Situated on 20 acres with abundant trees and a year round creek dappled with wildflowers. Boasting shaded camp sites, abundant bird songs and bird watching opportunities including blue heron, hawks, great horned owl, quail, ducks, turkeys, pheasants, and creek full of frogs for the kids to catch and friendly horses to watch. Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, frogs croak (in spring/early summer) and the gentle ambling of the occasional short train that crosses the track on the nearby spur. Willow Creek Retreat is a great place for a camp reunion, families wanting to get their kids into nature, fall bird hunting or a romantic country get away. The property we named GAEA (the old Greek spelling of Mother Earth) was first seen in a vision. Historically, Deep Creek Canyon was a winter encampment for the Spokane Indians, whose ancestral lands surround us. We feel the healing spirit of the land, in partnership and stewardship. We gather community for Solstice & Equinox celebrations, bringing people together to honor the changing seasons. Our original house was one of the first in the canyon, in the early 1940's. There’s a map that leads you to hidden features, like the gypsy fortune-telling tea house, a fairy mound at the base of a huge fir tree, a yoga platform, and a Buddha bench for contemplating or conversation.

Spokane state park is only 30 minutes away where you can enjoy winter sports, hiking, biking, climbing, and exploring. We are 6th generation to occupy this land which was homesteaded in 1891 by our ancestors. We have a long, rich history with this soil and would love to share the vista with you! Exquisite views of Mt. Spokane and coveted Green Bluff scenery. Superb sunrise/sunset observing and when conditions are right, the Northern Lights. Accommodations include a comfy king bed, wifi, bedding, outdoor shower, porta-potty, hand wash station, coffee and hot tea station, solar powered battery pack for charging devices, games, yoga mat, etc. Partake of all the local farms, wineries, breweries, and farm activities around you!
