Weekend Trip to St Pete Micro Farm

We loved our stay here! We were in town for a music festival and thought this would be a fun and unique place for a homebase. The hosts were so gracious and accommodating. We love learning about all the different species of fruits and vegetables in their yard. I wanted to take all the chickens home with me!

Jennifer was sweet and greeted me upon arrival. Driveway is spacious and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Close to a main road so it was easy to get to shopping, beaches etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to By the Pond...

We loved our stay in the camper! The site is located on a farm which was really neat and we were able to see baby chickens and pet pigs! We stayed in a non-fruiting season (just missed starfruit) so we weren't able to get fruit but if you're lucky enough to stay when the trees are fruitful the owner was so kind to share! We slept soundly and accessed the farm by opening and closing the gates at the entrance was easy! There are so many fun things nearby, and not too far from downtown Tampa. Definitely would stay again!

What a beautiful spot this is. Rakesh was very accommodating on our short notice reservation. My husband was able to stay there a few days while working in Florida. He mentioned the beautiful sunsets off the water and how Rakesh was a very pleasant host. My husband said we will stop in again when we visit Florida. 😊

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Shores Ranch_Campground!

I was blown away by this operation. The staff were incredibly kind. The animals were so fun to feed. The camping spaces were clean, beautiful, and well managed. You could be in a more rustic, private area or choose a site close to the amenities/other people. It's kind of like a choose your own adventure. The bathrooms were top tier. And the nature was gorgeous. So many different birds in that area!! We felt very safe camping by the water and kayaking the lake. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Tip: you don't actually ride the ATVs by the way - it is actually a UTV and you are given a tour of the property. We read it differently so just tip for you if you are under the impression you will be driving it as we were.

Quiet location in the middle of an Old Florida fishing village. Many great seafood restaurants in the area. Close to the beach. We enjoyed the simple beauty of the area. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect. Quiet neighborhood. There is a bike rental shop across the street and makes commuting to the beach easy, only 1 mile very easy and no need to to worry about the triffic or parking! I loved staying here! We had everything we needed! Free wifi too!

5 nights at 10 Minutes From Anna Maria

We stayed in our class A motorhome with full hookups. Needed to buy a sewer extension too. Great private, fenced backyard. Great for their chickens which were huge. Loved hearing their low noises. Would definitely stay hear again. The family was great. Great kids. Great neighborhood. Wonderful traffic because hardly any. So many different routes to go. Wonderful places to visit nearby. Free pool 6 minutes away.

What a gem! This place is a water, nature and plant lovers paradise! Launching your kayak (or there a LOTS to borrow) from the property takes it to an entire new level. The fire pit, tiki hut and grounds are great! Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Weeki Watchee! PS - I saw manatee, dolphins, turtles, every bird imaginable when I was there in early April. The trick to be out of the crowds is go up ABOVE Rogers park toward Mud River. I’ve done all of Weeki many times and this was by far my favorite!

The place is charming and the hosts are friendly and knowledgeable. There is so much to do in the area that we will definitely have to come back.

We really like Bob's quiet place for his location in the area. Plenty of room for our 22' Travel Trailer and 2 small dogs. Bob is very accomidating with our questions and utility hookups. Plenty of room to drive in and turn around and park in his designated Hip camp spot. WIFI is available! We booked for a return visit at a later date as we liked the location to family and our old tourist spots in Tampa Bay. Highly recommend. He has a macerator pump to pump black tank to the septic and worked as it should. Hose hookup for the grey tank already with a drain cap that hooks right up. This spot is located in a nice subdivision with 1 acre lots. Very quiet IMHO.

Weekend Trip to The Olive Grove Cabin Tent

After three long months of going to school and finals I really need this break! We really enjoyed camping at the Olive Farm. It was so super cute and relaxing. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the olive oil, the outdoor kitchen was really useful and the bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Deirdre for being available to always answer my questions!!

Owen's Family Farm

We are a small hobby farm in Lithia, FL, looking to provide boutique camp experiences for guests looking for a nature-based yet centrally located agro-tourism family environment. Our property is six acres, and the central feature is our natural spring-fed pond with gorgeous waterfront views. The camping designated area is a one-acre pasture across the pond from the farm house we live in. If you like privacy, you will be happy to know that we have very few designated RV and glamping sites. The property sits at the end of a private road in a quiet country-like setting with mature oak trees decorated with Spanish moss. The current inhabitants of our farm include our three mini-cows, Stormy, Lila, and Boots, two donkeys, Pancho, a standard, and Cindy Lou, a mini. Another two friendly faces you will see are Liza and Louise, two Kune-Kune sows. Other animals you will see everywhere are our chickens, ducks, and other wild birds. The chickens and ducks don't have names but are also filled with personality. Our farm is strategically located. We call it 'one-hour and ten-minutes to anything'. Here's why: We are an hour away from Disney World, Downtown Tampa, the downtown St. Petersburg and Clearwater beach. Most of Tampa Bay suburban areas are also under an hour away. We are also a little over an hour away from some of the most breathtaking springs in Florida. Alderman's Ford, a Hillsborough County conservation park with over seven miles of hiking trails, is within walking or biking distance. The park's most famous attraction is a 1.9-mile paved and one of the state's most popular canoe spots. The loop, which is hiker, dog-walker, and bicycle-friendly, links with a boardwalk and footbridges leading into shaded woods of gigantic cypress and oak trees. There is also a designated horse trail. About 10 minutes down the road, the Alafaia River State Park offers some of the most radical elevation changes in the state. This topography is uncommon for most of Florida, making the park a hot spot for mountain bikers, equestrians, and hikers. The hilly trails at Alafaia River total about 20 miles and run through forests, flatwoods, and lakes. Lithia Springs is also a 10 minute drive and is well-known for its natural spring which flows year-round, cool, and clean water. Great for swimming on a hot day. Stay by a lovely pond on 33 acre fruit and ornamental tree nursery property with great vibes. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

You can also run your generator. THINGS TO DO The wildlife management area is a one minute walk from the campsite with the buford and eagle nest springs inside. There is also a distillery (NJoy Spirit) on site. Seven Sisters springs are a ten minute car ride away. You can rent a kayak or a canoe to go out and see dolphins, turtles, alligators, manatees, snakes, deer, various birds or even bears. Other springs in the area are Hunters Springs, Rogers Park and Three Sisters springs. Crystal River is a charming, historical town 25 minutes north. You’ll pass Homosassa and their State Park (the oldest Hippo Lu (65) lives here). At the waterfront restaurant ‘Crumps’ you can watch monkeys on an island! Dames Cave in Lecanto is about 17 minutes from here with multiple caves to explore. The famous Weeki Wachee Springs State park is a 15 minute drive south highway 19. Howard’s Flea Market is the largest in Citrus County, 10 minutes north from the camp site. ‚Adventure Flg X’ is a fun Zip Line park in Brooksville. Rainbow River Springs is an hour north from Twin Pines. The park has beautiful scenic trails and a water temperature of 72 degrees year round which invites you to explore the river in a tube or kayak. The Weeki Wachee preserve is another beautiful, close spot worth visiting. Disney World, Legoland and Universal Studios are within two hours. St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa and Tarpon Springs are must-see cities! Beaches: Pine Island, Fort Island, Sunwest Park Beach. Further away: Madeira Beach, Honeymoon Island & Fort DeSoto. Make sure the beaches are open!
