3 nights at Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond

I had a great time at Robert's cabin. I was very pleased with the necessities that were provided: camp chairs, a grille to set cookware on over the fire, and a tick removal kit were among the highlights. I had fun exploring the property and paddling Tilden Pond. I did get my 2WD car stuck in the mud on the way out, though, so coming in a 4WD vehicle would be best!

Weekend Trip to The Point

This spot was lovely. With a short walk to the water, we got to spend some time in the woods as well as on the coast. Having portapotty access was nice, which was also a short walk from the site. The fire ring was in good condition with a swingout for cooking, the picnic table was very useful, and the provided chairs were a nice touch. The other sites on the property were not too close - the A frame is on the water, and the trailer is a bit inland, and the camping site we were at is a further walk up the hill so we didnt see our neighbors much unless they walked up to use the portapotty or leave in their cars.

Second time here and would come back again in a heartbeat! We loved sunset beach fires and watching the seals on the island - even got to see seal pups with their moms! Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Weekend Trip to 100 Mile Wilderness Cabin

The cabin and surrounding land was better than even expected. The pictures don't do this property justice. A literal slice of heaven with every convenience available. Paul has made this off-grid cabin feel so comfortable and welcoming. I can't wait to book this place again.

Our stay at the tent site on Deer Isle was nothing short of magical. The location was stunning, surrounded by lush trees and the soothing sounds of nature. The site was well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness.We loved the privacy and peacefulness, allowing us to fully unwind. The nearby hiking trails offered breathtaking views, and the sunsets kayaking over the water were unforgettable. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided all the cooking things like grill and the cooking propane stoves and helpful tips about local attractions and activities and the best lobster places to eat.

We absolutely loved our stay at Nachos place!!! We went into the weekend expecting a miserably cold and wet camping experience. Instead Dan offered us to stay in his cozy and comfortable camper. Not only did Dan turn our weekend around with a warm dry place to sleep but he also had everything we could need! From water, to a grill and even a coffee maker. I highly recommend staying at Dans place! The location is great and the hospitality is even better 😊 thank you Dan!!!

Amazing site. Great location if you’re hiking Acadia and very affordable compared to a lot of Other places. Host was very responsive even though we need much. Definitely would stay again!!

3 nights at The Point

Our stay was wonderful! The wagon sits in view of a coastline that is equally beautiful in rain, fog, or sun—and we experienced all three. The kayak rental is well worth springing for if you can't bring your own. Waters this clean and clear are a dream to paddle in, and there's a lot of wildlife to see on and in them. Seals seem to be fairly common! Lush trails are a stone's throw from the site, so there's something for hikers, birders, and amateur mycologists, too. The owner was kind and attentive throughout our stay. We'll be back for sure!

This is just a wonderful place. It is well loved and well thought out. It wants to continue and expand upon its campground roots. It is quiet and wooded, and the facilities are great. Clean bathroom and shower, a place to wash dishes, and a wonderful community space with the comfort of a woodstove and/or wooded decks and chairs. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by was the price of the sauna. A tad high for this communal and welcoming space. Highly recommend.

This cabin is what you need if you want a true outdoor experience and Paul is the host you need. I would 100% recommend this place and I will come back because there is so much to explore.

Daniel was very nice, and the property was beautiful and hosted many birds, which made for peaceful moments. The weather shortened my trip, but I hope to revisit in the height of summer! I recommend checking out Barred Island and Settlement Quarry areas when staying here.

Weekend Trip to Hillside Gateway to Acadia/Schoodic

I loved this campsite. The cabin was perfect for sleeping and hanging out especially because we did not have great weather. The cabin and the outhouse were both clean and in great condition. I definitely hope to return when there are clearer skies to enjoy the sunrise and stars. The site is huge and quiet. It took us a little under an hour to get there from Gorham mountain. My dog loved exploring the land. Firewood and cooking tools were provided.

Our stay at The Point Campground was absolutely wonderful! Tucked away just minutes from Acadia National Park, this spot is a peaceful, rustic retreat that lets you truly connect with nature. The location is perfect—close to amazing hikes, scenic coastal drives, and Bar Harbor, but still far enough removed to feel secluded and serene. The campsites were spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of tree cover and privacy. We stayed in a tent site, and waking up surrounded by the sounds of the forest was the perfect way to start each day. While The Point doesn’t have showers, that’s part of its charm—it’s a true camping experience that encourages simplicity and being outdoors. There are clean restrooms, and everything else you need to be comfortable.

It was open to the public through to the 90s, but then sat alone for 15 years, waiting for someone to revive it and bring it back to the world. Old Quarry Campground is on the site of an old granite quarry. We have 13 tent sites, each outfitted with a 12x12 tent platform, fire ring, and picnic table. Two of the 13 sites are ocean front, and 3 of them are RV accessible. Our campground has many ocean based activities including rental kayaks, canoes, sailboats, SUP's, and motor boats. We have certifed kayak guides and sailing instructors on staff who can take inexperienced boaters out on guided trips. We also have charter boat trips out to see many kinds of wildlife, to swim in a fresh water swim quarry, and to haul lobster traps. If you are up for an adventure, Old Quarry is the place to be.
