This is the beautiful wild coast of Florida's "Big Bend." Located halfway between Perry to the north and Steinhatchee to the south, Keaton Beach is an outpost town with a laidback, relaxing atmosphere. No motels, no fast food. The wild, natural public beach has a shaded picnic area, restrooms, a boat ramp and a 700-foot fishing pier. These are prime scalloping waters from mid to late summer, and the area is famous for year-round fishing. We recently bought this property with an old hunting cabin owned by a well known baseball coach. The cabin is currently transformed into a residence. We have 4 RV spots available in the front of the property.. Only an 8 minute drive to the sandy swimming beach of Keaton Beach (see pic above) or 20 min walking distance to Adams Sunset Beach. Stop by on your way to South Florida or up north. We do not have a maximum stay.. We have 50/30 and 15 amp sites available. 2 back it, 1 drive in, 1 pull through site. 2 sites are full hook up, 1 site 50 amp electric and water. 1 site 20 amp electric only. If you see "occupied" in the calendar we probably still have sites available. (we have a total of 4) Just contact us using a "free" day. What can you do in our area? This was a great option for us! The host was super nice, the area was clean, and we had everything we needed! Would return 100%! Be aware, however, you will have to use your own bathroom/shower on your rig. (there is onsite sewage/water/electric, but no bathhouse) Also, no onsite laundry. Otherwise, we enjoyed it!

Only downfall was if you parked with your rv facing the water the sewer hook up was in the front of camper but if you had a long enough hose it was fine just not ideal I'd give it a 9 out of ten and would return

Weekend Trip to Tallahassee Outskirts Hideaway

Excellent place to spend the night when visiting your kid at FSU. All other options in Tallahassee are ridiculously expensive. I have a campervan, which made it easy to park, plug into electricity (although I did not need it), and get fresh water (I used to make coffee). The host is welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Her helpful advice on placement of our tent, lending her electric cord when we needed and just being a good hostess and accommodating to any request we had, opened our minds to new foods, simply put we loved it so much! she talked us out of even going to Golden Corral🤪 Totally Worth it and will definitely be coming back! Grateful to of had bug spray but as long as you’ve got the right kind you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with the bugs. Enjoyed the engagement throughout and had fun taking a cool dip in her pool, felt even better with it being no chemicals. We had a blast even with our time was mostly spent literally inside our tent 🏕️. Just close enough to town to give you your own mini adventure to grab a bite to eat. Love what is becoming of her Sanctuary and we’re already excited for her future transformation of this lovely and safe place. The cemetery was even kind enough to just be a loop hole for a bucket list, a quiet next door neighbor not to haunt or bother us at all so bonus for that also 🥳

First time back since hurricane Helene completely leveled this Hipcamp and the entire town of Keaton Beach. The owners have worked very hard to make this a nice place again. They’ve filled in a nice level area with rock for parking, added a brand new large deck out over the water, added trees, a new kayak rack and picnic table. They provide full RV hookups. The owners are very accommodating and prompt to respond to any questions. We had an excellent time again here. It was August and hot. Storms brought welcoming clouds and gulf breezes. Couldn’t find any scallops at Hagens cove but the fishing more than made up for it with several reds caught using the kayaks just out from camp and a 23” caught from the deck. Weekend Trip to Magnolias by the Bay RV Site & Dock

My friends and I booked the wrong site and thought we were going to Destin. We were pretty upset but this camping spot made up for it majorly. It’s absolutely amazing, well taken care of and a lot of beautiful space and privacy. The dock is very nice and the views of the night sky are incredible there. He had a ton of fire wood already there for us and 4 chairs around the fire pit. I highly recommend. So much fun

Weekend Trip to Bayside Camping

My family and I loved this spot! My husband said we will probably be putting it on the list to visit every year. Recent got a conversion van and we let the kids tent camp. If you can live without amenities I highly recommend this place. We loved when people would honk as they drove by. Previous campers left glass bottles in the fire pit (lame) and burned wood with nails-we did pick up any nails/trash we found. The tide went down at night and we got to see wild hermit crabs, tiny shrimps, and crabs. Dolphins were in the bay during the day too. Lovely spot and cant wait to come back!

3 nights at Gulf Coast RV Site

This is a nice spacious site right on the water with a beautiful view of the Gulf of MEXICO. The original infrastructure of the site was destroyed during Helene. They have done a great job getting it back up to speed with level gravel surface, all the necessary hookups, a picnic table, a shower, and kayaks. I biked down to Keaton Beach and there is a bike trail at the boat launch area that goes out to Ceder (?) Island. Also spend some time in the local bar (Bird Rack) talking to some of the locals and enjoying a cold brew. If you want to be away from the crowds, this is a great spot.

PJ’s camp was very accommodating, quiet and relaxing. Good place for your accompanying pet also. I would utilize her property again if I return to the area.
