Footehills Farmhouse is a small family owned and operated farm in Northwest, GA, in the little town of
Taylorsville. We are stewards of 18 beautiful acres, and nestled between hills covered in hardwoods and Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery. We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. Enjoy our local winery and brewery as well.
GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season.
We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies.
Please note this is an RV site only no tent camping and no latrine tents allowed. We also have a one dog policy. Thank you for looking at our property.

NOTE: Driveway access is paved and curving on an incline. It is a little steeper near the end as pictured. It’s 12 feet wide and a little wider around the curves for extra room. We have pulled trailers and a 20 foot uhaul up through there with no issue.
NOTE: Our two dogs are free range when they are let out of the main house. This is why we aren’t pet friendly for bookings. They are quiet and harmless, but if you are averse to animals around be aware.

Words can’t express how welcome I felt! They showed me around some of the different camping grounds. Made sure I had enough wood for the night. Very very nice camping area.
The views or a 10/10! The sound of the waterfall put me to sleep. The picture can express the beauty of the camping ground.
I’ll be back soon and this time I’m bring my family so they can enjoy the scene and relax to. I can’t wait!

Dark Hallow is, by far, the best Hip Camp experience my wife and I have had. The camp host was excellent in every way. There’s a reason this place is ranked very highly. Extremely friendly, accommodating, and personable. The camp sites were pristine, had all the views, stars, hikes, and amenities you would desire for primitive camping. Our dogs enjoyed the stay and especially enjoyed the quick hike down to the beautiful waterfalls and pools in the hallow. My wife and I will be returning in the near future to visit Danny and Zed.

For site number 3 (the one my wife and I stayed at) it was an easy back in to get our 45 toy hauler into the site. Sites 1 and 2 may have presented a challenge for our size rig but they are very spacious. All of the sites that is. Entry and exit of the park was easy and straight forward. We loved the close proximity to family in the area especially for our Thanksgiving stay.
There was one limb that was touching the back corner of our roof and with a simple call to William, the issue was resolved quickly with a quick cut from his pole saw.
We definitely plan to return to Deer Valley RV in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at Deer Valley. The sites are well maintained and offer all of the amenities a camper would need. They also have firewood on-site for purchase at a fair price. Doni was an incredibly gracious and kind host who went above and beyond to be helpful! The property was perfect for our single night trip, and there seem to be several different sites available depending on what you’re looking for. The spot we selected had a fire ring, had enough room for several tents, and felt secluded even though it was just a 3 minute walk back to our vehicles. There is some road noise at night you can hear, but otherwise we had a wonderful time.
We had some success fishing as well along the river, which was quite exciting. The paddle board was fun as well. Would love to come back with a larger group.

The host was very nice and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the campsite and had a blast. The hiking trails off of the site were just challenging enough to make it exciting, but not impossible for people with little experience. I’d highly recommend the zoo near the site. We were at the bobcat tent site and could hear the lions and hyenas at night from our campfire. Highly recommend!
