This cabin was built by hand in the 1970s from white pine that was harvested and milled on-site. Our family purchased and rehabbed this beautiful cabin throughout 2021. Indoor and out, there are so many ways to relax and connect with loved ones during all seasons at Bundo's Cabin. Learn more about this land: Where the forest meets the field. Unplug and relax at Bundo's Cabin with extraordinary views of wildlife and endless outdoor opportunities. The modern yet cozy cabin has electricity and features a front patio, an external outhouse and outdoor rainwater bucket shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a living area, and a sleeping loft with a reading nook. The kitchen provides you with everything you need to prepare your meals including a refrigerator, small freezer, stove, oven, cookware, cutting boards, sink, seasonings, oil, and coffee. Water for washing is available from an electric pump faucet in the kitchen, and a brand-new outhouse is located steps from the cabin. The cabin is efficiently heated and cooled with a user-friendly heat pump and gets the cabin to your desired temperature very quickly. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. I loved camping in Dan's yurt campsite! The walk from the car is perfect, just long enough to feel like you are really out there camping! The views walking to the bathroom in the fall were just gorgeous! Speaking of the bathroom don't be scared off by the composting toilet. Dan provides plenty of woodchips/sawdust to cover everything up and there is no odor! The bbq grill and bonfire ring are great to have options. The picnic table seats plenty of people. It rained a bit while we were there and everything in the tent stayed dry thanks to the extra plastic Dan has placed over the top of the yurt. Dan is so kind and generous and feels like going over to a friend's house to camp. Can't wait to return next year!

Weekend Trip to The Wooded Retreat/breakfast/spa

We wanted to get out but could not find camping with our trailer so my husband and I stayed in the Little Wooded Cottage. It was lovely. The cabin is super small but really cozy. I loved the mattress! It was incredibly comfortable. The cabin inside had a small chair, a nightstand, filled water jug and a few other small amenities. Outdoors came with a picnic table, fire pit, outdoor lighting and private outhouse ( which we appreciated) This cabin is not tucked away like the other cabins, you are close to the hosts home, but we had full privacy from the hosts and other campers. The cabin is shaded under pine trees and some maples and it was very quiet and serene. You are also within a 20 minute drive to Banning SP or St.Croix SP. I would book again for sure.

Dan is a wonderful host and owns some absolutely gorgeous land. I will be back! Be prepared for a small but beautiful hike out to your camp site. Bathrooms are as good as it gets, tents are huge and the bonus of not needing to setup is amazing, and the access to one of the most beautiful state parks is uncanny. If you have the legs for it I would absolutely recommend touring this area on bike. The descent into Taylor’s falls is one of the best in the state, the climb out of the city will have your legs woken up, and the nearby Swedish Immigrant Trail is beautiful especially in the Fall.
