Early September Update: The river is at its 100% peak best summer quality. Still quite warm and PERFECT for lounging, floating, kayaking and snorkeling (20 ft visibility or better).
A few details about our sites in the general camping area: Sites 1, 3, 8,9,10,11 have 13x20 shade sails, 2,4,5,6,7 have 10x13 shade sails that are also weatherproof. For larger groups, I recommend any of the sites with the larger shade sails as they have a bit more space than the others.
Enjoy the nearly direct access to the CO Canal Historic Park and the kid friendly, serene stretch of the Potomac River we border. Choose from 11 similar sites available for your camping pleasure in our clover filled bottomland as well as our Hilltop sites for maximum privacy, exclusivity and star gazing potential. The surrounding old growth forest makes for a great hiking and biking as well as a very accessible and kid friendly cave to explore. All sites now have either 10x13 or 13x20 shade sails available to keep the afternoon sun at bay: recommended.
We have two kayaks on site free of charge. We have some life vests, but if you have your own, bring those along. The river's main beach located between sites 7 and 8, is shaded/filtered sun all day long while our smaller beach at site 1 is sunny most of the day and affords some of the nicest river lounging via a rock ledge that spans
4wd or All Wheel Drive are recommended. If it's been relatively dry, single wheel cars are 100% fine. We have ways to mitigate most weather events.
Please pre-order firewood and/or shade sails via a message to me when booking your stay and save the 18% "booking fee" or add them via the "extras" section for your site so I can have it waiting for you. $40 buys you a long night's ++ burn worth of well-seasoned hardwood. - OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there.
-This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. Again, please come here to chill, playing football/volleyball or similar sports and screaming/cheering while your neighbor is trying to enjoy their time here is rude.
-This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. DO NOT THROW FOOD SCRAPS IN THE CREEK!
-There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers.
- Do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is a common sense insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property.
-Due to many guests asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times.
- No generators!

Experienced horse riders can book horse rides for $50/hr. per person. Inexperienced riders must be led using a lead rope. Signed waivers and provided helmets are required.
Our in-ground, unheated swimming pool is open mid-April to end October. $60/hr.

The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river.
Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching.

Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Experience the vibrant wildlife that inhabits our surroundings, from daily sightings of deer and squirrels to nightly visits from barred owls and bats. Keep an eye out for occasional appearances by turkey, sapsuckers, woodpeckers, porcupines, raccoons, foxes, and coyotes, with the possibility of encountering a black bear annually and even a rare sighting of a mountain lion. During March through June, lucky visitors may stumble upon up to 8-inch black morel mushrooms, while certain years bring the elusive cicada and their deafening buzz. Summer nights are illuminated by enchanting displays of lightning bugs (fireflies) amidst the warmer temperatures.

Located on the Scenic Wicomico River a potomac tributary. The property is close to the Wicomico Shores boat ramp and fishing pier. Also close by is the Wicomico Shores Golf Course, where aside from golfing you can enjoy an amazing burger and a beverage.
Come kayak and fish or just enjoy a great sunset and campfire.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at this private campground about 30 minutes from Ocean City, MD, and it was exactly what we needed — a peaceful nature retreat with all the right comforts! The property perfectly balances rustic charm with modern conveniences. We loved having access to clean, well-maintained bathrooms and incredibly hot showers that felt like a luxury after a day outdoors.
The owner was fantastic — super friendly, flexible, and genuinely helpful with anything we needed. It made our stay so much more enjoyable knowing we could reach out easily.
What truly made this place special was the adorable animal crew that runs the property! The goats are absolute stars — so friendly and curious that they came right up to us for pets. The chickens and the very cute duck were just as charming, wandering around and adding so much personality to the grounds. We couldn’t stop smiling every time we saw them!
The location is ideal too — close enough to enjoy a day at the beach in Ocean City or Assateague Island, then come back to relax by a fire while nature sings you to sleep. Whether you’re tent camping, in an RV, or staying in one of the mini cabins, this spot has something for everyone. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking to unplug and recharge. We’ll definitely be back!

TJ’s directions were super clear and he was accommodating to our late arrival. We were in town for a baseball tournament, and this location made for easy travel back and forth. Our kids loved visiting with the goats and fishing in the pond (lots of little bass reeled in)!

Was everything we expected it to be. Site was nice and flat restrooms were clean and well maintained. The goats came to visit the first day we were set up they hung out for a few and went on their way. It was late in the season so activity was minimal which worked out well for us.

Absolutely loved camping here and made some nice memories with friends and family over the Labor day weekend. The RV/campsites were located conveniently spaced out and with a nice open view. All other facilities were adequate and conveniently located and host TJ was super responsive and helpful all the time. Highly recommend to all, especially for family with kids.
