This place is absolutely fantastic. The campsites are so well maintained, the scenery is incredible & Paul is the best (make sure you get to hear one of his jokes after you check in). There are beautiful longhorns roaming around the campsites and goats in a pen you can go feed. Oh and the bathrooms? Impeccable. So clean and very nice. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!!!

This was our second time at North Shore Relic Ranch, and it’s officially our happy place. There’s something magical about this spot — a mix of country calm, animal chaos, and the kind of hospitality that feels like coming home.
James, the host, is the real deal. A solid Army vet, honest as the day is long, and just one of those guys you instantly trust. He takes time to show you around, chat about life, and make sure everything’s perfect — even if Tom the Turkey tries to steal the spotlight (again).
Speaking of Tom, that bird is on permanent patrol. We brought him a fresh split cantaloupe, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. He strutted around like a feathery sheriff making his rounds.
And the best part? They’ve got “Butt Nuggets” — yep, farm-fresh chicken eggs with a name that guarantees a smile every breakfast.
We fed the animals, watched the sun go down, breathed clean air, and remembered what peace actually feels like. This place is therapy with hooves and feathers.
Already planning our third visit — because once you meet Tom and James, you’re basically part of the ranch family.

This was our second time staying at North Shore Relic Ranch, and somehow it just keeps getting better. We love coming back to feed the animals, soak in the peace of the countryside, and just slow down for a bit.
James, our host, is an absolute gem — a humble and trustworthy Army vet who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about both his guests and his animals.
Speaking of animals — Tom the Turkey was on full patrol again, strutting his stuff like he owns the place (which, honestly, he probably does). We brought him some fresh split cantaloupe, and he was very appreciative.
Don’t leave without grabbing a few of their “Butt Nuggets” (aka fresh chicken eggs). They’re delicious, and buying them is just part of the fun charm that makes this place feel like home.
If you want a stay that’s equal parts relaxing, quirky, and heartwarming — this is it. Already counting down the days till our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tracey and Rods! The campsite was spacious and there was a picnic table and chairs. We especially loved saying hi to the horses and goats in the morning. Great location close to different springs and restaurants.

First off If I could rate higher I would !
From the moment we pulled in, James made us feel right at home. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. As an Army vet, he brings this quiet integrity and humility that really sets the tone for the whole place.
He took the time to walk us around the farm and introduce us to everything — and the stars of the show are definitely the turkeys. They’ve got huge personalities, guard the place like loyal dogs, and honestly made our whole trip even more memorable.
The property itself is peaceful, clean, and perfect for primitive camping. There’s kayaking nearby, nature trails, fresh local eggs, and even farmers markets just down the road. It’s got that authentic, down-to-earth feel you can’t fake — the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer just to breathe it all in.
For me I need to put my feet in the earth and swing on a hammock surrounded by trees- this is that place
If you’re looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and camp somewhere that feels like family, North Shore Relic Ranch is it.

Very peaceful and quiet. Great camping spot and close enough to hike to other trails and boat ramp. James (host) was super accommodating and had great communication. I’ll definitely go back for another trip or trips.

This was a first solo camping adventure for me. The property is fascinating. The relics add a beauty to the property that you will have to see to appreciate. As someone who likes to resell items (nothing as interesting) I felt a childlike curiosity as I slowly drove up to the campsite, I couldn't help but loudly"whoa" at the vehicles and It kind of felt like an art gallery- in a rugged way if that makes sense 😂. I'm planning on bringing my 6-year-old next time who I know will love it just as much as me.
The teepee site was very private. It had a screen door and electricity from a solar panel, cute decorations/ super cozy. Also included was a gazebo and a very clean porta potty. For what you're getting with the beautiful grounds and very nice hosts, this is an absolute steal and worth every single penny. The fire pit itself was top tier, had a grate and firewood is available. Do yourself a favor and book this site, though part of me doesn't want anyone else to know about it. 😄

It was an absolutely amazing experience. We woke up one morning with Texas longhorns and calfs eating grass right outside our tent. The next morning is was horses and a donkey. Not behind a fence or where you had to walk to see them. Roaming right around your camping site. Our board game was interrupted when a group of goats came and joined us at the table and wanted to see what we were doing. The atmosphere was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Memories unforgettable. We will be back and already have friends asking us where we were at. Just bring extra shoes, cow patties are part of the experience.

I have never felt so at home at a campsite before. James, the host, is beyond hospitable and authentically so. He went out of his way, several times, to repair, replace, and refuel the generator that would keep my friend's camper cool through the scorching July nights and days on the property. It should be mentioned that the name for this unusual destination if very fitting. Very cool place.

Great place to get outdoors and enjoy a little bit of Gods country,
Waking up to the Long Horns in your camp or the goats running around looking for a handout, it is the best possible disconnect from the daily grind!
Bass fishing in the endless finger lakes was awesome, not just fishing but a little bit of catching.
Horse back riding with Rachel was huge highlight that allowed us to see the entire property, a must do!
Paul and his team work hard to provide the best possible experience in a peaceful setting to allow you to get back to the simple basics and enjoy what we take for granted!
Take one night and treat yourself to one of the nice restaurants in downtown Lakeland !

Great stay, wonderful according host, and pretty area. Location to Orlando wasn't too bad, either. I enjoyed myself. I would just note that the "water" hook up is the hosts open offer to fill your water tanks, instead of a full time water hook up. They DID offer to combine hoses with me to run the hose all the way from the house and across the drive way to my parking spot, which I declined, so they were willing to help me achieve what I wanted. I decided, as where I wanted to park my trailer would be too far, though. Still, 5 out of 5 stars for sure. Was barely a setback, just worth noting in case living off of your tanks isn't possible for your rig.

I just had my first camping stop on my road trip and it was beyond amazing. Set up my rooftop tent and truck camp at night under the trees—everything worked perfectly.
The area was quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. I had lights strung up, cooked a great steak right next to the truck, and even played some guitar by the table. It felt like home on wheels.
If you’re into overlanding or just want a calm, scenic place to unwind, I totally recommend it. This spot set the tone for the rest of my journey—comfortable, functional, and full of good vibes.
