Footehills Farmhouse is a small family owned and operated farm in Northwest, GA, in the little town of Taylorsville. We are stewards of 18 beautiful acres, and nestled between hills covered in hardwoods and Old Taylorsville Church Cemetery. We are very close to Atlanta, GA, Red Top Mountain State Park, The Booth Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the City of Cartersville, GA. GA mountains and apple country are a short 1.5 hour drive from our location. Our farm is a small local market style farm, hosting many TN Fainting Goats (enjoy all the kids in the spring), Sheep and spring lambs, around 40 or so chickens and piggies depending on the season. We also grow figs, herbs garlic and veggies. Feel free to harvest a few fresh herbs and produce for your first dinner!

Twin Oaks Boondocking site - Farm

Farm Animals Galore

Erin and LuAnn were so great and welcoming! They greeted us as we arrived and everything about the site was perfect. It was a little rainy so we didn’t get a chance to do a campfire but the site had a place for a campfire, chairs and a picnic table. In the morning we were able to take a walk around the property and see all the farm animals. LuAnn was the absolute sweetest and it was so great talking with her about farm life! She let us pick fresh figs off of her trees and even gave us some extra! This is a MUST STAY place. They treat you like long time friends. The directions are accurate and and it was very easy to get to the campsite. Thanks Erin and LuAnn for hosting us! We hope to be back again soon

Beautiful Farm camping

Beautiful place to camp. I was sad I was only able to overnight and not able to stay longer. I had that way I will definitely stay longer and partake of more that is offered. I did get fresh eggs which are delicious. I will definitely recommend camping at this location

Fun Farm

Second visit and it was as nice as I remember. Don’t forget to bring an awning in the summer time, the pad can get really hot in the direct sun. Beautiful farm, lovely family, wonderful time. Oh and tubing in Euharlee is a blast.

Perfect!

Absolutely loved this place! Close enough to everything that we didn't have to go far for activities but far enough out that it felt extremely peaceful. They had wonderful recommendations for local restaurants, great communication, and were very accommodating and flexible to our check in/out times. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be staying here!
