Laughing Horse has provided accommodations for travelers with horses for years now! We recently decided to open our small ranch to campers without horses so you too can enjoy the beautiful setting and wake up in the morning surrounded by these amazing creatures! We have level RV pads and a private hideaway apartment for rent on site. We offer water and electricity hook ups for the RV's. The apartment has 2 queen beds, private entry and bathroom and kitchenette. The cost is $120 per night. *** We DO NOT ACCEPT TENT CAMPING*** There are many reasons why not, but all I can say is if you show up with a tent, I will ask you to leave! I seem to have a hard time making the tenters happy with our accommodations! We offer more formal horse interaction with advance notice. If you are interested in a riding lesson or other horse activities, just message us before your visit for price and availability. Our farm has many uses. We board horses for individuals offering pasture turn out and stalls with covers. Our team is busy keeping the horses happy cleaning stalls, feeding, cleaning water troughs and cleaning the grounds of loose hay. We are busy all day and you will see a real horse farm doing what we do everyday! We share the property with my husband's painting company so you may see some normal paint company activities and some painting vans and equipment in the working yard. We also have a couple of trainers on site and they are happy to arrange a lesson or supervised activity for you to interact safely with the horses. Just let us know in advance what you might like to do. Based on availability and weather, we may be able to arrange quite a bit of horse time for you! If you have a way to get around, there some great attractions nearby including a 4 season adventure mountain - Bogus Basin, rivers, desert or mountain hiking, mountain biking in the foothills, birds of prey nature center, water parks featuring river surfing, world class fishing and white water rafting. If you are looking for a day trip, Idaho City has hot springs and some fun history museums. Our little farm has a walking trail nearby and some beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We have a designated area for campfires to complete the camping experience. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! Thanks and Happy Trails! Risa

Nice Pit Stop
The location was great, just far enough from town to have a quiet night, but close enough to downtown for all your needs. Our kids loved seeing the horses and were even offered pony rides—which they loved even more! However, like a few people have mentioned before, the entrance is very vague and needs to be a little more obvious(we missed it the first time and had to go around the whole block in our rv to try again). Also, one of the trainers there is very corse and isn’t the most personable. She got very mad at us for petting some of the horses one of the other ranch-hands(and Risa) told us we were ok to do. I feel like they would probably benefit from getting her on the same page everyone else at the site is on! And finally, there were a LOT of flies. I don’t mind the horse smell, but the amount of flies that came into our car and RV were a lot to deal with. So definitely bring some fly traps with you! Aside from that, our stay was pleasant and it’s a great pit stop along your route!

Safe and quiet even though it's close to town. Level sites. Pens for horses too.

Perfect spot to stay for a few nights in Boise. The owners were super nice and accommodating. It was cool having some horse neighbors.

We had an amazing time at the ranch and booked the horse back riding for our kids and for us. The staff was super friendly and helped us with more recommendations what to do in the area of Boise.
