Learn about the Gateway to Acadia: We now have water! A 300’ well and a hand pump make for some ice cold water onsite, It’s a little rusty in color but great for washing dishes and bathing. Space and privacy! 3 acres to yourself, sweeping views and sunsets including a glimpse of Cadillac Mountain from across the Bay. 12x12 cozy shelter! No electricity in the Timber Tent, but there are power outlets on the electric pole at the beginning of the driveway. Feel free to bring your tent, camper or stay in the cabin. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

We enjoyed the beach, and I would highly consider coming back at a warmer time. The campsite we stayed at wasn’t as big as it looked in photos, so there was some maneuvering near the old house to fit our two tiny trailers. It was an hour to the main Acadia entrance, but so beautiful out there. If camping in tick season, bring spray and check your dogs. We were covered. Beach was 100/10.

We had the best time at this site. The views were absolutely incredible. We had better sunset views from the campsite than we even would in Acadia. Having the water, electric plug, and bathroom on site was so helpful, too. We ended up tent camping, but the little house was such an added perk, too for storage, spending time together, etc. I can’t recommend this spot enough!!

We loved this place so much we booked 5 days originally only to extend and stay 14. Most definitely one of my favorite campsites ever. Woods, beach, calm, quiet, serenity, sunsets! private, harbors, trails, kayaks, Acadia! Really loved this place and the beauty it offers..other guests indicated they had returned 3 and 4 times already. Cannot say enough about Lily, just an amazing host and person who went way out of her way to navigate a few challenges (imposed by ourselves) during our stay. Quick to respond to all of it and had solutions all along the way. Would vote best host of any stay and cannot wait to return to this amazing property. An amazing variance of sunsets and the bay was completely still and other times crashing waves at the private beach. Would give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks Lily!

Weekend Trip to Maine Christmas Tree Farm

my husband and i camped at the christmas tree farm for 2 nights while going to the common ground fair. it was convenient to be so close, and we had a lot of privacy and space. we enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner on our little stove top at the picnic table on top of this hill with a beautiful view of the fields and mountains. the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely divine and we slept under a bright blanket of stars! jesse was incredibly accommodating and helpful, while also giving us space to relax and enjoy our stay. our only challenge was finding a flat place to camp, but by the second night we found a spot that suited us well. i'd recommend arriving before nightfall to pick out an ideal flat camping spot if you're tent camping. cheers!

We stayed here for a month while sightseeing Maine. Michael was a terrific host!! The site was clean, spacious and everything we hoped! Michael is very knowledgeable about the area and even knew where we could get the BEST homemade blueberry pies! Michael is very friendly and accommodating to his campers and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we hoped (and turned out to be more than we hoped). Highly recommend this host and the beautiful area of Cherryfield, Maine.
