1 night at Punkin Hollow Resort

I had a great time visiting on a solo trip with my dog! Everything was clean and enjoyable, and the creeks are pretty to walk along. If you're visiting in March/April, make sure to look at upcoming weather for potential storms. We got caught in an overnight thunderstorm, which made the creek water rise and was not passable for my low car (Ford Fusion Hybrid). We ended up having to stay an extra night, but it all worked out well! The host was understanding, a fellow camper shared their food, and Jon was responsive and super helpful! We would definitely visit again.

2 nights at Treehouses, Off the Grid!

Staying in a tree house has always been a dream of mine, and this one was fabulous. The house was great as was the area surrounding: fire pit, hammock and swing. We spent many hours on the trails and especially enjoyed Jacob's Ladder trail. There was peace of mind knowing the whole property was fenced in. We felt very safe and our dog loved walking the trails off leash with us. Bad weather rolled in our last night, and Shelly was very communicative, making sure we were aware of the watches and warnings, and giving options for where to head if we felt we were in danger.

Such a cool place. So nice to be off-grid to just be in nature. I enjoyed putting my phone down and just hanging out by the creek. Felt like a good brain reset, and cabin was so cozy.

Amazing as always! We had a group of 50 there in all types of camping (campers, tents, treehouses, etc). Everyone had a great time and we were able to both gather as a group and have some fruitful family time. Looking forward to coming back!

We had such a relaxing stay at Handyland. The cabin was so cozy and the stars were absolutely stunning at night. We walked the trails and they are beautiful. Don’t miss them. Josh made sure we had everything we needed. Our dog was able to get some exercise and explore. We all left happy campers and would definitely stay again.

Was a beautiful property tucked back in the foothills of the mountains with a creek rolling by all the time making a beautiful noise. Really enjoyed the snow and building a warm fire outside, going inside the cabin to warm up as needed and bird watching. The bed was amazing. Will definitely be back in the spring/summer. :)

Loving Farm is a 6 acre working flower farm and nature preserve in the heart of Nepton, Kentucky (within Ewing). Bordered by Johnson Creek and a railroad, supposedly being revived. TBD. Marietta and Perriee (aka, "The Girls") are a happily married couple who are the current caretakers of the land and live in the house on the property. Half of the property, along the creek, is currently being nature-scaped after not mowing it since 2022. Since then, we have been maintaining mowed pathways and planting seeds, trees, and vegetables that can be found in pockets along the way. The revitalization has led to a resurgence of sunchokes, golden rod, and other native species, in addition to some ragweed, which we have been managing diligently as the space matures. Camp sites are located in this part of the property, mostly along the creek. We also have a White Duck bell tent that is on a deck that overlooks the trails, which can be reserved as well. Our home is also on the property, along the railroad, where our more cultivated gardens are located. We have cats and ducks on the property and appreciate not having other animals from guests, out of respect for their comfort. There is a porta-potty on site and a Trelino composting toilet for guest use in the flower studio bathroom. The flower studio has a bathtub and is plumbed with city water. Cold water is available from an outdoor spigot 24-7. This space is used by Perriee and Marietta for flower storage, seed starting, and baking for events and will remain accessible to guests while staying for the use of bathroom. We would ask you not cook or store food in the kitchen as we use it for business purposes, but the space does have an air conditioner in the event someone needs to cool off. Regardless, it is likely that you will run into another guest here, and cross paths with one of us while working in the studio during the day. The Nepton Warehouse, located on the property, is visible from the road and is used for events here on the farm. We will let you know if an event will be happening during your stay in the event that you want to come during a quieter time. Nepton is a great community with the rural feel you are looking for if you want to camp in nature but be a little closer to people. Cars pass, the hospital is close, but the cicadas hum, the stars are bright, and the sky is big and beautiful. Be sure to check out the following attractions if you are interested in something to do while here: Turtleback Ridge Brewery (also on Hipcamp for an overnight), Yoder's Dinner Bell Market, look for the Honey sign around the corner at Ellessare Farm, stop at Nepton Greenhouse and say hello to Nancy and Daniel, and of course shop at the Fleming County Farmer's Market during the season (open Tuesday evening and Saturday mornings).

HomeGrown HideAways is a farm, lodging, and event facility nestled in a hundred-acre holler in the Appalachian foothills near Berea, Ky. Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required. For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse). All guests from tent to treehouse have access to our solar-powered Community Farmhouse featuring a fully-stocked chef-inspired kitchen, restrooms, coin-op laundry, and upstairs multi-purpose room with a library and board games. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with additional cooking space including a grill, microwave, and sink (sink is closed in the winter so the pipes don’t freeze). Next to the Farmhouse is a massive pavilion with picnic tables for al fresco dining and firewood bundles to purchase. BRING CASH! Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap. The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. For other activities, restaurants, shopping, music, and more, we're happy to share our favorites, but highly recommend checking out the Berea Tourism website.

Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. In progress, “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin currently still under construction. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the future. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. We are simple, ordinary people who just want to share some of the things we love about life with others. On a clear note, there are beautiful images of the stars here. You will also have accessibility to a telescope.

Natural Bridge State Park is located only a few minutes away off the Slade exit. - There is camera surveillance at Biggie cabin for safety reasons: Camera on deck, camera facing driveway, camera facing the left side of property opposite of driveway, camera in crawlspace covering sump pump to ensure proper functionality of the sump pump, and camera in owners closet to protect against guest intrusion. No cameras cover any common areas. -- OUR POLICIES – - We recommend reading our Guest Rental Agreement entirely prior to booking. - Check-in begins at 4 pm. Check-out is by 10 am. Please note that arriving early or departing late will result in additional charges. Please be respectful of check-out time to allow adequate time for the property to be cleaned for the next guest. - No smoking (outside only) - No events, parties or large gatherings containing more than 14 people. - Must be at least 21 years old to book - Additional fees and taxes may apply - Photo ID is required to make a reservation and may be requested upon check-in or at any point during the stay -- THE CABIN -- You are going to love the convenience of this property (located just 5 minutes to grocery stores and restaurants in Stanton). This wooded escape features a creek at the rear of the property with a walkway above it (creek may be dry during certain seasons). Rest comfortably with the support of a highly-rated care team available for any concerns you might have during your stay. Step into the open living area which features gorgeous real wood walls, stone fireplace (for looks, not functional) and ample Red River Gorge decor. Sit back on the couch in the living room and watch your favorite movie or on one of many smart TV’s throughout the cabin. The 85" giant smart TV in the loft is perfect for movie nights! Prepare your favorite meal in the fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of cabinet space. Open a bottle of wine and reconnect with loved ones at the custom-made log wood dining table. Sip your morning coffee outside while you listen to the birds chirping all around you. The Nada Tunnel entrance to the Red River Gorge is just 10 minutes away and offers ample hiking trails, bird-watching, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, and fishing opportunities. On your way there, be sure to check out the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway! A picturesque drive will bring you to the Red River where you can cross a swinging bridge for a truly unique experience. During your trip, marvel at the beautiful scenery and wildlife that lines the road. Have some fun on the water when you visit Mill Creek Lake for kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, and fishing. Bring the family to Hemlock Lodge for lunch in the picnic area. Visit Natural Bridge State Resort Park for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see a million-year-old sandstone arch accessible via a scenic hike or a relaxing ride on the sky lift. Soar like an eagle through the trees on an exciting zipline ride when you stop by Cliffview Resort. Receive rock climbing lessons and guided climbs when you visit Southeast Mountain Guides. Occasionally, guests may experience weather conditions or power outages that are out of the host's control. The host will do all they can to assist, but are not responsible for issues beyond their control. We make every effort to keep the hot tub functioning perfectly, as it is the most requested amenity. However, mechanical problems may occur that cannot be resolved quickly in this remote area and no refunds are made if this occurs, per the terms of our rental agreement. Enjoy the many other amenities, beautiful surroundings, and area adventures during your stay. Pets Only Allowed at Pet-Friendly Cabins. Pets brought to Pet-friendly Cabins must be paid for in advance or at time of booking. We do allow (1) animal per booking and it must be approved via an inquiry/message to us prior to submitting your reservation. We charge a non-refundable pet fee of $150 and any additional cleaning and/or damages will be billed in addition to this amount. A minimum of $350 per animal will be charged to the guest for animals brought to non-pet-friendly cabins and/or for animals that were not pre-approved. No charge for service animals or emotional support animals. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change and you must cancel or reschedule your stay. A $100 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations and no refunds are allowed within (30) days or less of your booked check-in date. We will work with you to reschedule your dates if your check-in date is greater than (30) days away. No refunds are permitted due to sudden inclement winter weather, but come anyway and get snowed in with us! Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holidays, which include but is not limited to: New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. For a possibility of a full refund, you may be given the option to purchase renters/trip insurance during the booking process depending upon the booking platform you are using. Mark Twain is the camper you are renting at River Run Retreat, River Run is a private retreat we share with our guest. It is a picturesque, just a beautiful water front property. It is 3 + acre property with a huge open field for whatever you like as long as you dont do serious damage to the grass. Football, baseball, volley ball, corn hole what ever makes you happy. A multitude of huge mature trees, making it such a beautiful setting and providing lots of shade for just hanging out or relaxing. Swings, slides and playsets for the little ones. For the water enthusiast and serious fisherman River Run has its own private dock with two slips and the ability to dock several boats around the perimiter. We have two gas powered john boats that can be rented in addition to your camper with a signed waiver but feel free to bring your own kayaks , or smaller fishing type boats. ( no yachts or pontoons ) There are miles of river to be explored with lots of amazing natural beauty. The Kentucky river has a great variety of fish for your chasing, large and small mouth bass, walleye, muskie, drum, pan fish an abundance of nice size channel cats which are so much fun to catch. Talk to me nice and I might give you some tips. There is so much here you will have to come and see for your self. FYI gang plank going down to the dock is steep so depending on your physical condition the dock may not be accessible to you.
