Our site is a great rustic experience, but please be aware &prepared for the lack of facilities - private, no close or visible neighbors - pack in/pack out. Please dispose of your human & animal waste properly - animals allowed, but please let us know what animals/how many you’re bringing. There is a water bowl provided. - please keep animals &humans inside the cleared area, do not rummage through the woods for firewood or let pets run in woods - for extra charge/request: bikes, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, firewood, cooler, farm eggs from our chickens, etc, let us know what you need! - fire ring provided, please keep fires inside ring &check with local DNR for fire bans or restrictions - Quiet hours: 11 pm - 8 am - Firewood: please don’t rummage around the woods. We have some available for purchase or there are plenty of roadside firewood racks around the area - No fireworks, firearms or hunting - Animals you may see: turtles, coyote, deer, fox, squirrel, rabbits, raccoons, mice, bear, small rodents, birds; eagle, hawk, owls, robin, chickadee, woodpeckers, etc. Please do not disturb wildlife. - trash bin & recycling bin provided - Easy access to US23. We are right off of US23, no need for 4WD - We are located right on the old railroad track that is a bike/pedestrian/snowmobile path (see pictures). There are no motorized wheeled vehicles allowed. At Grateful Acres we aim to make your stay with us, as enjoyable as possible. The two sites sit on 3 beautiful, quiet acres in Northern Michigan. Site #1 is flat, open, and spacious, while site #2 is a bit more enclosed and private tucked into the trees. Both sites come furnished with a picnic table, a fire ring with attached grill for cooking and 2 adirondack chairs. The Star gazing at night is absolutley Amazing!! The property is centrally located between Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Alanson. Nearby are many lakes, rivers, state forests, mountain biking trails, golf courses and ski resorts. Jeannie & I loved Phil & Stormy's Place. It was quiet this time of year, and we were lucky to be the only folks at their Camp. They definitely had made it their own, and have great amenities. Firewood & Firepit, 30 amp service, a water hose , picnic table & dry kindling.. 2 Porta Potties on site, and a RV cleanout. Great Wooden games around the site for folks enjoyment. Phil is a world renown Game maker who makes Games and interesting items, which he makes in his shop on site. Sends it all around the world. Besides meeting Phil and Chit chatting, because we are both Hip Camp Hosts, Phil gave us a tour of his Shop and woodworking area. Pretty impressive. He was a great host, and is Passionate about Kubb, a Yard game that was originally played overseas, but because of Phi, brought the game to the US. He actually has his own playing field. We plan on visiting again, as we loved the vibe

I loved the view! Granted it was very windy the day I stayed there so that’s something to consider since your by lake. Very easy to get to the site and overall pretty clean. Had some clutter here and there but not a big deal. My only major critique is one, maybe put stone down on the path to the beach because it had really deep ruts and it was very muddy. I got my car stuck quite a few times. The other is the shower water did not really get warm. Again, not the end of the world but addressing those few things would make the site even better than it already is. Overall I’d give it an 8/10

A great small campground in a great location for a Basecamp to explore northern Michigan from. The owner has put a lot of love into the property. He quickly responds to messages as well.

Perfect spot to explore the area, just 5 minutes to Mackinaw City and the bridge, Todd was very accommodating, allowing 2 RV’s to stay. 45’ truck/trailer(need to back in-no issues) and. 25’ Class C. Site has power (50/30/20) and very nicely fixed up just like your backyard deck. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to return to after a day of exploring.

Great place to stay with our teardrop camper. We booked on short notice to split up a long drive. Very convenient access off I-75 right by the bridge. Easy in and out with a teardrop trailer. Had a porta potty, electric, a light, fire pit, chairs, trashcan. Private enough, although it is close to the road and a house is visible close by on one side. If it's available the next time we pass through on our way to the UP we will definitely stay again!

Hidden Meadow is an awesome property and Phil is a great host. He was incredibly responsive to a couple questions I had prior to booking which enabled me to book Rustic Campsite #4 with confidence it would meet my needs. I’m super stoked I stayed here! Rustic Campsite #4 is perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet! I felt as though there were no other campers and yet the property was full. There was a table with umbrella, fire pit amd wood and a trash can all onsite. There’s also a really nice “outhouse” with a foot pump for water within 50 feet. The Stargazer trail is awesome too! I can say with 100% certainty my next time in the area I will stay again.

A quiet day in paradise. Campsites are very large with fire pit and a bin of free wood is provided on site between the solar showers and portapots. So much beautiful land to walk and explore. If you like a crowd this is not for you. Most times I have been here, there were less than a handful of campers.

We enjoyed the private site and easy access. There was a fire ring, table, chairs and a swing. Plenty of room for our 43' motorhome, tow vehicle and another camper van. Entrance was clearly marked, we did unhook our tow vehicle before getting to the site. We backed in from the road, there was no room to turn around in the actual site You heard road noise during the day, not so much at night. Great location to explore the Island.

Nature’s Peaceful Place couldn't have better proximity to Mackinaw City! It was so simple getting around from the site! As other reviewers mentioned there is highway noise, but you’re still in a little pocket of nature- a great place to sit around a fire after a busy day.
