Runaway Bay Lodge - a place where Love and Magic Happen

After the 4 mile trip through The Lake George State Forest, you will pass two small RV campgrounds of Pine Island.

Runaway Bay Lodge is the first private property past The Pine Island RV Campground, on the right side of the street.

OUR PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED IN THE CAMPGROUND.

We have 4 separate units on our property, including 2 cabins and 3 yurts, Each cabin and yurt is set up with only one bed, in each.  We are a perfect spot for solo journeyers and couples. Larger groups can rent multiple units.  We also host 3rd party retreats for up to 12 total guests.

We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.

We offer our exclusive Magic M Meditations, Yoga, Plant Based Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian Meal Options, Moxibustion, Kundalini, Tantra, Energy work and other holistic well-being services, Small Group Retreats, Boat Tours and Boat Rentals.

Use of a private vehicle is required.

The property is on a natural 46000 acre lake that is connected to The Atlantic Ocean by The St Johns River.

This location offers abundant wildlife refuge.

This can be exciting, but dangerous.

Please do not feed or approach the wildlife.

You may see alligators, snakes, otters, manatees, as well as several species of fish and birds, including, but not limited to, american bald eagles, egret, heron, seagulls, bass, mullet, crappie, bluegill and more.

 Please simply use caution and do not attempt to disturb the animals or their environment.

Provided in our tent was some coloring books. Neither one of us had colored in years, it was so relaxing & brought out the kid in us.

Common Ground Farm Camp

We are a community supported agriculture farm that uses a blend of modern technology with organic farming practices to feed over 120 family's fresh vegetables and herbs.   We offer camping space with electricity and bathroom facilities available.  Your children will love our two friendly, playful Australian sheepdogs May and Lily. You are just 5 miles from grocery stores and shopping, but we have the feel of being in the country. Beaches, State Parks with springs and all the central Florida attractions are within an hours drive or less. You are free to roam the fields and select vegetables and herbs to prepare in your meals or you can take a stroll in beautiful downtown DeLand and take in a nice meal.

Your children will love our two friendly, playful Australian sheepdogs May and Lily. 4 Camp sites are set at the back of the property under oak trees. Bathroom and cooking amenities are less then 2 minutes from sites. You are just 5 miles from grocery stores and shopping, but we have the feel of being in the country. Beaches, State Parks with springs and all the central Florida attractions are within an hour drive or less. You are free to roam the fields and select vegetables and herbs to prepare in your meals or you can take a stroll in beautiful downtown DeLand (recently voted best downtown in America) and take in a nice meal. 

A few things to note.

1. Cumber site is large enough for tent camping only.

2.  We allow only one vehicle per campsite but there is additional parking at the front of the property about 250 feet from the sites.

3. No open fires are permitted at the campsite due to the proximity of the greenhouses.  We do have a screened in fire pit that is free to use.

4. If at all possible, please no check-ins after 11 p.m.  This is a working farm, and we have to get up early.  If you absolutely cannot get here by then let us know in advance and we will work with you.

5. NO RV"S OR FIFTH WHEELS! We do not have 30amp electric service and the sites were not designed for large vehicles.  Pop up campers and vans are ok as long as you do not need 30 amp electric.

Hidden Gem

Welcome to our HIDDEN GEM which is tucked away in 11 acres of beautiful oak trees. Splashed with Spanish moss this tropical paradise offers a serene experience  and creates a perfect environment for the Monarch Butterfly to thrive. We offer hot outdoor showers and flushable toilets. Our sites are large and secluded.   

We are 10 minutes from the white sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your boat if you like to fish. We are 3 minutes from the boat ramp which accommodates boats large and small to access off shore fishing at the Inlet or flats fishing at Mosquito Lagoon. 

If you are a motorcycle enthusiast we are 30 minutes from Daytona Speedway and NSB Speedway. Kayak and surfing with your own or rentals are available.  

All the popular attractions are one hour drive time from us. There are 5 Golf Courses in NSB as well as an array of fine dining, art shows and of course lots of sunshine. 

As lifelong campers it is a pleasure to share our Hidden Gem with you. We love animals so bring your best friends along.

Camp Lake Minnehaha

House on this large property used to be the laundry room and game room for the camps along the lake.

Park your small to medium motor home or pitch your tent in a semi private huge yard.  Trailhead for Lake Minneola Scenic Trail just minutes away.  Enjoy relaxing on the huge private beach, rent a kayak or bring your own boat.  Only a few minutes walk from your site in a quiet neighborhood setting.

Utilities and amenity's are on a per night basis.  Electrical is 120v at 20 amps.

Due to local restrictions maximum 7 night stays available.

There is a boat launch, picnic tables, and covered area and charcoal grills to use.

This site is also available for a tent. We used the table just for hanging out.

This area is on the side of the hosts house.

This owners access park is available for you to use, only a few minutes walk from the hosts site.

Grace Farms

The working farm is where tilapia species and lettuce are grown by hydroponics and shared with the community. Grace Farms is nestled equally between Disney World Orlando as well as the other local attractions and the World's most famous beach in Daytona. In essence, you can get close to nature and back to all the area attractions in less than half an hour either way.
