Cactus River Ranch is located 12 minutes outside of Salmon, Idaho along the Salmon River. The sites have river front views with your own private river access. Hiking and mountain biking options are available right out the back door up Henry's Creek trail. Amazing fly fishing or bird watching location! Williams Lake is located 6 miles up the road and offers a variety of recreation activities including fishing, swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing, or sight seeing.

We also have overnight stalls available for horses.
Please make sure RV tanks are empty in order to hook up to septic. No RV dump station on site.
If you plan on filling up a hot-tub on site, please message or call phone number on our website to verify approval. Additional fee of $100/night will be added for water and electricity.
With the river location, we get very windy conditions along the river corridor. Awnings can easily become damaged during these conditions. Please take notice and consider putting awnings away so that they don't get damaged. Along the same lines, please don't have campfires if the winds are high.
Make sure your dogs are on a leash. We have mules on the property that DO NOT like dogs. This is for the safety of your dog.
No fireworks on the premises.
We do have a couple small trash cans that get dumped on Thursdays...that being said....we are NOT a dump. If trash cans are full or you have large items, please haul your trash to Lemhi County Landfill. They are open Monday-Friday: 7am-5:15pm and have dumpsters open on the weekend.

We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have 5 different camping vacations options. 1 cabin to rent. 1 camp trailer on a nice waterfront lot as well as 3 camp sports 1 with water and power hook ups (site. 2 water wheel) and 2 dry camp spots. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have an easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good.
We just added a 24ft pontoon boat for rent.
This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek.
This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)!
Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi.
There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever!
We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire.

It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake.
I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid!
If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Once again, it was a beautiful, peaceful stay. I love the addition of the swing on the tree. My granddaughter really enjoyed playing on that. We got a chance to see the miniature horses and even pet one of them. My granddaughter was so excited to see the chickens and the big horses too. She also loved the dogs and told him hi every time she walked by. It’s a little different having two additional campsites. It is not as private. Overall, however, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back the next time I’m in the area.

I stayed two nights at the mini acres farm. The state was pleasant, and the small amenities were truly an experience and great addition. The restroom with handwashing station and mirror and scent spray paired with solar lights for safe walking. The grass was green and the trees were perfect. The host truly cares about your stay and keeps a clean establishment. Will be back for sure and I can’t wait for the newly planted trees to grow big! Perfect weekend out with the family!

One of the most beautiful campsites we have ever been to, if not the most beautiful. Definitely recommend getting some good tent pegs if you’re going to camp on top of the hill at site five. Also recommend bringing something to hammer the pegs in as the ground is quite firm.

Brooke’s farm is beautiful, and our site was private, spacious and easy to find. Communication was excellent throughout the process. This was a great jumping-off spot for our exploration of the Sawtooth NRA.

A voyeuristic wanna-be farmer couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to drop into a real working farm and just observe the daily rhythm of people and their four legged charges. Couple that with the incredible Welsh Immigrants Heritage Historical Restoration village, a mere stone’s throw away (featuring a restored log cabin once occupied by the ancestors of Donny & Marie Osmond) and you have yourself one of the most authentically historically fascinating HipCamps that I have visited. One of a kind!

A wonderful out in the middle of know where feel camping experience. Julie has set up a peaceful fenced off grove of trees where you have plenty of space under big trees to pitch a tent. The stars are out at night under a dark sky. Some nearby fenced off cows add farming charm. Don't miss this peaceful camping experience! Highly recommend! Happy Travels!

We enjoyed our time at the Cedar campsite. We had two small bumper pull trailers and one tent. This site is most certainly in the trees but it is also right off a (dead end) gravel road. Although rural, there were homes all around with barking dogs in the distance.
There is a level spot right off the road but the area tucked back in the trees has a pretty substantial slope so be sure to bring leveling blocks. (Sloped for tent camping as well).
The host was GREAT! He was available upon our arrival and took us right to our site and offered to assist if we needed anything during our stay.
There is an equestrian camp site right past this campsite with very clean, vaulted toilets so you will have no need to leave your waste in the Cedar campsite for future guests. (Pack it in, pack it out!)
A Trail of the Coeur d’Alene trail head is just a few miles down Hwy 5 headed toward St. Maries (no, you should not bike to it as Hwy 5 is not safe for bikes). You enter via the Hayburn State Park Headquarters entrance, turn left and take the road down 2.5 miles to find two parking lots. ($7.00 day use fee)
This site was a great choice for us. Although next to the road, it was very quiet at night (once the dogs went to bed) and so very dark! Thanks for sharing your property with us Stan!

Beautiful spot with lots of space and kind hosts. We loved swimming in the river and watching the clouds go by! There is 12 miles of gravel (some washboard) at the end of the drive but it’s very manageable. We would love to return!
