This property is the perfect location to stop and relax while you are traveling on the White Pine Trail. We have cabins and campsites with water and electricity. It is centrally located between Grand Rapids and Cadillac. We offer river access, kayaking, bathrooms, showers, and a dump station. This is an old church camp with 14 different buildings. There is a trail that goes down to the river. My goal is to restore all of the buildings to what they once were. I encourage you to come and investigate before it's all done. This site is accessible by a gravel driveway that leads to secluded land perfect for your camping getaway. There is tree cover, but also open areas. We have a designated area for camping that includes a fire pit, ground level metal deck, and a comfortable outhouse. There is no power or running water. Experience camping for real! (fun fact: this property has been passed down four generations of women!) We are near downtown Manton, downtown Mesick, and downtown Cadillac. Our favorite places to visit are Dayhuff lake (10 minute drive), numerous seasonal roads and trails, the Manistee River, Traverse City (45mins), Emerald Vale Golf Course (10 minutes), and Pleasant Valley Amish market for baked goods (5 min). Notes based on feedback that we've gotten from campers: -the driveway is steep, as seen in the listing photos. The recommendation for trailer size should be followed (18ft trailer max, plus 17ft car/truck). There is a corner at the top of the hill that might be tight for anything larger. I will note that there is a review where someone made it through with a 21ft trailer plus their vehicle; proceed as you will with this information.

Easy spot to get to driving; location and directions are accurate. Appreciated the heads up of minimal cell service for Verizon customers. Beautiful spot in the woods. Sandy, flat soil makes tent stakes easy to go in. Plenty of privacy from the road and nearby buildings. A little more road noise than anticipated, but not that bad. Host provided everything needed at the camp site and more: private area for showers/changing, plenty of firewood, picnic table, drinking water, extra table (very helpful!), fire pit, portapot that was exceptionally clean and fully stocked. Host was great at communicating before and during the stay. Location is convenient to all rivers, hiking, etc. in the area. Would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area!

The layout of the campsites is very privately cozy and well maintained. Nicely flat ground areas for tents, and many opportunities for hammock spaces in the area. The evening solar lights keep the sites well-lit and very inviting. The campfire kettle rings and swivel grill are very functional for camp cooking. The hobby farm animals are very entertaining to watch, and it was very fun to help Pamela feed them during their feeding schedules. The composting toilet is very clean and well kept. Cellular service is very limited, but accessible north near the farm and south near the property line. Many supplies were available in addition to the site bookings and were greatly appreciated. I will definitely be returning :)

The camp spot on Luke's farm was lovely. While we requested the kayaks for their pond, we did not end up using them. The space was very private. We had a little trouble getting to the space as the direction listed in the booking did not land you immediately into the space, but more like adjacent. We arrived late and it was dark out so we had a tough time knowing where to turn, there was very little signage to indicate where exactly to go, and we did not have the best cell service. We made it to their farm and we were given a map. Overall, i would stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful time out in nature. The views of the autumn foliage were abundant. Thank you!

This site was exactly what I was looking for: private and secluded, but not totally isolated. I felt very safe here as a solo female traveler. Ideal for car camping, camper vans/small trailers. There is a clean port a potty, garbage can, fire pit and picnic table. The site has its own road that leads to it. Surrounded by national forest land and less than 30 minutes from Lake Michigan beaches. Will definitely be camping here again soon!

We have had the best campers, leaving such wonderful reviews, so we are sad to say that our local township sent us a letter saying we are zoned for rural residential land and not for commercial, that we can no longer have campers here. None of our camping sites can be seen from the road and matter of fact most of them can't be seen from the air even. Our Township told us that they would have never known we had campers here except for that somebody saw our website page and complained. It's amazing the jealousy and envy that people have. We are going to petition our township and then it will have to go to the county board, it could take a little while, we hope by next year camping season to be open again. The property is 30 acres but we are only sharing the back 5 acres for campsites. The property is situated against the Manistee national forest, so there is plenty of wildlife to see. The campsites are currently setup for boondocking, eventually that will be upgraded as time goes on. We do offer farm fresh eggs upon request. If the season is right their could be fresh garden vegetables available as well. Fire pits are available but please know that burn restrictions will be strictly enforced since the property butts up against the national forest. Pets are welcomed but please cleanup after them and never let them just run free without supervision. The evening sky is always a picturesque site and the star gazing is phenomenal. Things to do off the farm: There are dirt bike and ORV trails for miles that run aside the property. The trails can take you to white river for fishing, kayaking, boating, or swimming. The trails can also be nice for a walk, hike, biking, or horseback riding. Bird watchers, the variety of birds that can be found just on the farm alone is quite large. There is an 18 hole disc golf course just 7 minutes away that can challenge even the most skilled and still be fun for the beginner. Fun on the water: Access to so many different lakes is just minutes away. The property is about 25 mins from Lake Michigan, 15 mins from Twin Lake (all sport inland lake), 8 minutes from Blue Lake, and 15 mins from Fremont Lake. Muskegon river is also a short distance from the property for a planned summer tubing trip. There is a river side shop that offers tubes for renting if you don't have any of your own. Shopping nearby: Whispering Pines, Amish store is 8 mins away from the property. They offer a host of many different groceries and a deli. Bigger box stores are a 20 minute drive into Fremont. Attractions: Fremont is home to Gerber foods (baby food production) and they hold the Gerber festival every year in mid July. If you are looking for some fun at a theme park, Michigan Adventures is just 20 minutes away from the property. They have rollar coasters and a water park for all ages.

My quite spot is within 14 miles from everything that starts, the up north attitude. From kayaking, canoeing, hiking, tubing, Muskegon river Dragon bike trail. Croton Dam & Hardy Dam are both within minutes. I am also on the M.O.R.E. bike trail. ( Michigan Off Road Expedition ) Within just a few miles from both the White Pine Trail and the NCT. So, if your on a trail, need a break. I got you a spot! 12 Miles from Newaygo, and only a few miles from local dinning and lounges. 6 Miles from Croton dam. Which is one of the most popular drop off spots for tubing, kayaking, canoeing.. 6 miles from Howard City, Where you can hit the White Pine Trail. 3 miles off 131, and just 25 minutes from Big Rapids. If you like camping WITHOUT 200 others, you'll love this. Each site is stocked with wood and restocked daily for a small fee of $20.00, which can be purchased in advance from this site under extras. this will include up to a 3 night stay. Additional wood can be purchased, for longer stays. Horseshoe pits, along with community fire pit. Each site has its own fire pit for privacy. With more being added all the With Golfer's Putter Pool coming next on the playing field! All sites are a foot ball field from my dwelling.

The property is 30 acres but we are only sharing the back 5 acres for campsites. The property is situated against the Manistee national forest, so there is plenty of wildlife to see. The campsites are currently setup for boondocking, eventually that will be upgraded as time goes on. We do offer farm fresh eggs upon request. If the season is right their could be fresh garden vegetables available as well. Fire pits are available but please know that burn restrictions will be strictly enforced since the property butts up against the national forest. Pets are welcomed but please cleanup after them and never let them just run free without supervision. The evening sky is always a picturesque site and the star gazing is phenomenal. Things to do off the farm: There are dirt bike and ORV trails for miles that run aside the property. The trails can take you to white river for fishing, kayaking, boating, or swimming. The trails can also be nice for a walk, hike, biking, or horseback riding. Bird watchers, the variety of birds that can be found just on the farm alone is quite large. There is an 18 hole disc golf course just 7 minutes away that can challenge even the most skilled and still be fun for the beginner. Fun on the water: Access to so many different lakes is just minutes away. The property is about 25 mins from Lake Michigan, 15 mins from Twin Lake (all sport inland lake), 8 minutes from Blue Lake, and 15 mins from Fremont Lake. Muskegon river is also a short distance from the property for a planned summer tubing trip. There is a river side shop that offers tubes for renting if you don't have any of your own. Shopping nearby: Whispering Pines, Amish store is 8 mins away from the property. They offer a host of many different groceries and a deli. Bigger box stores are a 20 minute drive into Fremont. Attractions: Fremont is home to Gerber foods (baby food production) and they hold the Gerber festival every year in mid July. If you are looking for some fun at a theme park, Michigan Adventures is just 20 minutes away from the property. They have rollar coasters and a water park for all ages.
