Or go east to Mariana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! This charming, rural enclave provides gentle fauna and flora surrounding the site. Due to my ignorance and unfamiliarity, the shower experience was satisfactory but inefficient [Lewis and Clark only dreamed of such luxurious accommodations]. The host and her guests treated us warmly and friendly. Old-growth hardwoods and Spanish Moss abounded. Tory, the guard-dog had the demeanor of a Galapagos tortoise. The 37-some-odd goats generally stayed inside their fence and behaved themselves. Orange trees supplied fresh oranges. Roosters abounded. Sand abounded. Our stay was delightful; all one could hope for on a wilderness adventure. Having electricity was fantastic for a fantastic trip.

The host Kelsey was so welcoming, very kind, and made it a comfortable stay. She was hempful in guiding us to the nearby springs and she did not bother us she gave us complete privacy. The property was so beautiful especially when the sun was setting ! There is a camp style sink and toilet inside a metal building which was very nice! We will be back again and definitely HIGHLY recommend checking them out!

Had a great weekend camping at the Outside Inn. For someone looking for peace and quiet and tranquility this fits the bill. The host introduced himself and answered questions and shared good information with us. Camp site was clean and tidy and the bathhouse and amenities were nice and clean also. Nice trails to walk on the property and lots of parks and natural springs nearby. And only an hour to the coast and nice beaches. Would definitely recommend this campground and we will be back again!

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm

I mostly wing it when I travel. I am often attempting to make same day reservations. I have the good fortune to be blessed by the unviverse in finding the most delightful places. The Goat House Farm is one of these places. It's a bit of tranquility among the crazy. The goats are so soo cute! They are very entertaining to watch. They are well kept and are nice goats. The chickens there are also beautiful and pretty quiet as chickens go. I went there as just a tent stay overnight. We were offered a little structure known as 'The Coop' free of any additional charge. She was sooo gracious about it and insisted on helping us out. The coop was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There was an outdoor patio with 2 chsirs and a table. There was a rustic bathroom with a composting toilet and a shower on property. Her property also borders a state park with a lake. Just sitting near the water was balm to my soul. There is a hill down to the water. There was a group there as well. and I struck up a conversation with a woman in that group to find out she was from Tallahassee. She was there enjoying a weekend get away for peace and tranquility. I do have a regret though, I wish I could have gotten a loaf of her bread but there was no lead time for her to bake it because of my last minute reservation. I highly recommend staying there. Other Notes: 1. TMobile had 5G 4Bars 2. The road is a sandy road. I have low profile tires on my car and navigated it easily.

Plenty of room! Multiple outdoor showers (the good kind) available. Overall vibes were that I felt like I was at my grandmas house and she let me sleep in a tent in her yard for the night. Lastly, they make great music!

Weekend Trip to "Sweet Tupelo" on the "Big River"!

We loved this site so much we booked a second night. The campsite is so peaceful and has been the best stay of our trip so far. The amenities are first class! Each site is pristine and comes with a variety of picnic tables and high top tables. The dump station was easy to access and was definitely a perk of this site. We will definitely return here next time we are in the area.

Gorgeous place! The sites are all generously sized and nicely spaced. Each comes with lots of seating options and large fire pits. The view of the river is a great back drop. Highly recommend staying at Sweet Tupelo.

We stayed at site one and it was a great View. Also cook Grill and nice fire pit plenty of space and picnic tables. Just a short walk to the boat ramp if you want to use the restroom there. As others have said there are dogs in the neighborhood that howl at night and there was also a cow mooing but overall it's a good spot.
