What a great spot. Very private and a perfect place to camp. The site is sat between 2 creeks and our young boys (2 and 4) absolutely loved exploring every bit of it. The hosts were very nice and provided firewood! Will definitely be coming back.

Weekend Trip to Lake View camping
The campsite had running water and a small bathroom with hot water to wash your hands. 3 areas to fish. 2 kayaks available to use. Bathroom was kept nice and clean. It was just us on the tent camping side over the weekend. We caught a good amount of bluegill and catfish. William was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival and gave us a run down of what to expect. Fishing rules are in the bathroom as well. Everything was great overall. My kids had a blast.

A hidden gem! I woke up to a herd of deer(7) and humming birds drinking dew. Crazy that you're 15-20 minutes away from downtown Louisville and camping underneath the stars. Perfectly located to most tourist areas of the region, you're 30 minutes away from the beginning of the Bourbon Trail, 20 minutes to Churchill Downs. Sites are very roomy and away from the next site. Although the sites are primitive there are portalets and a hand washing station as well as firewood available anytime using payment apps. Walmart and groceries within 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you want some nature and convenience of being close to everything!

Get-a-way. Quiet and dark. Calm and peaceful. Kind hosts greet you and then leave you to yourself. This site offers no frills but everything you need. From a common area with propane, grills, and some snackage, to included kayaks and a canoe. Quiet country roads—the kind that could take you home to the place you belong—allow walking and cycling and are never too far from a grocery or small town restaurant.
WiFi does not exist here and that is okay (I promise). You will get a few bars for texting and some minor streaming. Radio and digital TV signals from Evansville (IN) and Louisville (KY) allow for some connection if you want it. Otherwise, wake up, have a coffee, stare at the pond, read, check and then ignore your email, take a nap, write a little, catch some sunfish or small bass or crappie, throw them back, buy things from Amish roadside stands (especially bake sales), go to the Dollar Store for groceries 10mins away.
Wanna go a bit further? Go hiking or fishing or boating 30min away at Rough River State Park, drive 30ish mins to Owensboro for Barbecue the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and Green River Distillery, visit Holiday World Theme park an hour away for a couple of the country’s best rollercoasters and a giant waterpark with free sodas and free sunscreen, or drive 90 mins to Mammoth Cave National Park.
Regardless, don’t go here or tell anyone about it because I don’t want it to get busy…

I loved how much space the campsite had and it was very conscientious for our plans the following day. Ken was very kind to allow us to check in as late as 10pm after we came across some issues with travel. 10/10 would visit here again!

We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice.
The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing!
It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate.
Would stay here again!

1 night at Mollys Ridge Glamping and Camping
The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm.
The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in.
It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

this was an easy to access, beautiful piece of land!! I really appreciated their communication and clarity from the hosts. it was out of the way, but easy to get to town and the trails nearby so it didn't feel too isolated. the creek nearby was partially dried and made for fun exploration as well.

This spot is absolutely gorgeous and worth the effort to get to. The campsite sits right beside a shallow stream with a smooth stone bottom (I think limestone),l. My dog had the best time splashing around in it. The area feels private and tucked away, yet you’ll still catch the occasional sound of a neighbor’s rooster - more charming than annoying.
The hike in is definitely on the steep side and longer than most Hipcamp sites I’ve stayed at, so be prepared to carry your gear in. Vehicles can’t make it down, so it’s best suited for campers who are comfortable with a bit of a trek. The composting toilet is up the hill from the site, which isn’t very convenient. I’d recommend bringing a portable toilet.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded place to unplug, this is a beautiful spot that feels like your own little hideaway in nature. Just be ready for the hike in and out.
