Our ranch is home to sheep, cattle, goats, chickens, cats and dogs. We're animal lovers and we hope you are too! We have shared restrooms for our guests. We bought the farmette with much work outside and home interior remodel to complete. We slowly turned the property into our family oasis. We neighbor a pasture with cows. There are free range chickens running around during the day. Geese greet us every evening and morning at the pond...as do the many bullfrogs. Occasionally you'll hear the coyotes, but they keep their distance. The stars shine peacefully and the sunsets are picturesque (most afternoons). The pond is a great place to swim and fish. The hillside is a nice walk for exercise or take the easier route and sit under the great oak tree in the other pasture. Campsites are off the road, behind our main home. You won't find a sign...we keep it simple. We allow pets at the sites for a $5 per pet/per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add the Pet Fee which is listed on the Extra during the booking process. We have firewood available for sale, $5.55/bundle. DNR - department of natural resources have properties a mile north of the farm with nice trails to walk near the Apple river, which is stocked twice a year for fishing tournaments. As well as the Boy Scout campgrounds located nearby. Locals have caught crayfish and swam in the Apple river, we are unfamiliar with current spots. People have tubed and canoed down the Apple river. There are numerous state parks within driving distance for hiking, sight seeing, eagle watching etc. Immerse yourself in the vast history of the area. Again we encourage you to come rest relax and recharge in this peaceful spot.

It's a smaller campground. There's a town 5 min away so if you need stuff, it's easy to get to. Liked the pond. Our spot was difficult to back into. We liked stating there. There isn't much shade so plan accordingly.

I loved tent camping at goatland. My daughter and I stayed at the family site. The hosts are literally the best, so sweet, generous with their land and showed us around. We loved hanging out with the sheep and goats as well as the peacocks. We are animal lovers so it was perfect. The kitchen area with fridge/freezer, microwave and washing sink made everything easier. The site was pretty close to the full bathroom as well. None of the sites are technically “park at your site”. The family site has the closest parking of the 3 and there is a sturdy cart to bring your stuff to and from your car. This is a working farm so expect animal noises and animal poop on the ground. This is right up our alley as we love the farm atmosphere. We also loved that the farm is only an hour away from Galena and surrounding sites so we made that a day trip. Can’t wait to be back!

A little slice of heaven! We had a wonderful experience camping at the Pink River. The wild flowers and river create a picturesque scene. The site felt very private. Quick walk to indoor bathroom and shower was a plus. A bonus was close proximity to town. We walked in for coffee and delicious breakfast sandwich one morning. Britt was a fantastic host! Very responsive and thoughtful. We are already planning our next trip!

Love everything on site! The kids had an absolute blast at the beach and in the water and on the playground. Quiet and perfect for our family trip. We rented 3 spots due to 3 families coming but the spots are roomy and may have only needed 2. Firewood and eggs we ordered from here were waiting for us when we got there too. Would totally recommend and possibly go again. State park is a quick drive for.more places to explore :) Be careful to note - there is only a 50a power hookup - bring your own adapter if your camper is a 30a The hot water is rough in the shower. It was going from ice to burn back to ice. In the middle of that you would get about 5-10 seconds of warm but the cold was cold and the hot was a tad dangerous, especially for the kids. Flies!! Bring some sort of fly trap or tape for your camper. It is a farm after all and I'm used to bugs and skeeters while camping but dang I was not prepared for this. Doesn't change my opinion of how awesome it was, just letting yall know to be prepared.

We really enjoyed staying at Joan’s and jean’s! The farmhouse has everything you need games, basketball, a full stocked kitchen! We enjoyed being in a rural area and looking at the stars. Joan and Jean were super nice and helpful with everything. We enjoyed seeing the cows so close! And teddy the dog who hanged out with us and was super friendly and adorable 🥰

Went tent camping for two nights for the first time since when I was a very young child, I hardly remember it, but this time was a wonderful experience! I'm so glad they allow dogs, as I could bring my two babies. They have a nice little pond where you can fish (I didn't catch anything, sadly, hahah) and you can also swim there! They had a nice little fountain on, too, on the hotter day, which was nice. They have a fire pit, a little park, and cows that seem to visit every morning on the other side of the fence! Such cuties! Anyways, great first time campsite! Hosts were so nice, too!

We loved our campsite. Ann was a great host. The farm eggs were awesome. There was no shortage of things to do. There were a few hiking trails close by, we spent an afternoon in Galena but most of our time was spent swimming, fishing and catching frogs. This was a great trip and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at this peaceful countryside ranch! The setting was absolutely gorgeous, with rolling fields and farm animals adding to the charm. The fully renovated ranch was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, blending modern amenities with a quaint, rustic feel. We came to stargaze for the Perseid meteor shower, and the clear, dark skies made for an unforgettable night under the stars. It was the perfect spot to relax, unplug, and enjoy the quiet.
