice, large mowed area nestled in a gorgeous area of woods and fields. We watched sandhill cranes take off multiple times (my favorite creatures!). The amenities were awesome: dry wood, electric, and an outhouse. My dogs had a blast. Eric was a wonderful host! Thank you!

Great experience all around! This was our first Hip Camp adventure and it has us looking for more opportunities. Larry gave us a warm welcome so it was inviting from the start. It’s a beautiful property and the campsite was delightful. We were visited by deer, a big old raccoon, a wide variety of birds and a half dozen cows from a neighboring farm. If you are an early riser, you hear a rooster crow from across a huge field. Our 4 little city dogs had a blast. We are grateful to this Hip Camp host for sharing a very special place. The campgrounds were a very pleasant surprise. Very well maintained, clean, quiet at night, and the staff were all very friendly and wonderful (including maintenance guys who helped me with a plumbing leak issue). Nice petting zoo, dog play area, little beach on the lake, and trails around the grounds. Some RV spots are a little close together, but the overall grounds are large and spacious, so it didn't feel crowded. Kind of an under-the-radar hidden gem for the Twin Cities!
