Large secluded cove near our barn and garden. Watch the sun come up from the orchard. There is 1 electrical plug so not all 3 spaces have electric but you can run a cord. There is also a single water spigot to share as well. There are 2 houses somewhat visible through the trees but no direct line of sight and otherwise private. We have 2 dogs, Whiskey and Barb, Whiskey will usually keep her space but bark, if you ignore her she will be friendly, acts mean but never bites. Barbara is a Jack Russell. She will jump in the truck if you don't tell her not to and will happily run off with snacks. We ask you please don't feed them as it will teach them to come for food and some people don't appreciate the dogs.. This is a farm so you may see and smell animals. Depending on when you book you may even be somewhat near animals. Be aware of this and be ready to keep dogs contained. We typically run pigs in the woods around the cove but we move them regularly and keep the smell to a minimum by doing so.

We were in town for a family gathering and did not fully read the description for all the nearby attractions (which is probably good since we did not have a lot of time to gallivant around.
The B & O Rails-to-Trails trailhead is nearby to this property and I'm excited to come back and enjoy the 16-mile trail!
The property is serene, but if you're a light sleeper, bring something to help block out the bleating and crowing, haha! We are avid mix-group campers and always have Bluetooth sleeping masks (highly recommend). Bring a battery bank and a gallon of water, as the tent sites are primitive, though there is a table and fire pit.
We bought a dozen eggs from our host and made breakfast each of our two mornings -- it was perfect! I highly recommend the turkey egg(s) (only one was available; we'd never had turney eggs before, and one happened to be available), because I swear it had notes of bacon! Amazing!!
The weather was perfect with a light breeze, and even the rain missed up. The willow trees sway in the breeze and provide beautiful shading for both the tent site and the table, too.
The port-a-potty was clean and private, and the wash water was much appreciated.
We brought solar lights that have bug zappers incorporated -- I think it helped keep them out of our tent.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the farm, although we both wished we had more time there, rather than the snippets of our two-day stay, due to our family obligations in the city.

Oh boy! The heritage farm was exactly what I needed. I fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of a creek flowing by my campsite and the smell of campfire. There were frogs, spots to hammock, flowers and fruit trees and hiking trails. I made friends with alpacas, adorable piggies and farm kittens!
The site was perfect. The location was not too close to the city but not too far to be driveable, the communication and hospitality were just right.

Weekend Trip to Havendell Farm and Wayside
I am so glad I chose to stay the weekend at Havendell. I live on the east side of the state and had several ballgames to attend in Brownsburg, Plainfield and Southside Indy. This was a very nice location to be between games. It was a pleasant change of scenery. Dave always responded quickly. He was very courteous to ask if some planned farm work would impact my stay, prior to accepting the fee. I appreciated that thoughtfulness and consideration.
I plan to come back sometime, just because, no agenda and just chill!

We spent 2 weeks here this time, and it was just what the doctor ordered. Privacy, quiet, nature, and pure peace. Nothing but the sounds of the woods by day and star-lit nights by evening. This is a beautiful private historic farm and garden space with a kind and knowledgeable host. The grounds, barns and animals made a magical visit. We were welcomed by beautiful countryside views, adorable alpacas, and stunning sunsets. The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.
Our family had plenty to do. The kids loved the giant slide, farm games, and meeting the friendly animals, especially the alpacas, cats, and pigs. We also enjoyed the creek, bridge, and walking trail, which were perfect for a peaceful stroll. We loved spending our evenings by the campfire under the trees and waking up to the sounds and sights of the farm, birds, wild turkeys, and deer in the distance. Every corner of the property felt peaceful, scenic, and thoughtfully cared for.
The campsites were maintained and comfortable, making it easy to enjoy campfires, outdoor meals, and family time. The views throughout the day were stunning. 🌅 We had a well maintained bench table and fire pit available for use.
Heritage Farm is a great mix of camping, farm life, family fun, and natural beauty. If you're looking for a place where your family can slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories, Heritage Farm is the perfect destination. We can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back! Plus they have lots of places to stay, rv spots, tent camping, cabins to rent. Beautiful place to stay. Some things of nature just to be aware of - not a complaint at all is there’s a lot of ants and it’s windy. The trails to walk were absolutely beautiful. I didn’t get to experience the actual trails of the property, but just the trails around where the campsites are are absolutely stunning and have gorgeous views.

Weekend Trip to Acacia Farms
Great glamping set up on peaceful farmette. Close to host's home, but far enough away to have privacy. Comfortable table & chairs and campfire ring with firewood right outside door. Enjoyed dining outside with view of the pasture. The outdoor shower delivered hot water on a cool morning. Simple mini kitchen set up was handy. Comfortable bed. Best part were the friendly goats and being able to glamp with our dog! She never saw chickens before and boy did she love running circles around the coop! (We put her on a tie-out later so that they could relax too.)
