We are within an hour of Sleeping Bear Dunes with award winning hiking. Traverse City is 40 minutes away with many activities, especially the Cherry Festival. This area is known for live music venues, and lots of weekend art festivals. Manistee is also home to the Little River Casino. We have firepits at each campsite, dry firewood is available to purchase, feel free to pay by cash, Venmo or CashApp, cost is $15.00 a wheelbarrow and can be found by the wood burning stove under shelter. Fresh flowers bouquets are available to purchase seasonally at our Floral Stand & Market. We have local NON GMO Pasture raised eggs $5 a dozen, Sourdough Bread $10, organically grown garlic, peaches, scones & fishing lures & our Guest Book! An outhouse is available for use and is supplied with toilet paper & hand sanitizer. There is a garbage can and recycling bin near the outhouse. We installed a water hydrant close to the flower bed near the wood pile so you can get potable water to bring back to your site, or hose off with on the spot. We are 10 minutes from Alma and 20 minutes from Mt Pleasant. Lumberjack park is about 2 minutes away and Stearns preserve is about 5 mins away where you can walk or ride bike on a nice paved trail. We have a small garden that we plant every summer and plan to start a small farm stand this year. We are in a quiet area with lots of wildlife. We have 1 spot near the house with a view of the river that can support electric hook for a smaller RV and can attach a garden hose for water if needed. We do have a “field” that RVs can use but there is no hook up and there ground may not be level. We have many options for rustic tent camping along the river. No public restroom available. We can also provide some fire wood for campfires for a small cost. Along the river fires are allowed but must be contained in a fire ring. If camping by the field fires will be dependent on conditions. We have 3 kayaks and a canoe that can be used with prior consent. There is a park up river where you can put in and then can exit at our house which is about an hour on the river. We are very new to this and just purchased a UTV so we will be able to start making trails and clearing areas. But for now, camping along the river you will have to walk (and carry belongings) through tall grass to the site you desire. Quiet time 11 pm. Site 3 is nice and open, I went during the winter so make sure you have 4x4 before attempting to get to the site in the snow! Beautiful area, nice and quiet. Definitely need to revisit in the summer time, would recommend.

Mark and Jill were fantastic! This is a working farm, we brought our 3 turkeys to be processed. It’s a very quiet and rustic camping area. We will definitely be camping there again when we need that quiet farm experience!

Nice spot with a concrete pad not too far from 31. A bit of road noise, but it quieted down at night. I was there for a quick stay, so, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to enjoy the trails.

It had a very pretty, open area for tents and vehicles, very close to river, and the host was very responsive. Good fishing opportunities and a nice fire ring/ grill and outhouse. And it felt secluded! I will definitely come again!

Deer Path was a perfect get away for us. I was a little nervous about having neighbor's so close, but there was no need. The set up of the site and full hook ups felt very private. We loved sitting by the river and watching a Blue Heron fishing in the river as well as watching a herd of a dozen deer cross the river 100 feet from us. Megan stopped by to confirm that everything was perfect for our stay and it was. I highly reccommend this location with no reservations!

site #15, 20 and 30 amp plugins are shown in the right of the picture. They are shared with site #14. septic hookup is near the trees to the left of the electrical box. Water fill station near the bathhouse.

My husband and I rented a site here for our anniversary and we had a great time! The owner was very welcoming and super chill! The showers and restrooms are very clean and smelt good. We will bring our kids here too since there’s an open area with things for kids to do and places for parents to hang out! We came up to ride the trails and there are plenty of spots to start that fun! Thank you, Thomas for being a great host! I’m sure we will be back.

Weekend Trip to Gray's Riverside Camp

Grays River Camp was awesome. Angie was a super host and very pleasant to talk with. Attentive to needs and making sure campers are happy. She has done a lot with the campground for improvements, making sure there is a little bit for everyone to have fun outdoors or indoors in the case of bad weather. It was very quiet, clean and peaceful camped along the river. Plenty of room to walk dogs if you have them. We floated the Muskegon during our stay. Angie dropped us off at a riverside park in Big Rapids and we paddled and fished our way back to camp. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are camping there again the following weekend. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking to get away from the congested state campgrounds and larger RV resorts. Great for RV’s and Tents. There is a dump station for RV’s which was a blessing. Thanks Angie, we look forward to coming back.

Randy's spot on the Betsie River was truly perfect. It was a great, quiet place in the woods with plenty of open space for a camper, tent, and yard games. We really appreciated that the open space was grass and not sand or dirt like many camp spots end up being. Randy was incredibly helpful when a small problem came up and took the time to make sure everything was 100% perfect. We would highly recommend this space and would love to come back next year.

The sight is amazing with a large grassy area, nice fire pit, and is private. We enjoyed our stay and Randy was quick to respond to our question. We stayed in a travel trailer and it was an easy time leveling and setting up. The river is not visible from the campsite or very easy to access. However, there is a spot to fish or put in close by.
