We love the outdoors, so naturally, we love to camp. We were looking for a few properties that would allow us to get away and camp in a secluded area where we can enjoy nature. We found this property, and with its proximity to Lake Eufaula and George Bagby State Park, we knew that it was a perfect location. So now we want to make this property available for your enjoyment as well! Learn more about this land: Come and enjoy the great outdoors at Lake Eufaula (Walter F. George Reservoir). With your private RV site being located next to the entrance to George Bagby State Park, you will have easy access to all the activities and amenities that the lake and park have to offer. Whether you enjoy fishing, swimming, biking, kayaking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, a nature walk, or if you just want to relax by a fire at your campsite, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors during your stay. The Park has a really nice boat landing, which is less than 1/2 mile from our lot, so it is very convenient to launch your boat. It also has a marina that is only $10 per day if you want to leave your boat at the lake while you are there, or you can just tie it up at the park if you want to head back to your campsite for a break during the day.  When you get back to the park with your catch you can make good use of the fish cleaning station as well. There are also picnic tables, a playground, a really nice swimming area, large pavilions, a restaurant, tennis courts, and a golf course at the Park as well. If you like wildlife viewing, you can take a walk or a bike ride on the paved bike path which is over 3 miles long. It is rare to walk or ride this path without seeing deer or other wildlife (refer to the pics section for more detail of the walking/bike path).  We also see deer from our campsite, more often than not, when we are there. Even though there are other residents on this drive, our lot backs up to a large wooded parcel of land and the lot next to this site is vacant, so you will have plenty of privacy during your stay.  Our RV is on another site on this property, but we normally won't be there if the site is booked so that our guests will have the whole property to themselves.  However, sometimes we have to come in on Friday evening to complete landscape maintenance on our other properties, if so, we will leave on Saturday afternoon.  This site has the following amenities: plenty of shade, a level gravel pad, and a fire pit. It also has a full hookup with electric, water, sewer, and free WIFI. We pay for garbage pickup as well, so there is a large can provided for your convenience (pickup is usually on Monday around 8 am).  This 1/2 acre site has more privacy than most campgrounds because there are no other campers 20' away. The site has easy access, as it is just a short distance off of the paved entrance road to the park (refer to map in pics section for more detail on location).  When it comes to tent camping, we don't mind if you add a tent, but you must have an RV with a bathroom because there are no bathroom facilities on-site. Can you picture yourself here for a relaxing time at the Lake during the day, or enjoying a campfire at night? If so, go ahead and book this RV site for a getaway while the dates are available! Helpful Information:   If you need to shop, there is a Dollar General, Rubos Grocery, convenience stores (gas and bait), bulk ice machine with filtered drinking water, etc. in Fort Gaines which is only 3 miles away.   Also, there is an annual park pass available ($25 for seniors) that will allow you to visit any Georgia state park as many times as you would like throughout the year of purchase, which can be purchased at the lodge in Bagby. Other Parks -  East Bank Park 2.5 miles, Kolomoki Mounds State Park 17 miles, Providence Canyon State Park 37 miles, Yoholo Micco Trail 22 miles. We also have a 2 bd/2bth mobile home on a 1-acre lot across the road that we rent out as a short-term rental.  So if you need more room for family or friends, this may be an option for you. If you need any more information or you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Great RV site in Ft Gaines.
This was our first visit to Fort Gaines area around Lake Eufaula/Walter F. George Reservoir. Robert’s RV site is a very quiet spot perfect for unwinding, close to many state parks, quiet Fort Gaines, fishing, boating, hiking, or just chilling. Robert was very responsive and made sure we knew what was available in the area to go do and see. We explored the Georgia and Alabama sides of the reservoir and every park and boat ramp along the way! Such fun!

Everything was alright, for me I just wished there was a toilet/shower area cause I travel in a van, but it was listed that there was no toilet/shower area. But it was quiet and it’s not a campground and that’s a plus in my book. Thanks Robert

So close to the state park!
We had a great time camping on Roberts land. The site was well maintained and felt private. The site is very close to George Bagby state park, which was wonderful. The bike path just across the street was a treat and we saw deer everyday!

Robert was a lovely host and he suggested several sight seeing adventures which we did. We wouldn’t have known about otherwise. He is also very respectful of privacy and would notify us when he was coming to do maintenance at his neighboring site/property.

A walk to the lake.
A nice quiet spot within walking distance to Lake Eufaula. The trail to the lake is paved and well kept. There is a decent amount of wildlife including deer, rabbits and turtles. We even managed to see a bird of prey dive into the lake for a bite to eat. This site is in a quaint little neighborhood where most residents are weekenders. There were a couple of neighborhood dogs out and about but they never came to our site even when our dogs were outside. Robert and his wife stopped by to introduce themselves and to see of we needed anything. They are super sweet folks. This is a great spot to stay for a quiet trip.

Peaceful, quiet and needed.
Peaceful, quiet and quaint. The weather was actually nice for mid-August. Wood was provided for the fireplace of which we had one going every night. There was also a can of corn feed to spread in the field which one day brought 8-deers. We wanted to go hiking at the Providence Canyon State Park which is about 45-min drive. Afterwards, we washed it down with a beer at Omaha Brewery in Lumpkin/Omaha area. Both the canyons and the brewery are a must see.

Great place
This was a great stay - all hook ups were easy and worked well. So close to the state park with wonderful walking paths to the lake. We brought some of our own firewood but having some extra seasoned firewood on site was wonderful. Robert was so helpful with info in the site, walking maps and a check in to make sure we didn’t have any questions - Thank you!

Super private site just outside the state park. We walked to the park via the bike trail. Fished from the docks and the marina. You will feel like you have your own private state park.

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it very much. Clean and level graveled parking area with a nice picnic table and a fire pit. Very close to the lake and other attractions within a short distance. The best thing was that it is a private site so no other campers 20 feet away. I will be staying here again and I highly recommend this spot.

We really enjoyed being so close to the park. The walking trail was nice and we spotted a handful of deer! This was a residential street, so neighbors are near you. While it was a quiet street, I felt like I was in the way of other people. Also, there was a neighbor dog who wanted to get to know our oversized, protective dog. I was so worried that my dog would harm that dog, we ended up taking her home early. Because we live 90ish miles away, it wasn't a huge issue, but still not something we had planned on. The site was well maintained and clean. We appreciated the free wood and the kindness from the host.

This was a peaceful and quiet site backing up to the state park. Wonderful walking/biking path to park and marina. Saw lots of deer. The bluebirds at the site kept us captivated! Robert and Cindy were great hosts: checking on us, but not hovering. If you’re a fisher person, this is a perfect spot for you!

Excellent spot!
We brought our 42’ fifth wheel here for the week and had an absolute blast. This is a plot of land in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Bagby park and a nice bike/walk trail. The wifi is excellent and so is the water pressure. The fire ring and free fire wood was a constant source of entertainment for our 2 boys. Robert was an excellent host, checking on us after storms and providing lots of local information.

Peaceful Retreat
We had a wonderful stay at Roberts property! Although there are houses around the campsite they are mostly weekenders so it is very private and quiet! We enjoy the large fire pit and sat outside many nights to watch the georgeous sunsets! There is a paved walking trail right down the road which we really enjoyed for our daily walks. Lots of cool hiking in the area.
