3 nights at Sherman City Acres

Megan was quick to respond to any questions! We stayed at Whispering Waters campsite over Easter weekend. This campsite can accommodate two travel trailers and there's lots of room. The area down by the river is spectacular! We definitely want to come back again to enjoy the site during warmer weather. This place is a gem!

2 nights at Sherman City Acres

The site was perfect! Lots of room for hanging out and the river is only a short walk away. We weren’t planning on a snow storm as we were arriving at the site but the host was super helpful and brought us some dry firewood so we could get our fire started and warm up. If you are looking for a nice quiet campsite with lots of room and plenty of wilderness, this is a great spot. The host was also super responsive to any questions I had prior to our trip. We look forward to checking out some of their other sites this summer.

Weekend Trip to Sherman City Acres

What a perfect spot! We had full hook ups so we stayed nice and toasty in November. We loved the solitude, wildlife and of course the river. Exactly what we needed. The spot was very well kept. We want to come back in the summer to enjoy the c river. Our dog enjoyed being off leash too.

This property is the perfect location to stop and relax while you are traveling on the White Pine Trail. We have cabins and campsites with water and electricity. It is centrally located between Grand Rapids and Cadillac. We offer river access, kayaking, disc golf, bathrooms, showers, and a dump station. This is an old church camp with 15 different buildings. We recently built a road to go down to the river so it's not as steep as it was. My goal is to restore all of the buildings to what they should be. The two trails cross each other at several locations, but "You Are Here" maps are located at trail junctions to aid in navigation. **Update** We are making improvements this year to add our furnished cabin as an option for rent to those that prefer indoor "Glamping". The cabin includes a cozy bed, living space with couch, chair, kitchen table & chairs, stove, refrigerator and bathroom. We will also be adding an outdoor shower. Pictures and prices to be posted soon as we complete this project. We have 60 acres with a mix of grassy fields, rolling terrain, food plots and wooded areas. There is two smaller ponds on site along with remote areas which are perfect for primitive tent camping away from the barn. You will have access to the entire 60 acres so feel free to explore and enjoy the wildlife. We have a century old barn on site, currently the barn is not available for use but we hope to renovate it in the future. Our property is perfect for taking those special family photos and the barn and terrain have been featured in many family backdrops. We are about a mile from the Scenic Pere Marquette River which is home to some fantastic fishing opportunities or spend the day paddling and exploring. There are also numerous lakes and streams within just a few miles and the beautiful Ludington Beach and State Park are within 20 minutes. The North Country Trail is nearby as well as numerous acres of public land with excellent hunting opportunities. We do have a fire pit, picnic table, charcoal grill as well as a patio table with 4 chairs & umbrella on site and we are adding to the site all the time.
