Also new this year is a pond, an above ground pool, a second Porta Pottie, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and a more extensive First Aide Kit, and finally a Keurig and more options at the ‘Refreshment / Charging Station’. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie and Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites, Hammock Haven are located. Each site has a fire ring & picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture (1) and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. It can also take a larger RV. A more secluded site (5) is half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. The others are in the middle of the pasture, 2 for sun lovers and 3 for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Weekend Trip to Billy’s Place in the Woods

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, even checking in during my stay to make sure everything was comfortable. The cabin is very clean, spacious, and well-equipped—with a fire pit, picnic table, three beds, and an outhouse. Despite the temperature dropping to 29°F one night, I stayed warm and comfortable in the dry cabin without needing the propane heater provided. I traveled with two small dogs and felt completely safe. Cooking on-site and having a fire was easy—the host even provided wood, flashlights, complimentary candy, a broom, and a vacuum. The solar panels provided good lighting, and communication was prompt and helpful. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-prepared getaway.

An amazing place to stay if you are looking for a private rustic getaway! My boyfriend and I picked this site to take our 9mo old puppy camping for the first time and it was an incredible experience. We did a lot of hiking, cooking, and relaxing. We saw deer, possums, and turkeys! Just remember to do tick checks!

My husband and I travel all over the country and we have stayed at unique locations over the years. This was a unanimous vote for our very favorite. The setting is something straight out of the cinema. You have 360 views of nature and serenity. The cabin is an art installation. It’s phenomenal. The attention to detail is incredible. The smell of it is something I’d wear like perfume. There is no power and low reception and that’s just what we were looking for. The bathroom is a short walk from the cabin. We brought cute little camping lights that made our stay all the more magical. The sounds of the forest around you and the way the sun and moon both shine down in the woodland is magnificent. We weren’t even checked out before deciding we need to plan a trip back. 10/10.

1 night at 2Chicks And A Farm

I don't know where to begin? The place was beautiful upon entry! Beautiful cats to play with everywhere! My son was in heaven :-) we made great friends with a black kitty named Olivia. She hung out with us while we were camping and even shared some of our breakfast eggs! The pathways were lit at night, the TP that we stayed in was and beautiful condition, clean, well stocked with cleaning supplies and a trash can if needed. We had a bundle of wood that was plentiful! The staff was extremely helpful getting me to my site and making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed! There are vegetables for sale, as well as delicious salsa! The property is extremely well kept and beautiful to look at! Very serene. We had our own fire pit and picnic table also. The campsites were very private, which I really liked. I was very happy that I did not have to share a fire pit with other campers. This was a last-minute trip for my son's 11th birthday and well worth the drive from detroit! We will definitely be back with the rest of the family! I highly recommend two chicks and a farm!

As part of the Scooter and Boys in Scouting America program, I’ve had my fair share of camping trips, but this one was off the charts! 🌟 Imagine staying in a cozy tipi nestled in the woods, surrounded by a vibrant cast of friends—yes, I’m talking about farm animals! We loved our time at Trestle Bell! It was so nice to arrive to our site and have firewood waiting for us, as well as potable water. We really enjoyed the riverside location near Fennville and it was a short drive to Saugatuck and Douglas.

2 nights at Dome Haven Campground

First off let me say, this was the most relaxing camping I've ever experienced! The beds were super comfy, a fridge w/freezer was so cute & roomy, cooking on the skillet over the fire with the well designed fire pit with adjustable racks made it incredibly easy to cook over., and having dish washing service was so nice! Having a pod coffee maker along with pods, creamer & suger made my morning! The private hot tub was so relaxing & everything being spotless made it welcoming. Thank U 😊🙏

Weekend Trip to Black River Trails Campground

Camp is under new ownership in the last year and the work they've been doing really shows! The owners are really giving it their all to make this place special and I can't wait to see what they've done with the place next year! Kayaking was great and the cabins were perfect for what we needed.

1 night at Honey Creek (18+ only)

Had a great stay! The pop-up camper is newer, very cozy, and clean. It was the dead of a very hot summer and I was still pretty cool at night. Richard was a kind and very helpful host -immediately took care of everything I needed. Site is in his large backyard, steps from the Little Manistee river. I'm a fly fishermen and got in a few hours of fishing during just a one night stay. Decent hole with Brown Trout and smallmouth right next to the site. Overall great experience.
