Located in the historic farming community of Samaria, Idaho, just 8 miles southwest of Malad City, Crazy Cow Farm Adventure offers a unique farm-stay experience for families, couples, road-trippers, and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy country life. Choose from our charming vintage trailers, RV sites, or tent camping areas and experience life on a real working farm that has been in our family since Samaria was first settled in the late 1800s. Depending on the season, you may see calves and lambs being fed, hay being harvested, fields being irrigated, and the daily activities that make farm life special. Looking for fun? Guests can add exciting farm activities to their stay, including our hay chopper wagon ball game, pedal cart track, and farmyard laser tag. These activities are fun for all ages and help create memories that last long after your trip is over. Crazy Cow Adventures is Great! Bathroom and showers clean and private. A wonderful museum of farming equipment and artifacts on a big fun working farm. Fun to wander and check it all out. Set up on grass next to covered picnic table with a s'mores gift packet waiting. A few friends to meet are a pig, a horse, cows, sheep, goats, chickens and an early riser rooster :) Welcoming and attentive hosts. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful, Cozy, Comfy, Quiet & FUN
Lola Vintage Glamping Trailer
The campers are adorable! Shayna has a knack for decorating and for making you feel welcome and "at home". The fridge was equipped with bottled water, oatmeal for breakfast, and the makings for s'mores over the fire. We had a blast riding the pedal cars to the "Blue Goose" penny-candy store. We stayed for 2 nights on our way from Salt Lake City to see Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and visit natural hot springs throughout Idaho. At the end of our trip, we needed to rest and pack up the camping gear for the flight home. On short notice, Shayna welcomed us, again, for 2 more nights. We were so happy to be there. When we drove in late at night we both exclaimed "we're home"! Everything was clean and cozy. The shower and toilets are a short distance from the campers. It was quiet, even when the goats got out, and so beautiful. We want our family and friends to experience Crazy Cow, and we would love to go back and spend a week to just rest and enjoy the scenery.

We loved it at crazy cow farm. It was so relaxing and fun. The family was so friendly and the animals were very friendly too. There was plenty of space to roam and play and have fun. We plan on coming back year after year, likely even doing a family reunion there too

My son and I have camped in many places but this is now his favorite! Our hosts were exceptional, so kind and fun to talk to. I just adored Shayna’s camp and the love and effort she has put into it is so apparent. Best campsite for kids AND adults! There is so much to do. I fell in love with the animals and miss them already! We will definitely return. Already telling friends and family about this gem of a place! If you want animal fun, beautiful sunsets, stargazing, pedal carting, giant sandbox play, games, comfy campers with a/c or heating, and fascinating history all from the best hosts, this is your spot!

We loved camping on Shayna’s land! Hosts were super friendly and took us on a mini tour and introduced us to all the animals. The shower was hot and there was even shampoo, conditioner and towels. I wish we had one more night here. Def recommend!

PERFECT and SERENE
Lola Vintage Glamping Trailer
WOW!! What a phenomenal stay my boys and I had! Shayna reached out to me before our trip to ensure we had the most comfortable trailer for our needs. She personally welcomed us to her charming farm. The place was beyond adorable, with an atmosphere filled with peace and tranquility. We got to interact with so many animals, including chickens, sheep, horses, calves, buffalo, and pigs. The sheep were sheared to perfection and looked like show sheep! Her friendly dogs visited us often, which we loved. And the puppies!!!! My boys were in heaven. Shayna had so many personal touches to her farm, making it fun and inviting for everyone who stays there. We rented her specialty bikes and had a blast riding around the property. I truly felt like Shayna gave us a gift by opening her world to us. We all need a slice of Shayna's life every now and then, just to slow down and enjoy nature. Everything about the place was perfect and serene. Thank you, Shayna, for creating such a beautiful space for others to enjoy!

The Crazy Cow Farm Adventures is an amazing place to stay, one of the few RV camps that is an attraction of its own. For people (like me) coming from an urban environment, the place feels like it comes from a movie. Here, kids can admire (and even pet) dozens of types of animals, ranging from pigs to goats (there was even a baby buffalo)! At 20.30 daily, the animal feeding show starts, and the host, Shayna, will introduce the participants through each of the animals, explaining their name, their story and what they eat. Then participants can offer to feed each animal and pet them. Since the animals have been raised since they were young with a lot of human interaction, they are absolutely docile, and we always felt safe. Finally, the host, Shayna, is extremely welcoming and caring. So it is guaranteed you'll have a great time! Finally, for shopping for fresh fruits, I recommend the nearby Edith's Collective Florist. Very tasty stuff for reasonable prices.

We had a great time. Shayna was very attentive and friendly. There were so many great games and attractions. The space was great for the kids and adults and it was great for our large group. Some of us stayed in campers and some in tents. It was great for all types of camping.

The property has been developed nicely since our last visit! The covered dining/lounging areas are lovely. Shayna's hospitality (and visiting the puppies) are what brought us back and will continue to when we are in the area.

Rooster Vintage Family Glamping
The kids loved seeing all the animals at the farm especially the very friendly dogs and puppies, horse, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, bunnies and chickens. My son was excited to complete the star farmer program and get his badge and sticker. The playground and swings were also a hit. The host Shayna was very friendly and we would stay again if we were in the area. Thanks for a fun stay!

What a nice little place to camp. I needed a quiet place to rest and this certainly was good for that. The place is set up well for families and I'll keep this place in mind for future trips with mine.

We loved everything about our stay at Crazy Cow Farm! Shayna was so kind and accommodating. We went there for our daughter’s 9th Birthday (she has always wanted to live on a farm) and Shayna went above and beyond to make the weekend special for her. We are actually planning to back for our son’s birthday in August. 10/10 recommend!

Shayna and Luke were so considerate and accommodating. We had an absolute blast staying at their farm! My toddlers loved the pedal carts, and helping feed the baby cow at night. Such a fun spot!

I loved the layout and privacy (I had tent site 1). Close to gas stations and the interstate but not close enough to hear the cars. The bathrooms were immaculate. Farm animals, toys, and a playground for kids. The stars were amazing. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

Crazy Cow Farm is a delightful spot in a quiet agricultural setting in Malad ID, about half way from Tremonton UT to Pocatello ID. It is a welcome stop after suffering through the traffic in the Salt Lake City corridor. Shayna and Luke are very welcoming and even provide the fixings for S'mores. The sites offer a campfire ring and water is nearby. The 'outhouse' is modern with a flush toilet and a sink and the showers are well appointed and attached to the outhouse. There are optional remodeled camp trailers for those not bring their own tent or RV. The ground was level and spacious for our van. Adjacent to the property, the owners have also created a Malad Valley Heritage Square; a collection of original log buildings and wagons from the valley which give a good portrayal of the local agricultural history. It was a very pleasant stay and we now have it on our list of places to stop on our way south to the desert in the Spring.

Fun Stay at a Farm!
Jessie Vintage Glamping Trailer
We loved the vintage camping trailer (Jessie)! It was nicely decorated in a western theme. It had its own private yard with a firepit, picnic table and chairs for relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and the heater kept the trailer a cozy temperature. (It was a cool fall evening.) Shayna and Luke were great hosts. We hope to stop here again someday. A nice place for young and old!
