This property is a 150 year old working farm, which has seen six generations. We are happy to share a piece of land with you. Whether you are a first time or experienced camper wanting to sleep outdoors. We have the perfect spot for you to rest, relax, and recharge while camping under the stars surrounded by trees in a four acre wooded area located on a quiet country road within a vast working farm in the heart of Jo Daviess, County. Listen to the sounds of nature white spotting a variety of wildlife. Watch the sunrises, sunsets, comets, meteor showers, sometimes the northern lights, and the full moon rising over the hills. Watch the leaves turn color in autumn. We offer three types of sites: basic Glamping, preset tent, and rustic. Check out the descriptions of the sites to see which site is for you. Limited sites - first come basis. We try to make each site as secluded as possible.. There are firewood stations throughout the sites with attached fire extinguisher. We are creating a gravel trek around the sites with two entrances and gravel parking planned be completed by 2028. We are working on flushable outhouses and possible showers. Children’s play area by 2027. There isn’t any swimming or fishing available on the farm property. There is a private lake three miles from the sites - see details under extras. We are located ten miles from the Wisconsin border and villages with their unique shops and museums. 20 minutes from Galena, 45 minutes from the Mississippi River and Dubuque. Iowa. Three hours from Chicago. DNR - department of natural resources have properties a mile north of the farm with nice trails to walk near the Apple river, which is stocked twice a year for fishing tournaments. As well as the Boy Scout campgrounds located nearby. Locals have caught crayfish and swam in the Apple river, we are unfamiliar with current spots. People have tubed and canoed down the Apple river. There are numerous state parks within driving distance for hiking, sight seeing, eagle watching etc. Immerse yourself in the vast history of the area. Again we encourage you to come rest relax and recharge in this peaceful spot.

Once in a while if you are really patient and quite you can see wild animals like deer, turkey, coyotes, and maybe a fox or two. One of the few signs of people will be an occasional car passing on the gravel road. 2 nights at New Hope Farm

Finding a place to unwind from urban jungle is hard to find, especially during the dead of winter, but Mary's cabin is a golden nugget just accross the Mississippi. I had a wonderful time at her Wifi free cabin, as it allowed me to read books, relax, and disconnect from my regular hustle. Mary's cabin is cozy and comfortable. With the firestove, it warmed my body and warmed my soul. I am glad to have found her cabin. I will be returning to Mary's cabin either in a warmer time or back again for another wintry retreat. Also being greeting by their dog, Cleo, is a wonderful delight in the morning. Thank you again Mary for your hospitality. I hope to talk to you again.

I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. The town was lovely; the room was sweet; the property was fascinating; and Jessica could not have been kinder. I’d love to stay there again if I get the chance. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to BoscoBelle

Great location, super friendly host, and firewood included in the price. We had a great time. It's close enough to town to be convenient, but rural enough to enjoy nature. The surrounding hills and trees are beautiful. The only challenge was finding a flat spot for tents. A couple areas aren't too bad, but most of the clearing is on a bit of a slope.

This place is everything. My friend and I booked with Jessica last minute for a night after getting rained out of our original site, and our only problem is we wish we could have stayed longer. Cozy campsite, Jessica is an INCREDIBLE, generous host (with great soaps), and what an amazing, magical piece of land to be on. Also- world’s cleanest porta potty. Had to say it. If you’re thinking about it and you’re not sure - book it. 🤍

Weekend Trip to BoscoBelle

The view at Boscobelle is great and David was very welcoming. It is set in a valley so the sun gets to you in the late morning. I have seen other reviews saying it is not level. It does have an incline but there multiple places where it is very easy to set up a tent and be perfectly comfortable. It is close enough to town that anything you may have forgotten or want access to is a five minute drive away. It was a great way to usher in fall.

The tiny house was so cozy, with everything we needed. We loved being able to dabble in the creek, and watch the sunset over the meadow. It was a great spot to stay while we visited the many awesome local parks.

Eagles Nest overlook allows you to see all the birds soaring high and watch the wildlife walking the woods below. Quiet and peaceful spot to relax!

If there was a doctor to prescribe spiritual isolation, this cabin is the perfect answer! No ayauasca needed! I couldn't get back here fast enough. My spirit needed more, more time experiencing this woodland magickal place. I needed time and a place to gather my thoughts, and let my thoughts roam. The Eagle's Nest was perfect. Weekend Trip to Stunning View at Galena River Ranch

This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to find when camping in Galena. The land feels almost beyond words. You’re perched on a hill with trees at your back and a sweeping view of the Mississippi Valley in front. The sunsets here rank among the best I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been chasing them for 44 years across the world. The experience is completely private. A locked gate secures the property, and once I closed it behind me I felt wonderfully alone. There’s a sturdy iron table with chairs, a flat rock, and a great stone fire ring. I set up a hammock between two trees and had a clear view of the valley right from it. You’re far enough from town to escape Galena’s buzz, but close enough to pop back for firewood or supplies. Darcee was a pleasure to communicate with and very kind about accommodating my changing needs before the trip. I left feeling deeply grateful and rejuvenated. This place is a true gift.

Great private site. My dogs enjoyed playing in the pond. Nice, clean toilet on site. Plenty of room for the dogs to sniff around and explore and close enough to places like Wyalusing for a day trip to hike. Very close to river put in for those wanting to enjoy the Wisconsin River.

I fully enjoyed my stay and look forward to my next visit seeing 4 deer this morning in the cattle pasture was a pleasant surprise plenty of dry firewood the porta potty and shower are well-stocked so no worries if you forget to pack suntan lotion , soap or shampoo plenty of rainwater in the barrels its cold water so i was glad I packed my solar shower bag but chose not to use it on this visit

Scott and Kimberly were super accommodating. I rented a tent site that I couldn’t get to and they suggested a small cabin which worked out better. Absolutely beautiful property by the river. If your in the area make sure to go to this place.
