Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards, shops and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat. New this year is our chicken coop and run. We (Bill) has always wanted chickens.

We have our pup Jazzy Bear on the site, who's the Hostess with the Mostest. When the campsite is full, we do a group bonfire where everyone is invited to get to know each other. We also have an artsy outhouse. Located in Beautiful Benzie Country, in Northwestern Lower Michigan. We are one mile south of Crystal Lake and six miles east of Lake Michigan. Our-house is super insulated and passive solar. We had llamas for their wool and manure. We retired from raising llamas, we had 12 they got old and moved on. We have around 50 fruit trees. The fruit we grow includes apples, pears, figs and paw paws. We also grow grapes, and kiwis, we also put in filberts, walnuts and pecans. We have a beautiful labyrinth peace garden. We don't want barbecue pits on the ground it burns the grass Please check Extras for Pet fees, Campfire Wood and Electric.

This spot is incredible! The rustic cabin is perfect for unwinding. Literally the dream, a peaceful spot in the woods. Tim is a super nice dude and way accommodating. The cabin has a lot of stuff that one may have forgot. Some games, some firewood, things for cooking, a little coffee maker. It was nice to take the family camping without hauling all the gear. Weekend Trip to Cherry Blossom Ranch Jordan Valley

Stayed in the smaller cabin. There was battery operated switch light n small lantern if you needed indoor lighting. Even with M32 traffic I slept like a baby. Watching the stars at night was awesome. Something I hadn’t done since I was a kid. Wish you could post pictures here. It is rustic with outhouse. Close to stores n beach in town. Definitely had the time of my life n so happy I did stay here.

Weekend Trip to HillCrest

Dan and Bill’s place was the perfect home base for our Up North getaway! We explored Kalkaska, Eastport/Barnes Park, Bellaire and Charlevoix, then came back to beautiful sunsets and plenty of space for our 5-year-old to run around. They’ve truly thought of everything, from cold water and ice waiting for us to plenty of towels and all the little things you might need. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, even checking on us after a rainy night to make sure the camper wasn’t leaking. (It wasn’t) We especially loved the balance of privacy with friendly faces nearby. We really enjoyed chatting with both Dan and Bill and felt completely at home. We’ll absolutely be back, and will probably bring friends next time!

The A frame was the coolest place to spend the weekend. It was close to Charlevoix, but still felt extremely secluded and peaceful. John was very responsive as a host and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back in the future!

I just got back from an awesome stay at tree hugger. I cant say enough about this property. Perfect. Cabin was great, beautiful trails to hike and everything you could need for a peaceful relaxing weekend. Highly recommend for anyone that enjoys getting away and enjoying nature. Todd is an excellent host. Will be back to visit again!

Weekend Trip to Private Rustic Pines- Dog friendly

We loved the seclusion of the rustic cabin! A perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin was clean and comfortable and also came prepped with lots of goodies to assist! The extra lights helped a ton and so did having an area to set belongings, both inside and outside. Everything was easy to use and access. Great location being such a short car ride over to Lake Michigan! Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, met us when we arrived to show us around, and gave us some great recommendations for places nearby. The site was clean, peaceful, and very well cared for, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit! We especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the stream each night. The string lights inside and out made the site feel so cozy, and the hot outdoor shower was another favorite! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it.

Weekend Trip to Ricky’s Pine River hunt/camp

Really enjoyed my stay on Ricks property, it has everything you need to relax and recharge. The property is beautiful, well groomed trails with fun/clever decor hidden in the trees. Perfect place for my dog to roam off leash. Wish I could’ve stayed all week! Thanks again Rick :)
