Hiking
For those looking for an easy stroll, the Dufour Creek Trail is a perfect place to go. There is little to no elevation gain on the trail. The path is on the shorter side, measuring in at 1.4 miles. The Dufour Creek Trail is generally well-kept, though there can be a few muddy sections when it rains. The path leads through a forest of hemlocks and cedars, fully wooded yet easy to follow. You may also get a glimpse of the native wildlife along the way.
Swimming
Perhaps the biggest feature of the entire park is the designated swimming beach. The beach remains very popular with guests, due in part to the clean, sandy shoreline as well as the vast, cordoned-off swimming area filled with shallower waters. There are restrooms and showers on site, which also have a reputation for being clean and well-kept.
Fishing
Indian Lake in Michigan features large swaths of underwater vegetation, making this area a great place for fishing. This is especially true if you are looking for panfish, as you can expect to see plenty of species like bluegill, crappie, and the like. However, there are plenty of other kinds of fish available, including Walleye, Perch, Brown trout, Rock bass, Smallmouth bass, and Northern pike. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to cast your line, whether on the shore or out on the water.
Boating
Getting out onto the lake can be a peaceful experience. You won’t feel cramped, even when sharing the lake with others as there is plenty of room for everyone. With clear water beneath you and great weather, boating at Indian Lake makes for a great pastime.The lake is fairly shallow, with 90% of the area being less than 15 ft deep. The deepest point is 18 ft. Owners of larger boats should keep this in mind when traversing the lake. If you are looking for water access for paddle sports such as kayaking, there is a carry-on access located at Indian Lake State Park at the Western Shore Unit.
Local Eats: One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the culture of a new place is to dive into the local foodie scene and Manistique will not disappoint. Here are a few of the best restaurants, pubs, and local eats in downtown Manistique.

I have a few areas on the property that You can use to suit your needs. you can tent camp or vehicle camp at some and park and walk about 100 feet or so and tent camp only. there is power and water available on the property but not at each site. I am developing this into a place for camping slowly and that's why i only have a few areas as of right now. Unfortunately, there are no bathrooms to use yet.
Update: gps for maps is in correct and takes to to neighbors driveway and home . The mail box for this place is blue and has a red address Tag and a sign that says Sailors Sky. Please turn immediately at mailbox. It has caused problems with having people on neighbors property with flashlights and police being called due to incorrect gsuspicious activity.

Welcome to a rare Lake Superior sand beach property, overlooking Whitefish Bay. This partially wooded site, set back from the main road 250’, offers privacy while also being within the boundaries of the small community of Paradise. Restaurants, groceries and food trucks are a short walk away.
The beach or the stair’s viewing deck offer a great spot to watch the sun rise over the lake while having your morning brew. You can pick wild blueberries in July and August in the woods between your camper and the beach.

Mountain Magic was purchased 10 years ago to begin an off-grid dream for self-reliant Wilderness Survivalist Kellie Nightlinger of Naked and Afraid fame. Kellie is the top-ranked female survivalist in the world as voted on thetoptens.com/survivalexpertskellienightlinger. Kellie teaches wilderness survival and is building her own log cabin on adjacent property to the HipCamp site. Kellie and her new life-partner Rich would be available to teach Survival and off-grid skills to campers schedule permitting. Kellie searched for the perfect off-grid property for 8 years before buying Mountain Magic. The property is steep mountainous terrain with in hiking distance of the Continental Divide Trail. The property is one of the few properties near the trail as one would traverse from the Canadian border in a sourtherly hike or bike or ride before reaching the second paved road transecting the Continental Divide Trail south of the Canadian Border. There are often Elk, Mule Deer, and occasionally White Tail Deer, Mountain Lion, Black Bear and once in a blue moon a Grizzly Bear on the property. Mountain Magic has a great view down a Long valley leading to the Rocky Mountain Front and the Great Plains. The property is situated between 5400-6000’ in elevation. Mountain Magic can be accessed in non-snowy conditions via a private back-County road that switchbacks up the mountainsides from a paved State Highway. In months with snow this off-grid gem can be accessed via snowshoe, AT Skis, Telemark Skis, Snow Cat, or Snowmobile. Transportation may be available by Kellie or Rich depending upon schedule. Mountain Magic is located behind a private gate. Kellie’s log cabin build is now being completed by The Kellie and Rich Team. Cabin amenities available to HipCampers are up for negotiation and consideration. Some possible amenities provided to HipCampers could be drinking water, campfire wood, cooking campifire greats, other camping gear including but not limited to an all inclusive gear package with tent and sleep systems and cooking systems or Camp Hammock set up. 40 acres well off the beaten path. Approximately 6 miles off of State Hwy M-94. A two track will lead you back to 40 acres of undeveloped land containing a variety of pine and poplar. Our private property borders State and Federal Forest land that contains an overwhelming amount of two track roads to explore Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The sky is unobstructed from trees leaving the stars to be enjoyed all night long. A section of the Stutts Creek flows through the property where you can enjoy a quiet morning listening to the water flow and the occasional rise of a brook trout feeding. Deer, Turkey, Grouse, Bears and Wolves are all found in our area and are often photographed by visitors. Please practice safe food storage due to a healthy bear population in the area. You're welcome to set up a campfire wherever you camp, please practice fire safety and adhere to state and county burn bans that may be in effect. Once you arrive you are free to set up camp wherever you want. This is primitive camping so come prepared to enjoy nature at its finest. There is no bathroom so plan accordingly. The property is less then an hour from Lake Superior and the heart of downtown Munising and about 30 minutes North of downtown Manistique. A GPS app such as OnX will help you navigate property lines and show you all the water bodies in the area you can enjoy. The road is generally fine for 2wd but 4 wheel drive is recommended when there is rain or snow in the forecast. Our property is fairly remote which will give you a unique experience. This is a half an acre wooded lot in a residential neighborhood on a 25 mph paved road. It is a back in, full hook-up camping spot that is large enough to accommodate rigs big and small. 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical hook-up available along with potable water and septic. This lot is large enough to accommodate a large camper/motor home and tow vehicle. Vehicles will need to be self contained as there is no bathroom of any kind on the site. Monocle Lake boat launch is 2 miles away. Monocle Lake is an inland 146 acre lake that is great for fishing and water sports. Foot traffic public access to Monocle is a 4 minute walk away. This spot is also a 5 min. Walk away from public access to the beaches of Lake Superior. Walk the miles of beach to your hearts content. Iroquois Point light house is along the way. Spectical Lake overlook is merely 3.1 miles away on a county road legal for ORV's. The overlook is the gateway to the Hiawatha National Forest trails. This area has many activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Single Track hiking and mountain biking trails and northern lights if you are lucky enough to catch them on the beach of Superior.
This campsite is along the U.S. Forest Service Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway. Make this spot your home away from home while touring all Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula has to offer.

The scenic byway is beautiful to drive and offers many places to stop and enjoy Superior. The neighbors on one side are a little close, but it was no problem at all. My husband and I stayed at Superior Sunrises and had a great time! The place was easy to find and tucked away. You're very close to restaurants and stores which is great, but it's tucked back far enough to feel secluded.
The deck overlooking Lake Superior was definitely our favorite part. Absolutely stunning!
It was very nice having access to electricity and water. We didn't plan on using it, but it got pretty cold so we had to pull out our tent heater.
The hosts were very helpful and created a great space for memories.
We will absolutely be back in the summer!

Compared to the business and crowds of the nearby state campgrounds, this is an oasis. Paradise is the perfect name for this spot! Tucked in a little town yet feeling completely secluded, this campsite strikes the best balance of convenience and privacy. I loved being able to walk across the street to the grocery store, then return to a peaceful site with water and electric hookups plus access to a private sandy beach. The location made an ideal home base for exploring the area, and the bonus was the local food trucks—don’t miss the freshly caught whitefish and definitely grab the onion rings. 10 stars! I’ll absolutely be back.

Beautiful view and very responsive and gracious hosts! I loved having this private beach entrance, beautiful sunset and sunrise! They have everything you need from electric, water, picnic table, fire pit! And there’s a little store across the street if you need anything else! And also a few little eateries along the main road as well! Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much!

Definitely coming back! Truly cannot beat that beautiful and super private beach right on Lake Superior. Best of both worlds - feels like you're in the middle of nowhere down at the beach + being able to pop into town for a quick bite to eat is a bonus. This campsite was exactly what we needed. Good power, a water fill and dump station, and excellent and clean bathhouses that were way more luxurious than showering in our RV. Kathy and Pete were also very friendly and helpful for anything we needed. Thanks guys!!
