Private Cabin Driveway Stay | Forest + Lake Access Enjoy a quiet and private stay on our cabin property bordering 40,000 acres of Hiawatha National Forest. This site offers 110 electric hookup, Starlink internet, and water fill service (we’ll gladly assist since there’s no exterior spigot). Trailer parking is in the cabin driveway (no shared occupancy during your stay). The space fits campers up to 30 ft, though backing can be tight and requires some skill. We’re dog friendly with a fenced yard, and Lake Huron is just a quick walk away — perfect for beach days, biking, and exploring the Eastern U.P.

Perfect for tents, small campers, and adventurers seeking solitude, wildlife, and star-filled skies, this property borders expansive forest and offers miles of quiet walking and exploring right from your campsite. Despite the privacy, you’re only minutes from Hessel’s charming village amenities including restaurants, library, community center, and public Lake Huron beaches. The Mackinac Bridge is just a scenic 30-minute drive away. This is a primitive site with no water or electric, ideal for self-contained campers who appreciate nature and simplicity. Guests must be fully self-sufficient and comfortable camping without hookups. • Primitive off-grid campsite — no water, electric, or restroom facilities • Suitable for tents, vans, and small campers comfortable on natural terrain • Access via groomed forest trails and meadow clearing • Guests must pack in and pack out all trash (Leave No Trace) • Self-contained campers only — no dumping or gray water discharge • Dogs welcome but must be supervised due to wildlife presence • Quiet hours encouraged to preserve the peaceful forest setting • Check-in after 2 PM | Check-out by 11 AM (flexible when possible — message us)

Backing up to 40,000 acres of Hiawatha National Forest, this spot is perfect for campers who love quiet woods, starry skies, and outdoor adventure. The driveway is a little snug, so confident backing skills are helpful — but once settled, you’ll have a cozy and private Up North basecamp with Lake Huron just a short walk away
