In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. Parking is allowed on site and set up is at your discretion. Campsite is about approximately 50x50 and includes use of outdoor composting toilet, picnic table, outdoor chairs, trash can with lid, outdoor hand washing area w/ water, and a nice sized fire ring. (Wood is available for your enjoyment and ease, but please only use what you need) Hosts are on site 24/7 for ease of making your stay comfortable and we will ensure all your needs are met in a timely fashion. This is PRIMITIVE camping site and would not be suitable for RV’s. Van camping is allowed and can hold up to three vans or cars. Small walking trails available behind the campsite. This campsite is not on any water. We do have a boat launch 5 minutes away: Lots of local places listed below!

The property is 5 min to Interstate 75 (414 Exit). O'Leno State (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/oleno-state-park) is a 5 min drive. We have a life time park pass so entry to the park is free for us. Please ask us about that. We have power and water only at our Hip-camp. We have 3 RV slips on the property, each with 50 Amp electric and water hookups.
Ichetucknee Springs State Park (https://ichetuckneesprings.com/) 15-20 min drive from our site. We also have access to the private areas on Itchetucknee and Santa Fe River and have kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and other inflatable.
Ginnie Springs (https://ginniespringsoutdoors.com/) and Rum Island (https://www.lakecityfl.com/listing/rum-island-spring-and-park) are also a short drive from our site.
We also have a large tent camping area with 5 tent sites that are covered and have access to power and water.
The Radiant Oaks Center is adjacent to the R/V sites and camping area. This facility is used for retreats. R/V's and campers will have access to 2 full bathrooms and fully equipped ped kitchen area with refrigerator stove and microwave, coffeemaker and plenty pots, pans and dishes. The kitchen may have limited access during special events or retreats.
There are several fire pits and open fields for frisbee, volley ball, horse shoes, and corn hole games in the camping area. The building also has a large covered outdoor pouch area with lights and fans for rainy days, to hang out. reading, card games, etc.
As mentioned earlier, we are on 80+ acres and plenty of room to roam and trails to explore.
The city of High Springs and Lake City are each a short drive away have lots of shops, restaurants, and groceries. Feel free to ask us for recommendations.
This is a working agriculture area with lots of wild life. We are not responsible injuries caused by animals, fauna, or fences that you may encounter.

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

At the campground, you have access to a shared campfire, picnic tables, grill, composting toilet, sink with running water, shower with hot water, changing room, and some art supplies and games to enjoy during your stay. The host lives on the homestead and is available if you need assistance.
Please note:
The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart.
Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.
If you are looking for a single private campsite far from town, this is not for you. However, if you would like to experience a campground on a working homestead and learning center, with the ability to interact with other guests if you wish, while still being conveniently close to downtown and trail systems, this is a great fit.

The property is 5 min to Interstate 75 (414 Exit). O'Leno State (https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/oleno-state-park) is a 5 min drive. We have a life time park pass so entry to the park is free for us. Please ask us about that. We have power and water only at our Hip-camp. We have 3 RV slips on the property, each with 50 Amp electric and water hookups.
Ichetucknee Springs State Park (https://ichetuckneesprings.com/) 15-20 min drive from our site. We also have access to the private areas on Itchetucknee and Santa Fe River and have kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and other inflatable.
Ginnie Springs (https://ginniespringsoutdoors.com/) and Rum Island (https://www.lakecityfl.com/listing/rum-island-spring-and-park) are also a short drive from our site.
We also have a large tent camping area with 5 tent sites that are covered and have access to power and water.
The Radiant Oaks Center is adjacent to the R/V sites and camping area. This facility is used for retreats. R/V's and campers will have access to 2 full bathrooms and fully equipped ped kitchen area with refrigerator stove and microwave, coffeemaker and plenty pots, pans and dishes. The kitchen may have limited access during special events or retreats.
There are several fire pits and open fields for frisbee, volley ball, horse shoes, and corn hole games in the camping area. The building also has a large covered outdoor pouch area with lights and fans for rainy days, to hang out. reading, card games, etc.
As mentioned earlier, we are on 80+ acres and plenty of room to roam and trails to explore.
The city of High Springs and Lake City are each a short drive away have lots of shops, restaurants, and groceries. Feel free to ask us for recommendations.

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

The FOLC Farm (Florida Outdoor Learning Collective) is a homestead, outdoor learning center, and community event space in Gainesville, FL. Situated on 5 wooded acres, The FOLC Farm is only minutes from downtown Gainesville and the University of Florida by car or bike trail, and within walking distance of Payne's Prairie State Park La Chua Trail, Boulware Spring, Sweetwater Preserve trail system, and the Hawthorne bike trail. Please note:
The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart.
Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.
If you are looking for a single private campsite far from town, this is not for you. A buddy and I truck camped on campsite 1 here in early March. There were no skeeters and the night time temperatures were excellent. I like that the camp spaces have generous room. The camp has a good feel and it's laid out really well. There are eating and socializing areas . A huge firepit. There are pots and pans for cooking, a washing station for after meals, a shower that supplies almost instant hot water, a composting toilet. The various camp spots are placed at a good distance apart. This campground seems to have all the amenities, but for the life of me I couldn't understand why I was the only camper there for the 4 nights of my stay. I suppose there are street noises, since it is very close to a neighborhood. And there are vocal frogs and barking dogs occasionally, but that didn't really bother me. There is a good coverage of trees, and supposedly there are workshops and events beyond the camping area, but I didn't see anything posted, and I wasn't sure if that was something that you signed up for, or what, so I didn't feel very comfortable venturing beyond the camping area. But honestly, I kind of enjoyed having such a cool campground to myself. Very nice stay, and thank you too the hostess.

I really loved camping at the FOLC farm. The camp site is well forested and relaxing to be in the shade. The toilet/sink/shower/tables are well maintained, very comfortable and clean. The location is wonderful for visiting Gainsville and there are extensive hiking and biking trails only a block away. Everyone was kind and helpful but at the camp site we could be alone which was great.

It’s hard to put into words how my camping experience was at Blackwater Ranch Campground… serene, relaxing. Three days wasn’t enough, so I extended it two more days and I had the campground to myself the whole time, just me and my doggie and he didn’t have to be on a leash. The host was awesome! He welcomed me and gave me a complementary bundle of wood to get me started. I came to rejuvenate myself and I’m so incredibly sad to leave! But I’m sure anyone would be sad leaving here to go back to Minnesota 😭. It was such a blessing. I recommend it to everyone! The perfect little getaway! White sand beaches along the river. Nice little walking paths in the woods. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This was our third trip out here. We usually book one of the larger sites, but this one was perfect for a weekend with my son.
Site #2 is simple, quiet, and private. Easy drive up access. Plenty of room for a tent and a solid fire setup. The river access is the highlight. Calm water. Clean shoreline. Great spot for morning coffee and winding down at night.
If you are bringing a larger group, book one of the bigger sites on the property. For two people, this one is dialed in.
Host communication was clear and consistent as always.
We will be back.

Man let me tell you ! The view and all of the things they have for u to add to your trip or to play with was the best part , the rentals are spaced out so your not stacked ontop of each other , the noise isn’t loud at all you can hear the cars driving at night and the neighbors shooting in the morning lol I liked it .. but all the small town store and nice people in those towns make up for it ! Our fav breakfast spot was hobos ! Pretty dang good ! 10/10 host and rental sight we have three dogs and they made it very easy for us to have privacy and room for our animals without a negative experience, we have a reactive pup so a private space was very much needed ! I recommend the water and electric hook up sight for us that was the perfect view and easy for us to hose down our tent to keep out pups cool Will be back again ! 10/10 experience fishing was okay need to come back when river is higher but the host had great advice to fish !

Absolutely fantastic site with an awesome host! Anything you want to see, do, or need is close by with more things a short drive away. The privacy and quiet is unmatched. Great site especially if you have dogs and need space for them to explore and relax without other campers. Do not miss out on a paddle excursion through the host April. She makes it a breeze to get you right on the water to enjoy the gorgeous sights with recommendations depending on your interests. She even has fresh eggs available at the small cost of a rooster crow here and there, but it doesn’t take away from or or dominate the experience in any way since you’re already surrounded by the sounds of nature! If you’re in the area and want your own little piece of natural Florida to tuck away in after a long day exploring then this is your spot!
