The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.  We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

A pet friendly, off leash, dark skies 6 acre slice of paradise in North Florida on the banks of the Suwannee River. In 1990 the State of Florida banned logging within 1,000 feet of the Suwannee River so Southeast Timberlands sold off it's holdings and we were lucky enough to purchase 6 acres and 444 feet of riverfront. A designated "Pristine Scenic Waterway" with very steep banks, the Suwannee is one of the few"wild" rivers left in the United States and can rise over 30 feet to flood stage almost overnight; yet due to its unique topography we can access it no matter how high or low the water. The Forest Service has bought up the surrounding lots, creating a 10 mile Conservation corridor supporting the National Scenic Florida Trail, it's clearly marked footpaths and natural attractions. To that end, we have left the old growth upland forest the way we found it. The campsite is a natural feature as is the Zen deck and canoe launch, a swale draining the ridge. The campsite is level, the lane to the river slopes gently dropping in elevation 20 feet over 1,000 in making it easy for able bodied guests to navigate their way to the white sugar sand beach. We want to share our retreat with those who are looking for a real wilderness experience in an exclusive private setting. A Waiver of Liability is required by all guests as the Wilderness is an inherently dangerous place. We only offer one accommodation per weekend with a maximum of 8 people, because we only have 1 toilet, so our guests can have the seclusion they desire and be free to enjoy the natural wonder of the woodland experience in any manner they choose.

I was in town for a day fishing tournament and Anthonys placed worked out perfect for my quick trip. Anthony provided great directions and instructions when I arrived. Awesome quiet secluded place to stay. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Weekend Trip to Blackwater Ranch - River Camping

This was our third trip out here. We usually book one of the larger sites, but this one was perfect for a weekend with my son. Site #2 is simple, quiet, and private. Easy drive up access. Plenty of room for a tent and a solid fire setup. The river access is the highlight. Calm water. Clean shoreline. Great spot for morning coffee and winding down at night. If you are bringing a larger group, book one of the bigger sites on the property. For two people, this one is dialed in. Host communication was clear and consistent as always. We will be back.

Great overnight stop. Can tell it would be a great spot to stop for awhile. Met at the entrance and after a couple of hours to see if I needed anything. Nice walking property. Clean wash house with everything you could need. Other very happy campers.

1 night at "Sweet Tupelo" on the "Big River"!

Wonderful site! We even played pickleball a little bit! I love that a water hose is provided. I went with a friend that booked a couple earlier nights and also was here in January as well. I met a wonderful neighbor down the street who gave us fresh grapefruit and eggs, such a wonderful surprise and very kind! Felt safe. Would be cool if there was stairs down the cliff but totally understand that would not be safe! The owner Glenn keeps it immaculate and in 100% working order. Recommended!

2 nights at "Sweet Tupelo" on the "Big River"!

Second time here this year Love the place of course! Had a friend meet us us. She loved the place as well. She even was able to fish some. Plenty of sitting space and tables and an outdoor grill area too. Highly recommend! Definitely will be back for our third trip hopefully before summer comes! If you want more water view where you park and by the fire then the 3rd site probably has the most water viewing area. Definitely watch your pet near the cliffs!

2 nights at "Sweet Tupelo" on the "Big River"!

It is a beautiful location! Plenty of room between sites...there was only 1 other site used while we were there. Very private...the only noise you will hear is the cow mooing "good night" from down the lane. The night sky is very impressive and you must sit by the fire pit and enjoy it. All the services are new and you have no problem hooking up. This would be a great place for a family vacation..especially if you could reserve all 3 spots. Will be on my list to come back to visit again.

Weekend Trip to Moonpie Farm and Creamery

Such a fun experience! We got to watch Elizabeth milk the cows and ask lots of questions. Purchased all kinds of homemade items in the farm store. The dogs were great company and came by for belly rubs and naps by our campfire. Very close to Florida Caverns State Park. Will definitely camp there again if we are in the area!

Weekend Trip to SURFER'S PARADIZE

The land is good and the backyard is somewhat secluded. You will be within earshot of other people, but it’s a pretty good setup. It’s probably an ideal place for a cluster of campers that know each other or don’t want full privacy. My problem with the owner began when I arrived. He did not know I was coming and blamed it on his wife. I will take him at his word. He asked about hookups and I informed him that my camper only uses 110 ac and I usually only a phone charger and coffeemaker (it was cold outside so no a/c). I also made an attempt to give him information about my setup. I plug the hookup to my car (ev) and then power the camper through the car. Sometimes the battery charges a little and tops off, but I recharge on the road at Buc-ee’s. Next thing I know he’s outside my camper at night with a flashlight waking me up and accusing me of using the power as a charging station. I was pulling little power and he didn’t hassle the huge rvs next to me running tons of stuff. I patiently explained my setup again and he apologized and said that it was his mistake. I would have left it at that and given grace for a bad day, but I never saw him again. Checkout was a pain because he would not respond and he hasn’t responded to any messages from me since. I’ve given up. I guess I just don’t like being accused and hassled when I’m paying to stay in a quiet spot and I need the sleep. I’m concerned I will get blasted on reviews and I truly tried to work this out

Tom and Judy were amazing hosts, very kind and helpful. The property was beautiful. Our large group enjoyed exploring and spending time with cows, sheep, and donkeys (especially the kids). At night, the stars dominated the sky, like a cloak studded with sparkling diamonds. I highly recommend this property.

Well this has quickly moved to the top 5 favorite Hipcamp locations. Anne's space has a very nice vibe about it. Comfortable and relaxed! Its a very easy to use as a base for biking, horses and a lot of great outdoor activities.

This is our second year camping at sweet Tupelo, the camp ground is well kept and maintained. It is exactly what our family looks for. Time away from everything with beautiful scenery. We will be returning again. Thank you sweet Tupelo for another wonderful experience.

The Dune Sunflower campsite has a dedicated 6 ft picnic table and 3 ft diameter fire pit.

We had an amazing experience at Wildflower Ranch. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for—a perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature with our family. Kim was an incredible host from start to finish. She was kind, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to make sure we were comfortable, without ever being intrusive. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and the experience they have at her ranch. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and well-maintained, and it felt very safe and family-friendly. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend Wildflower Ranch if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with a host who goes above and beyond.
