Less than a year later, in 2015, we added the neighboring 40 acres — together, the 80 acres of thriving longleaf pine, orchard, and untouched wetlands you get to camp inside of today. With guidance from the Florida Forest Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS, and a sharp-eyed private forester, we built a management plan to bring this land back to its native state. Watch the light shift over quiet wetlands. Fall asleep to real silence — broken only by whip-poor-wills and, occasionally, a tractor. We're tucked into a quiet corner of the Florida Panhandle, close to Torreya, Three Rivers, Seminole, and Florida Caverns State Parks, plus the Lake Talquin State Forest — a perfect basecamp for paddling, caving, and hiking. Please plan on visiting and check out all the great things to do so close. On our farm we grow Christmas Tress. Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Mariana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security our RV site full hook up with 15, 30, and 50 amp connection, great clean water and sewer. We love the outdoors, so naturally, we love to camp. We were looking for a few properties that would allow us to get away and camp in a secluded area where we can enjoy nature. We found this property, and with its proximity to Lake Eufaula and George Bagby State Park, we knew that it was a perfect location. So now we want to make this property available for your enjoyment as well! Learn more about this land: Come and enjoy the great outdoors at Lake Eufaula (Walter F. George Reservoir). With your private RV site being located next to the entrance to George Bagby State Park, you will have easy access to all the activities and amenities that the lake and park have to offer. Whether you enjoy fishing, swimming, biking, kayaking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, a nature walk, or if you just want to relax by a fire at your campsite, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors during your stay. The Park has a really nice boat landing, which is less than 1/2 mile from our lot, so it is very convenient to launch your boat. It also has a marina that is only $10 per day if you want to leave your boat at the lake while you are there, or you can just tie it up at the park if you want to head back to your campsite for a break during the day.  When you get back to the park with your catch you can make good use of the fish cleaning station as well. There are also picnic tables, a playground, a really nice swimming area, large pavilions, a restaurant, tennis courts, and a golf course at the Park as well. If you like wildlife viewing, you can take a walk or a bike ride on the paved bike path which is over 3 miles long. It is rare to walk or ride this path without seeing deer or other wildlife (refer to the pics section for more detail of the walking/bike path).  We also see deer from our campsite, more often than not, when we are there. Even though there are other residents on this drive, our lot backs up to a large wooded parcel of land and the lot next to this site is vacant, so you will have plenty of privacy during your stay.  Our RV is on another site on this property, but we normally won't be there if the site is booked so that our guests will have the whole property to themselves.  However, sometimes we have to come in on Friday evening to complete landscape maintenance on our other properties, if so, we will leave on Saturday afternoon.  This site has the following amenities: 1 acre of land with plenty of shade, a level gravel pad, and a fire pit. It also has a full hookup with electric, water, sewer, and free WIFI. We pay for garbage pickup as well, so there is a large can provided for your convenience (pickup is usually on Monday around 8 am).  This 1-acre site has more privacy than most campgrounds because there are no other campers 20' away and very few people live on this drive. The site has easy access, as it is just a short distance off of the paved entrance road to the park (refer to map in pics section for more detail on location). NOTE: Our site is not on the water, the pics of the lake are from areas within walking distance from our site.  When it comes to tent camping, we don't mind if you add a tent, but you must have an RV with a bathroom because there are no bathroom facilities on-site. Can you picture yourself here for a relaxing time at the Lake during the day, or enjoying a campfire at night? If so, go ahead and book this RV site for a getaway while the dates are available! Helpful Information:   If you need to shop, there is a Dollar General, Rubos Grocery, convenience stores (gas and bait), bulk ice machine with filtered drinking water, etc. in Fort Gaines which is only 3 miles away.   Also, there is an annual park pass available ($25 for seniors) that will allow you to visit any Georgia state park as many times as you would like throughout the year of purchase, which can be purchased at the lodge in Bagby. Other parks and places to visit-  Historic are of Fort Gaines 4 miles, East Bank Park 2.5 miles, Kolomoki Mounds State Park 17 miles, Providence Canyon State Park 37 miles, Yoholo Micco Trail 22 miles. We also have a 2 bd/2bth mobile home on a 1-acre lot across the road that we rent out as a short-term rental.  So if you need more room for family or friends, this may be an option for you. Weekend Trip to The Outside Inn

What a lovely place to unwind! We stayed two nights and pretty much had the run of the place. We opted for full hook ups as we have been on the road for several days. We loved the proximity to the welcoming pole barn which had a gathering spot, FREE washer and dryer (tips encouraged), grill for use, and bath house with a spacious shower. Our dogs loved being off leash and we enjoyed the trails around the property. Be aware, if you have dogs with high prey drives or poor recall-be wary about being off leash as there are free roaming chickens. We appreciated Andrew's hospitality and he even offered us some free fresh eggs which we graciously accepted. The owner William was not on-site, but was very communicative over the app. Only points to mention-if using the washer, you must set it to cold as it does not have hot water. Many of the presets will automatically choose a higher heat and it will seem like its working but then it will glitch and say "balancing." Just manually change to cold and you are all set! Also, the map indicates two water features, a creek and a spring. These paths were not as clear as we thought they might have been. We only found one of the two, and had to pass under a fallen tree to reach it. Hope that helps any other explorers!

This site is very clean & well maintained. Good signage, easy to find, great hookups. Will was very welcoming. We were in a bind because we had generator issues that slowed our trip down & the Hipcamp we had reserved said they would not accept us. Will had no problem with a late check in & had the light on for us upon arrival at 11:30pm! Also great communication with host. Spot was very peaceful & quiet. We were only passing through but definitely a place to come back and just hang out because it's easy to get to & so nice. Will definitely go back! Thanks Will!

We were attending a family reunion in Ft Gaines, this "Private RV Site" was perfect!! This site has full hook ups and is easy locate. Following instructions of the owner and we were able to back into the site with no issues with our 36 foot fifth wheel. Robert is excellant in communicating and answering questions. This is our second time staying here.

Weekend Trip to Crazy 8 Ranch & 4 Steps Horse Rescue

We've reached the stage in our life that we look for experiences beyond just a place to stay over night. What a wonderful place. So many horses to see and pet. Really enjoyed our stay, and hoped it help support their rescue efforts. Our site faced the corals. Early in the morning I was sitting have coffee outside and one of the horses made eye contact, then walked over to the fence to say good morning. Pretty cool.

The owners were very nice and welcoming they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. This is an actual Texas Longhorn cattle ranch the tour was very informative and fun, and you can purchase their frozen beef. Had a steak which was out for this world bought some ground beef. I would stay there again.

Ms.Marcia, or Ms.sweetie as I like to call her was amazing! Sweetest woman ever. Her and her family were very accommodating. The work they are doing here is amazing and beautiful. The ranch was clean and very well taken care of. They were very knowledgeable about their horses. She gave us a tour when we arrived and learned about all the horses and their personalities. I would rate Crazy 8 ranch and 10 out of 10, will stay again. Thank you so much Ms. Sweetie, we look forward to working with you.
