Such a lovely space in a gorgeous place with great hosts! Betty and Ed were super welcoming, friendly, and accommodating to our needs as guests. Their land is stunning and it was so nice to step right outside the cabin to go on nature walks. The nearby towns are fun to explore too. The photos of their cabin don’t do it justice, it’s very cute and thoughtfully designed! Would happily stay here again.

This was a trip for my spouse and I to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the absolute best experience to have one-on-one time away from kiddos and to be in nature. Betty was a wonderful communicator, very thorough in her instructions and directions, and gave us the lay of the land upon arrival. We were kicking ourselves that we didn’t reserve more than two nights. From hiking to fishing to cooking outside, firepit, cards and movies inside, it was a lovely experience. The cabin itself was perfect. Brand new and very functional. We truly had everything we needed and more. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Weekend Trip to Hideaway Camper by the Cave 2.0

My boyfriend and I loved this spot. A quiet camper with a waterfall and horses close. Very relaxing if that’s what you’re looking for. John is extremely accommodating and quick to respond to needs. Definitely coming back!

2 nights at Lanesboro Acres

We camp a lot, and this is a very unique place. Complete privacy, zero light pollution, gorgeous topography, and wildflowers everywhere, accessible with perfectly mowed trails throughout. We used the dump station at The Barn Resort just a mile or so away. Or you could dry camp here since there is a porta potty and hose for basic washing. Star gazing is incredible along with abundant wildlife sightings! Highly recommend. Neil is very friendly and attentive.

2 nights at Lanesboro Acres

We highly recommend this site!! This site is for the camper that loves wide open spaces, gorgeous views, with the space for your dogs to be off leash. After a night watching fireflies and listening to the frogs, we woke to a gorgeous sunrise coming up over the valley. We hiked around the property’s 24 acres on well maintained grass trails through wildflower meadows. It was a warm fall day so we went down to the river to set our chairs and toes in the water for a few hours. We spent time in the nearby towns of Lanesboro and Harmony for Amish shops, antiques, food and drinks, and grabbed fresh apples and pastries at an apple orchard. We enjoyed our stay at Lanesboro Acres and plan to visit again soon!

3 nights at Whispering Winds Retreat

From the moment my husband and I arrived with our two pups at Whispering Winds Retreat, we knew we’d found something truly special. Tucked into this lush corner of nature, the land feels alive—towering trees, gentle textures of grass and the rustle of leaves instantly set a peaceful tone. Beverly has created such thoughtful spaces, like the outdoor meditation area, that invite you to pause and breathe. We stayed in the Fantasy Woodland Haven, which was the perfect balance of rustic and comfortable. It felt off-grid enough to be an escape, yet had all the amenities to make our stay relaxing and restorative. Every detail—from the cozy fairy décor to the privacy of the space—was intentional. One of the best parts was how much our dogs enjoyed it, too! Whispering Winds is incredibly dog-friendly, with a private dog park, wooded trails, and little touches that made our pups feel just as welcome as we did. Her warmth, authenticity, and passion for creating a place of renewal shine everywhere you look. She made us feel so welcome, and we left not only refreshed but inspired. Plan to unplug and let nature set your pace. Bring good shoes, watercolors, maybe a fishing pole—but also be ready to leave expectations behind. Whispering Winds is a rare treasure, and we can’t wait to come back!

The site was nice but better for an RV. It's small and there isn't much level space for a tent. However, it's right on the river and the view is amazing! The campground is on a county highway but it was surprisingly quiet in the evening and morning. It's a nice spot for an overnight stay. I would stay again but choose one of the sites better suited for a tent.

This was a great spot for a relaxing getaway. The sites were spacious and the grounds well maintained. We explored one of the trails, the host Mark told us there were more but a rainy day kept us from doing so. There were 2 dogs that we saw wandering around (not sure if they live there or not), one of our dogs doesn’t like others that he’s unfamiliar with so that kept us a bit on alert. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we will definitely book here again and choose the same site.

This small campground has ten sites, only one of which was occupied when we arrived. During our stay, two other trailers came just for an overnight. My boys loved playing in the river. We didn’t meet the hosts but would stay again.

I really enjoyed camping the air conditioner was really nice to have there was lots of space for my dog to be off leash i thought the toilet with running water was really a neat way to save on water and be able to wash your hand ls RJWas nice I will definitely come back again
