Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
We currently have camping space available both for tents and camping with an RV.
We are a working farm and home to cows horses, pigs, chickens, a handful of ducks and some of the softest rabbits you will ever meet. We also have a pair of livestock guardian dogs as well as a couple cats, one of which spends much of his time outside.
By June we will have horseback trail rides available at $40/hour per person!
Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on your own or we are always happy to join. Our disc golf course is open year round with t pads and baskets! You can find the course on UDisc.
In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit.
For guests we have a community fire pit in our yard and host fires most nights that we have guests. We also have a sauna that we heat up many nights so feel to let us know if these things interest you. Private sauna is available for $10 for your group

120 acres of country paradise to use as your base camp for adventuring in the Keweenaw. 20 minutes from Houghton and 20 minutes from Baraga/L’Anse. Snowmobile and ATV trail #3 is just a short cruise down Donken-Tapiola Road. Furry friends are always welcome and are able to be off leash! Turtle Pond Site has an approx. 12x30 foot level gravel pad and a fire pit on a small pond frequented by turtles, ducks, deer, birds, and even an occasional beaver. There is a 100 year old Finnish Homestead a short walk down a mowed trail. Guests are encouraged to take a look, but please don't enter the buildings as their integrity is unknown.
We strive to continue to improve our property every year. This year, we are working to improve the pond health and its borders. An updated photo is included in our listing; but you may notice small differences as the property settles back after being disrupted during this improvement. We were able to maintain the privacy that guests compliment in our reviews while also clearing away unnecessary overgrowth.

This site has a private level aggregate 50 foot RV pad overlooking Lake Superior with 50/30 amp service, well water and septic hookups. This site is best for Class A, B or C RV's. Towables will work, but you will need to back in for access to your tow vehicle and your door will open away from the lake. No tents allowed. With respect for our good neighbors, no parties or loud music allowed. This site is for quietly relaxing with your family and friends and enjoying the big lake views.
The site has 100 feet of private sandy beach and great swimming (sandy shallow bottom out 100 feet). Included is a wood fired Sauna to help with the lakes colder water. Also included is a 16x20 deck overlooking the lake, 2 picnic tables, deck chairs, gas grill, charcoal grill, beach chairs and 2 fire rings (Firewood is available to purchase onsite or can be purchased at several places on the way in). A separate flushable toilet enclosure is available and can be used if desired. A canoe, 2 kayaks and paddles are provided for you to use at your own risk (Some lifejackets are in the deck box).
The premium site will support a 40 foot vehicle but require you to disconnect a towable at an angle for access to your vehicle. There is an additional RV parking spot with full hookups that may be available. Contact the host to confirm availability since I sometimes park my boat trailer there. The additional site will support a 36 foot vehicle again requiring you to disconnect at an angle for access to your tow vehicle (30 amps only from this additional site via a provided extension cord). A large Class A or C will require you to have good backup skills to get out and a spotter to watch for obstacles and clearance on the way in and out, but it is easily done. Plenty of blocks are provided for additional clearance if needed.
ATT has good cell service here and Verizon is OK but marginal at times.
Another RV owned by the host will be onsite, but it will not be occupied or interfere with views or use of the property.

What more do you need than a private camping site and your 125' of your own pristine Lake Superior beachfront access? Well, there is the need of a fire ring so we added that, too! Everything else you will to bring to enjoy the million dollar views. Oh, and on the opposite side of the camping site is quiet slough which is great for smooth water paddling and exploring.
Down the gravel road about 1/3 miles are logging roads to hike, bike and explore. OHV trails are a couple miles away but check local maps for detailed information.
Intentionally being minimalists beyond a fire ring and picnic table, there is a port-a-john (of humble means) to make your stay comfortable. You will need to bring your own firewood if you desire a campfire.

Bells Acres is a large property with abundant history! Originally homesteaded by a Finnish family in the 1800s, we are only the 4th family to own this property. Doc Bell operated his veterinarian practice from this farm starting in 1915, giving his name to the creek running through the property and the lake it feeds. A family from Finland purchased the property from the Bell family in the 1960s and lived on the homestead until 2020 when we purchased it. We hope to continue the tradition of generational homesteading, while sharing this piece of God’s country with you!

Heritage Hills isn't called Heritage Hills for nothing! It's situated on 21 acres of what was the original Wawonowin Country Club, a 9-hole golf course that was built in the early 1800s and then closed in the mid 1960s. And now we have a beautiful mix of hardwoods and pines, forests and fields with multiplied non-motorized trails accessible right off the property. The very popular RAMBA bike trails are literally an ‘stones throw’ away! Our biggest site, Fairway Field is big enough for group camping that horse campers love, and one site, the Homestead, with an electric hookup. We don’t have a dump station or trash cans so please pack in and pack out.
Phone signal is good throughout the area and we are close to civilization for necessities and only 20 minutes from Marquette. So much stuff to do in this area!

One of two private boondocking RV/camp sites available right across the street from the public Lake Superior Beach.
Maple Site sits on the corner of Maple Street and Lakeshore Drive only 100’ away from the beach path which has ADA compliant metals mats and a picnic table. You can hear the waves and watch the sunset over the dune on this site surrounded by woods and prairie grass. A mowed walking path also goes from the site to Lakeshore Drive.
Poplar Site sits on the corner of Poplar Street and Maple Street. This site is nestled between the prairie grass and woods and is a short walk either around the corner via road or through the path to the beach which is in sight only a 2 minute walk from your parking spot.
Enjoy a picnic table lunch or dinner on the path that overlooks the harbor break wall and Porcupine Mountains in one direction, and 14 Mile Point to the other. Sites are an 8 block walk or half mile drive to downtown Ontonagon. If water fill, showers, or dump site are needed, Ontonagon Township Campground is less than a mile down the road. Sites are mowed grass fields on solid ground. No fire pits in the campsite but fires are allowed on the beach, just please be respectful and tend to it and extinguish it once you are finished.

This place is something special. There is firewood available at small cost. The toilet was clean and private. Although we didn’t use much (because we had our own stuff) the owner was good with us using some of the camping gear he had available outside of his own RV. My favorite part of the trip was watching the moon come up over the horizon. If you like dark sky’s and seeing more stars than most anywhere else, this is your place. I’m sure the sunrise is just as spectacular, but I’m lazy and didn’t get up for it :).

We happen to be the only campers there during the week. The Homestead site with electric was clean and very quiet. The porta potty was clean. If you are mountain biking the RAMBA trails and want a quiet spot with electricity, I highly recommend Joni and Phil's space.

Great place to stay with kids, family or just adults. We had to move from original campground and found this place an hour away. It was worth it! Beautiful sandy beach, big fire pit and extras near cabins. Kayaks, paddle boards, two docks, cabins, hotel, and two spots for rv's. Electric and water hook up. They turned their pole barn garage into an entertainment area, with washer/dryers, extra bathroom with shower, and outdoor standing bar with sitting. We used this area to cook breakfast outside, with roof over our head. I also used the shower, so I could take longer hot showers then our RV let's us. Easy to find off highway. Didn't mind the sounds of cars going by. Our dogs loved the beach and water. We went more to the side so little kids could enjoy the main beach area. Very nice outdoor sauna. Saw people and kids go in, then jump in lake, and start all over. Only 45 minutes to Marquette, and we visited a few tourist stops. We will be back for sure!

Solid campsite, private and well kept! Nice fire ring/table and private site. As a host myself, the only recommendation would be to put a couple signs in to mark the sites. However, I assume the hosts intend to meet you during check in, removing the need for signage. I would recommend this host to anyone, Excellent Job!

This site is one of a kind. It was clear that the owners took the time to think things through when they set it up. They put signs up with clear instructions for the sauna, water pump, outdoor bathroom, trash, and firewood. They included plenty of toys for outdoor fun (canoe, kayaks, beach toys, etc).
The beach was beautiful, private, peaceful, and clean. The site, itself, was perfect. Easy pull-in and hook up.
We drive a 35ft Class A RV pulling a Jeep. Pulling in was easy, and our rig fit well. Backing out is more challenging, but very doable.....it is easier with a spotter on the outside. This site was perfect an RV, towing a vehicle.
The hosts were terrific. Steve was very helpful and communicative. He was very patient and walked through things with me when I had questions. He really cared that we had a fun and easy time at the site.
I highly recommend this site. We will definitely be returning.

Further, I needed to leave a little bit late because I had a church meeting I needed to do attend online and without reliable cell service in the area she let me stay with my satellite Internet set up until the meeting was over. We absolutely loved camping on Steve’s land (Premium Keweenaw Beach RV Site)! The views are spectacular. Steve and Jayne are wonderful hosts! We called them with a question and they were super helpful and very easy to talk with, felt like we had been friends for years :) They have thought of everything you may want or need, and it is all in really good condition! We really liked the shower to rinse your feet off when coming off the beach. There were signs with very good instructions on how to use everything, we really appreciated that for the sauna :) We absolutely recommend this beautiful property and plan on coming back again next year!

My friends and I had such a good time here! Dax was super cool and communicative. He also has the most obedient dogs I’ve ever seen. Our dog barked at them and they didn’t even glance at her! Their eyes stayed locked in on their owner. So cool to witness! The lake was also beautiful and we loved kayaking and swimming. The sauna and jumping into the lake combo was my favorite! The garage is huge and filled with movies, games, a pool table (also my fave), and has a couch and a place to eat as well. And they sell really cute things. There’s a bathroom and tight shower with hot water. You can also use their washing machine and dryer for five bucks. They have a kitchen there too! Man, this whole place was great. I would without a doubt book another stay here in the future. Thanks so much!

Actually it was site 23. Hipcamp dropped the ball! badly! Sent me a reservation conformation but the RV park never recieved it, i called the park on another matter when the person told me they had nothing feom Hipcamp. The park manager went above and beyond securing me a spot. Without the call, i would have been screwed over, i would stay there again but next time, i'll just call the park. I have lost my confindence with the reservation system from Hipcamp. 4 stars the RV park, 5 stars their Management!

We loved our stay at Joni and Phil’s. The site was very peaceful and comfortable. The individual sites are spaced very generously. It was lovely to see the horses every morning. We mountain biked and walked the dogs on the trails accessible from the property. Joni and Phil were welcoming and helpful. I’d love to stay at a property like this in every destination we visit.
