Hot Showers, no problem, you can enjoy a secluded private shower in our shower house which has indoor and outdoor showers. Nearby is Lake Michigan and Esch Rd beach. There is room for 4 cars, and as many tents as you can set up. We have 4 rules: 1) Leave no trace. Do not leave garbage at camp. DO NOT BURN garbage, people cook in that pit. 2) NO cutting into the live trees. You will get a 0-star review, 100% of the time. 3) Keep cars on the gravel driveway. 4) Put out all fires completely (COLD) and respect any Burn Bans that may be active at the time of your stay. There is room for 4 cars, and as many tents as you can set up. We have 4 rules: 1) Leave no trace. Do not leave garbage at camp. You will get a 0-star review, 100% of the time. 3) Keep cars on the gravel driveway. 4) Put out all fires completely (COLD) and respect any Burn Bans that may be active at the time of your stay. We have local NON GMO Pasture raised eggs $5 a dozen, Sourdough Bread $10, organically grown garlic, peaches, scones & fishing lures & our Guest Book! An outhouse is available for use and is supplied with toilet paper & hand sanitizer. There is a garbage can and recycling bin near the outhouse. We installed a water hydrant close to the flower bed near the wood pile so you can get potable water to bring back to your site, or hose off with on the spot. Easy spot to get to driving; location and directions are accurate. Appreciated the heads up of minimal cell service for Verizon customers. Beautiful spot in the woods. Sandy, flat soil makes tent stakes easy to go in. Plenty of privacy from the road and nearby buildings. A little more road noise than anticipated, but not that bad. Host provided everything needed at the camp site and more: private area for showers/changing, plenty of firewood, picnic table, drinking water, extra table (very helpful!), fire pit, portapot that was exceptionally clean and fully stocked. Host was great at communicating before and during the stay. Location is convenient to all rivers, hiking, etc. in the area. Would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area!

When we arrived and discovered we did not have our crank for our pop up Dean went and made us a crank we could use in his own garage. Talk about above and beyond. Besides Deans kindness, we also enjoyed campfires, looking at the stars and looking at his wife's beautiful Dahlia garden.

Nice quite and secluded rustic camping. Plenty of room in between each camp site(50 to 100 feet) with tree's and bushes in between. Porta potty was very clean with plenty of supplies. There is even a disc golf course on site. There is also a convenience store and Dollar General 3minutes away.

My husband and I rented a site here for our anniversary and we had a great time! The owner was very welcoming and super chill! The showers and restrooms are very clean and smelt good. We will bring our kids here too since there’s an open area with things for kids to do and places for parents to hang out! We came up to ride the trails and there are plenty of spots to start that fun! Thank you, Thomas for being a great host! I’m sure we will be back.

This site is accessible by a gravel driveway that leads to secluded land perfect for your camping getaway. There is tree cover, but also open areas. We have a designated area for camping that includes a fire pit, ground level metal deck, and a comfortable outhouse. There is no power or running water. Experience camping for real! (fun fact: this property has been passed down four generations of women!) We are near downtown Manton, downtown Mesick, and downtown Cadillac. Our favorite places to visit are Dayhuff lake (10 minute drive), numerous seasonal roads and trails, the Manistee River, Traverse City (45mins), Emerald Vale Golf Course (10 minutes), and Pleasant Valley Amish market for baked goods (5 min). Notes based on feedback that we've gotten from campers: -the driveway is steep, as seen in the listing photos. The recommendation for trailer size should be followed (18ft trailer max, plus 17ft car/truck). There is a corner at the top of the hill that might be tight for anything larger. I will note that there is a review where someone made it through with a 21ft trailer plus their vehicle; proceed as you will with this information.
