We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice. The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing! It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate. Would stay here again!

We had a great time staying at Harbour park. The site was awesome, private and secluded. Tim had full hookups available making it super convenient. It was a great break from our busy trip just sitting and relaxing next to the river drinking coffee watching the rowing crews and boats go by. We would definitely stay again and have already recommended others to stay there.

The good! It was a wonderful camp spot! Completely private (unless someone drives by on the driveway, but we only had one person do that), and so shaded it felt like it dropped 20 degrees! Perfectly lovely camping spot! The bad. The driveway - Once you leave the road, you will turn left onto a steep, long, gravel driveway. If you are pulling a travel trailer (even a small one like we were), you won't have a good way to turn around once on this driveway so DO NOT attempt this hill with an RV unless you have a proper braking system installed for your RV. Also, do not attempt this hill with a two-wheel drive if you are pulling an RV, even a small RV. We got stuck going back up the driveway when leaving because we only had a two-wheel drive (it even has a V8 bus-size engine), and had to have our small travel trailer pulled out. The bridge - At the bottom of the driveway is a concrete bridge. The entrance and exit to the bridge has a decently steep embankment. I thought we would be fine because our small RV has off-road tires, allowing the RV to sit up high off the ground, but upon leaving, we scrapped the bottom, slightly damaging the bottom of our RV. In order to continue forward, we had to place large rocks from the creek under the RV tires a few times to get it to the level of the bridge without damaging it further. I would go and stay there again, but this time, I would just bring my car with a tent. It's a lovely tent camping spot!

I camped here with my husband and two young daughters. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They were quick to give us a tour of the area and the specifics of the amenities offered. They periodically checked in with us during our stay to see how it was going or if we needed anything. Great people. There were canoes and two fishing poles, with lures, to use in both of their fish-filled ponds. They graciously offered us use of their fridge/freezer and some refreshments and popsicles inside. The salt water pool was everything you could want. A large 3 ft area for standing along with a deeper end for the slide and spring board. They offered several pool toys and life jackets. We were in the pool nonstop. The bathroom was clean and stocked with travel size soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and make up wipes. The pavilion kitchen was large with a microwave, toaster oven, and table top propane BBQ grill. The RV parking spot was well maintained gravel with a 50 amp hookup. Water connection if needed. We made such wonderful memories here. Waking up to the beautiful scenery and grazing horses was an absolute dream. The girls had an amazing time swimming, fishing, looking at the horses and running around the well maintained property. We will be back!

This place checked all the boxed for us. I brought my 7 yo here and he was able to play in the creek and catch crawdads while I set up camp. Then, I helped him catch some crawdads, and we eventually took a dip in the bigger creek, which was refreshing on a very hot day. The site was also shady and private--you can see a house up on a hill if you walk onto the bridge, but it isn't close enough to see people clearly. The host was very responsive. Remember to turn your phone off of roaming (or heck, just turn it off), as it will drain the battery when you are in camp. I got service once I was back up on the road. I would come back here again, for sure.

It'll usually be vegan chili con carne and skillet cornbread, Korean chajangmen, or some tasty variety of Asian seasoned vegetable soup with homemade bread. I am 90% ovo-lacto vegetarian except in cases of hunting guests offering their own catfish, bass, venison, boar or turkey, in which case I fire up the bbq and get busy, because hunters are essential for environmental preservation. The fire ring is available for traditional cast iron cooking. Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome if they're trained, you clean up after them, keep them leashed around guests and kenneled at night. I have 2 small dogs and I can kennel them on request.

Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them. We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs. There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area.&nbsp; Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres&nbsp;and the Blue Grass Parkway.&nbsp; I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it&nbsp; ;)&nbsp; The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :) You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch. You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like. You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive.&nbsp; The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug. RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water. I have an outdoor shower and a camping toilet. I am ... - one hour from Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown, and Frankfort.- 1 mile from a mini mart with Gas, Ice, Pizza, Chicken Wings, Sandwiches, ect.- 6 miles from Dollar General and A pizza Restaurant - 15 ish miles from Wal-mart and other chain stores and restaurants I'm a great travel guide so feel free to tell me what your in town for or things you like to do. I will happily make you up a list of things to do and see and places to eat. Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here. Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking. As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants. Anything your heart desires. Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

This ecological art project is currently recruiting visitors to camp in beautiful fields, on woodland rim sites, or at delicate campsites located along a system of woodland trails. As of 2025, camping here provides a glimpse into the fourth year of succession. This current phase is characterized by spacious views of a gently rolling young prairie contrasted with the rocky and steep slopes of the mature forest. Most likely a good fit for self-sufficient types that like campsites with generous spacing, but still want to get out to the park quickly (~7 miles to the Visitors Center) or travel into Cave City (3 mi) for coffee/ice-cream/pizza/barbecue/bar/food/etc. Expand from the campsite into a sketch-work of trails, as if camping near the headquarters of a satellite nature reserve. All sites except Spicebush have a filtered water output. Spicebush campers will have water access next to parking. Camping funds allow us to plant trees (~525 seedlings as of March 2025), establish prairie grasses and flowers, restore wetlands, create trails, and remove invasive species. If you have only 2 days, a nice way to experience Mammoth Cave NP is to break the trip into 3 layers, covering the underworld (cave tours), upper world (hiking), and the water that connects the two (Green River kayaking). Mammoth Cave is unique in the way that a study of the underworld will repeatedly draw the mind into a creative space of imagining what is beneath the surface, how these worlds are connected, while navigating park land and water. Note that we offer kayak trips that can be tailored to your schedule and travel constraints. Thanks to our visitors for supporting this type of project! Bundles of dried and split firewood are available onsite, usually a mix of oak with a suggested donation of $6/bundle, delivered to the campsite. Kayaks are hosted on a suggested donation basis ($45) providing a flexible option for visitors to float the Green River through the national park. Pending availability, we offer tent setups as well to folks who want to camp but aren't traveling with gear (REI 4 person Half Dome). Tent setup comes with two sleeping pads (you will need pillows, blankets, etc.).

The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV. In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.
