2 nights at Sheepy Acres

This place was perfect for our little mini vacation just for our dogs. We have 3 pretty big German Shepherds that love water and the pond was great!!! Cabin was also beautiful!!! Very peaceful!!!

My wife and I stopped to rest in between our road trip out west. Titus is very welcoming and helpful about things to do around town and the property is very quiet and beautiful.

Very well kept and has a toilet and fire pit. Very quiet area unless there are trains working.

2 nights at Graber Oasis

To start the directions were easy and Shari and David were there to great us. They have a couple hundred acres and the camp site is in the back 40... which they led the way to our beautiful spot by the river. There were plenty of parking options for our trailer to which we backed in under the trees. There is fresh water, picnic table, fire pit and garbage can. There are kayaks available for use in the river...WOW! Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. It is completely hidden from any civilization. Great place to camp!

This is our second stay at the cabin. Love the new RV style shower and toilet on the property. Swimming hole just outside the cabin. Convenient parking right next to the cabin. Love the picnic table, fire pit with grate and included firewood. Lots of trees for hammocks. Great ventilation with windows, electricity allows for charging, lights. There is a mini fridge and fan. Bed is very comfortable. Love love this place. Sweet kitty and her mama came to visit. The host is just the absolute best. Super responsive to help with anything. Actually remembered us from last year and where we had camped before. Love the surrounding Amish towns. Such a great get away!

Titus greeted us and made us feel at home. The pasture and fields are are picturesque! My daughter loved swimming in the pond and catching fireflies!

First of all, Titus is a great host. He showed us around so we knew where everything was. He was always available if we needed something and he also told us we could message him if we needed anything. We really liked the shepherds hut. It has a loft to sleep in. Under the loft, there's a bench that turns into twin bed. A small table, shelf , and stool. It's a great place to talk, play games, watch nature. The sheep are great. They watch over you all night . When my daughter and I walked by, they were standing in huddle watching us.

Shari and David were incredible hosts. If you want a no frills, beautiful, private, and unique stay, stay here. We will absolutely seek to stay here again if we are in the area. We had travel troubles and didn’t arrive until midnight and they stayed awake to meet us and guide us to our spot. We were grateful for their hospitality, flexibility, and understanding. An absolutely awesome stay!

Weekend Trip to Sheepy Acres

Titus’s property was AWESOME. My son and I just spent a night there, but we feel we go the most of everything Fisherman’s Wharf had to offer! Swam and used the water slide into the pond, did a little fishing, saw the sheep and farm kitties (my son’s favorite) and cooked out on the campfire. Would definitely recommend and would love to make another trip there in the future!

We had an amazing time camping here! It was so fun to sleep next to the river, and there was a lot of space for our tent, table, and hammock! We walked to a nearby park as well. Great location for exploring and kayaking.

The campsite is primitive but thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pond was a highlight—clean, refreshing, and a hit with the whole family! The site is neat, well-organized, and set in a beautiful Amish community, adding a unique charm to our experience. It’s a truly family-friendly retreat where we made unforgettable memories. I had an awesome time camping here! The trails were well maintained, there was a bench set up near the river that was perfect for watching the sunrise. I camped at site 3, which had the perfect amount of shade. When I am in the area again I definitely plan on returning!

Have already recommended Sheepy Acres to my family!! Peaceful. Beautiful. Tyson is a wonderful host. The pond and shower are a wonderful asset. We will definitely be returning. Campsites are amazing with firewood provided. The site were all secluded from other sites. Our big pup was allowed off leash and had a great time. Kittens were adorable and really tolerated our big pup. The birds and owls at the crack of dawn was a really beautiful thing to hear. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Songdog Meadows

I, my wife, and two dogs needed a quick place to roll into, get a good sleep, and roll out of on our second stop from WY to VA. Songdog was perfect! Beth answered my last minute message quickly and was very welcoming. We were pulling a 19’ off road trailer with our Land Cruiser and simply pulled straight into the gate and positioned the trailer so that it opened onto the nicely mowed path to one of the ponds. I meandered around that evening and the property is gorgeous; fantastic for tent camping. Though I’d REALLY suggest not in June…unless you own stock in Off! or permethrin! The mosquitoes were out in force, but we were able to escape into the trailer and enjoy a stunning sunset and be lulled to sleep by bullfrogs. The firefly show in the morning was like nothing I’ve ever seen. We’d, gladly, spend more time here if future travel permits! And don’t let the distance to the road fool you. I don’t recall a single vehicle ever driving by!

Welcome to Farm & Camp. We offer lots of level gravel for parking, fire pits, swings, and a country setting. Depending on the season and time of year, we will have goats, kittens, puppies, dogs all around the farm. We always have projects going on which could involve gardening, building, welding, woodworking, etc. We have a small basketball court, several small buildings, a large pin frame barn on site. There is a long grass lane back to a small woods if you need to take a walk and get away from it all. If you come in the spring or the fall you might be able to catch a ride in our nephews tractor, semi or combine. (Maybe even drive it!) Once farmed by grandpa Jacob Meyer, this farm has been passed down for 3 generations. At different times in life this farm has raised cows, sheep, pigs, goats, puppies, kittens, chickens, raccoons and various other animals. Take a tour of an old pin frame barn with 2 levels of lofts. Take a ride on an old WC tractor or stroll down the grass lane to get away from it all.

There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There is a porta potty near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. Songdog Meadows is our little piece of joy, from morning swims in the pond, long walks with our retrievers and sunsets to take your breath away, it is truly and deeply a treasure we cherish. The property host a variety of apple trees, open grass land, and a large cluster of trees surrounding a 3/4 acre pond, while being surrounded by wood lots on three sides and open fields to the west. It is truly a peaceful haven in a rural country area. Learn more about this land:Hang your hammock or pitch a tent just outside our 3/4 acre pond. There are two basins with a channel and a peaceful tree filled grass area between. The pond is in the corner of the 10 acre lot where we live at the end of a dirt road with only a small amount of traffic. The camp site is walk in on mowed pathways, with the driveway and parking area less than 200 yards away. There is a security light so you will never be in complete darkness. A stone fire pit and picnic table sit just off shore of the swimming area of the pond. There are several wide mowed pathways surrounded by prairie grasses, shaded by large trees. The area can easily handle several tents, hammocks and small RVs. The area is rural farm land with a handful of houses on the short dirt road. But this property is surrounded by wood lots and open fields. Two neighbors houses are visible but separated by trees. Our house is visible from the pond and camping area.
