We purchased this land a few years ago when our neighbors decided to sell. It abuts our property They used it as a place for their family to gather and camp on during Maine wonderful summer season. It is a beautiful, quiet spot with a great view and a small pond. Hipcamp lets us share this spot and helps pay our property taxes.We are located in the western mountains of Maine in a summer community on Porter Lake. There is a beautiful view of New Vineyard mountain from our 3 acre field. We have 2 trailer sites with power and water (non potable) and an out house. The field has several fire pits and soft grassy spaces for pitching tents. The camping area is fairly private from our neighbors along the road. The site has a small private pond surrounded by trees you can sit and relax near. You can (walk/bike/drive) the 1/4 mile down the dirt road to the public beach. The beach has a public dock, boat ramp, swim float, picnic tables and grills. Paddle out to the island and try the rope swing with one of our kayaks or canoes. Be sure to check out the bald eagles that live in the white pine tree just a little farther down the island. You will hear the loons during your stay and possibly see a mother with her babies on her back. There are also ducks and ducklings and geese with gosling paddling about the lake. The state stocks the lake with trout, splake, and salmon if you like to fish. There is plenty to do right here!

Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Tender Field hip camp is located on a quiet rural road not far from the town of Lewiston. It sits on 35 acres, 4 acres of field and the rest is wooded with a sweet small creek that leads to a series of beaver dams. At the end of the property you can get a distant view of Mt Washington. This Hip Camp site has just added the option to rent a Jayco Popup Camper and now has an outhouse on site 1. Be there first to explore. There is a cleared trail with several nice camping spots. And if you want to explore more. Near by you can either visit a quaint town called Lisbon Falls which offers some lovely outdoor activities or go to Lewiston/Auburn and venture into the twin cities. There are some decent restaurants, a few pubs and Bates College has a great art museum and sweet outdoor waling garden area. There are also a few hiking trails to explore, Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary or Mt Apetite.

This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

What a gorgeous site this is! Choose between two awesome cabins or campsites. You cannot go wrong with any of them. Dale Cabin is well equipped with a stocked kitchen, desk, stove, and bed. I really loved having a fire by the water. My dog loved the trip too!

We spent an amazing couple nights tenting out right next to the Androscoggin River at John's 3rd camp site. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating — when we arrived we found our canoe that we rented was already waiting for us by the river's edge. Which is truly a must if you visit here as there is plenty to explore offshore. If the water doesn't entice you, there are also over 12 miles of trails a rock throw from the site that you are able to explore. Because of the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, the undeniably beautiful views of the river (add on the fall foliage as a major perk), as well as the ability to explore an amazing area, is why we have full intensions of coming back again.

Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!

Water is low this season, but this is across from the direct water access at the site

Awesome spot! Cheri was an excellent host and the spot is ~100ft from a creek. Pro tip: if you want to get to the main river faster, walk to the back of the meadow and down the embankment along the water. Much easier if the water is low.
