Currently, the property has 3 full RV hook-up with water, 30-50 amp power and septic (Site #1 - 30 amp, Site #2 - 50 & 30 amp, Site #3 - 50 & 30 amp). There is also 1 campsite for either a vehicle or tent, with access to complete bathhouse and shower facilities. Cactus River Ranch is located 12 minutes outside of Salmon, Idaho along the Salmon River. The sites have river front views with your own private river access. Hiking and mountain biking options are available right out the back door up Henry's Creek trail. Amazing fly fishing or bird watching location! Williams Lake is located 6 miles up the road and offers a variety of recreation activities including fishing, swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing, or sight seeing.

We also have overnight stalls available for horses.
Please make sure RV tanks are empty in order to hook up to septic. No RV dump station on site.
With the river location, we get very windy conditions along the river corridor. Awnings can easily become damaged during these conditions. Please take notice and consider putting awnings away so that they don't get damaged. Along the same lines, please don't have campfires if the winds are high.
Make sure your dogs are on a leash. We have mules on the property that DO NOT like dogs. This is for the safety of your dog.
No fireworks on the premises.
We do have a couple small trash cans that get dumped on Thursdays...that being said....we are NOT a dump. If trash cans are full or you have large items, please haul your trash to Lemhi County Landfill. They are open Monday-Friday: 7am-5:15pm and have dumpsters open on the weekend.

We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have 5 different camping vacations options. 1 cabin to rent. 1 camp trailer on a nice waterfront lot as well as 3 camp sports 1 with water and power hook ups (site. 2 water wheel) and 2 dry camp spots. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have an easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good.
We just added a 24ft pontoon boat for rent.
This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

Sites have full hook-ups including water, sewer, and power with both 50-amp + 30-amp options.

This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek.
This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)!
Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi.
There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever!
We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire.

It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake.
I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid!
If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Wonderful camping spot and fantastic hosts. The property was gorgeous and easy to get into with our camp trailer. Electric and water hook ups were easy and made the trip very comfortable. Having a dump location on site was extremely convenient. Ron, the camp host met us when we arrived and helped us get settled and then gave us our privacy. They provided camp fire wood, a very nice fire ring, shuffle board/curling game board, picnic table, and circle swing hammock of sorts. Site was very easily accessible, private, but also close to town. Loved the farm setting - felt like home! Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises over the mountains.

The spot here is soooo peaceful and the hosts couldn't have been kinder. The ground works very well for people who have mobility issues. There are not potholes or anything to trip over and a wheelchair can be pushed very easily. We will be back here yearly and so appreciate their support for people with disabilities in our community. We loved our stay at Dry Camp 5! It was definitely the best site. Incredibly views, very private, lots of flat land, and (while this may vary depending on when you go??) VERY few bugs! The chimney was a fun touch. The grass was trimmed so it was easy to pick a spot to set up. The one downside was that it was pretty far to the bathrooms - my 10 year old was the only one who bothered walking but said her calves burned on the way back up. Haha! So we drove to the bathrooms which wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. OH! We didn’t know “bring your own toiletries” included toilet paper so we needed a late night run to the gas station, whoops. The bathroom was very primitive but it’s camping and honestly it was way better than many vault toilets I’ve been to so that was a win in my book. The bathroom door didn’t lock very well but there was NOBODY on the mountain but us, and who doesn’t mind a little fresh air while you pee?? 😄
It was fun to hear coyotes at night. The route was a little nerve wracking the first time you go up but it’s easy peasy after that. The host was friendly and gave us tips for things to do locally. And truly, the whole area is beautiful and so peaceful! My dogs were in HEAVEN and so were we!

Easily the best (remote) campsite we’ve ever stayed at. If you don’t need amenities and want to have a few acres to yourself with a view, this is the spot for sure.
