Black horse ranch was my first time using Hipcamp and if all places are as amazing as this I will be using them all the time. Danielle and her workers were friendly and amazing. The property was huge and clean. There was so much offered. A communal Kitchen, game room, suoer nice bath house and laundry house. A POOL!! Horse stables and trails. The campsites seemed great I was in 7 right next to the bathhouse since I was in a camper van which was great for me. I also met several other people who stay there during the winter with their horses and they were so friendly. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Black horse ranch. If you are in the area or can make a trip that way please do!

This place was awesome! This was my first time using hipcamp and it was a blast. The sites were nice and quant, it was real peaceful, you can walk around and hike the property at your leisure, everyone was very friendly Jimmy was awesome very communicative and got us everything we needed. This will definitely go down in a memorable trip for us and we would definitely come back!

2 nights at Home of Many Miniature Animals

Little bit of our farm life was such a great site! My kids and I had an amazing experience. We camped for two nights and had the entire place to ourselves. The camping area was clean, so was the port-o-potty, and shower. My kids and I got to run around and play kickball. Every morning we were woken up by the cutest farm animals, and greeted by two beautiful pups that joined my kids in playing ball. The owners of the farm are very nice and were quick to respond to all messages. One of the best parts of our entire trip was the farm tour given by Olivia. She was very informative and patient with my inquisitive six-year-old and gave us extra time with Archie, the Highland cow (my kids had to pull me away from him) and all of the goats who my kids fell in love with in fact, I had to promise my kids that we'd come back when the mama goat Addie gave birth to see the kids. I definitely recommend this site and we will be back very soon.

This was my second time staying at Relic Ranch. I definitely recommend this spot If you’re into primitive camping and if you want to get away for a few days next. The farm is a really nice feature for the kids to roam around and interact with the animals and the hosts are super nice and very welcoming. Totally recommend!

4 nights at Lovely Acres Of East Orlando

Site was great. We would recommend and will probably return. Our son was in a competition at UCF and the location was great! Cristy was a fantastic host. Getting in and out of the gate was a little tight with our 34' travel trailer, but manageable. Google maps gave directions through Parry Lane, thankfully not when we had the trailer attached! Do NOT go Parry Lane. It's a one way road through a trailer park. Two other roads to get there are fine.

You will find some beautiful animals with a family atmosphere and a cool place to relax and think. The camping area is clean and organized. Listening to the sounds of the animals when I woke up was my favorite part during the stay in this place. The man is very nice and cares about asking his guests how they are feeling during their stay.

Location, Location, Location - plus a great space and super host. James kept in contact with us and made sure we have everything we needed for our stay. He moved us to a great site once he found out we were on bicycles not motorcycles and brought us water so we didn’t have to make trips for cooking and drinking.

Our stay at Home of Many Miniature Animals was incredible! The highlight was the animal tour with our host, Olivia—she was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about caring for these adorable creatures. She took the time to introduce us to each animal, sharing fun facts and interesting stories that made the experience even more special. The campsite itself was peaceful and well-maintained, making for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by friendly miniature animals was truly unique. If you’re an animal lover or just looking for a fun and educational experience, this place is a must-visit! The main reason we camped here was to be close to the Mount Dora Bike Trail for some mountain biking, and this location was perfect for that. After a great day on the trails, coming back to such a peaceful and unique campsite made the trip even better.

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch

This was my first stay using Hipcamp. The site was really nice and private and quiet. I was a little concerned when we first pulled in but once the host showed up and lead us back to the sites it was great. We looked forward to petting all the animals but at our age they were a little farther away than we wanted to walk. All in all it’s a great get away if you like the peace and quiet kind of camping. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick and easy getaway.

I loved the pool and Kitchen. The washrooms were clean and the laundry a reasonable price. I really enjoyed my stay I highly recommen. The activities room really cute with games and TV. I will come back.

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch

We loved camping at this spot! Wonderful location near a long nature walk with plenty of wildlife to see. The portapotties were super clean and much better than a gas station bathroom! We spent 2 nights in tents and kayaked down the street at Lake Apopka. Really easy to find with fast access to dollar general if you need anything. We will definitely be booking again soon!

This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. "You're family here" is something she said all the time to people who came to stay, and it is truly at the heart of our ranch. Black Horse is a place to enjoy nature, camping, campfires, and good company, in a place that feels like home. The property is a beautiful campground nestled into a nook of the Ocala National Forest. We are surrounded on 3 sides by forest, and you can ride or hike straight from any of the many trailheads on property! We offer 30 and 50amp sites, there is a bath house with full bathrooms and laundry, a Community Kitchen you are welcome to use, a screened in Pavilion for meals or hanging out, a POOL! (yes you read that right!) and a Clubhouse with couches, games and all! We have a few rentals (a cabin and RV) and we are working on getting more. We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals. If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena. There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?). There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!

North Shore Relic Ranch tee pee

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Fiddlers Green is a former Mounted Police Training Ranch and is in park-like setting just at the southern edge of the Ocala National Forest but close by to many activities, shops and amenities. You will have the option of an available site for your length of stay, to camp under live oaks or in our field depending on your amperage service needs. Per Site Cost: (all sites have full hook-up of water, septic and 30 or 50 amp electric, fire-ring and a picnic table) and is for 2 adults and up to 4 children under 16, (each additional adult is $5.00 per night) max of 4 adults per site. Max of 2 vehicles per site, besides your rig. A few tent sites are also available. Amenities include: a single bath house, laundry and a recreation building with ping pong, TV area and table games. Office with small store. Gazebo over looking the lake, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. There is a community firepit and charcoal grill in the picnic area. You can take a stroll along the small lake while enjoying birds, wildlife and horses. Horse accommodations: (paddocks and stalls) are available as well, please reach out to us directly. We have a covered and outdoor arena for horses to be lunged and/or trained. Coggins required upon arrival and before horses exit the trailer. Pet friendly: we have a dog park. Dogs must be on at least a 10ft leash and restrained at all times. Dogs are not to be left unattended outside at any time. If you are going to leave for an extended amount of time you need to take your dog with or find a doggie day care. We boarder the Ocala National Forest with it's 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking, fishing, OHV and horseback riding. Alexander Springs is the closest among many to snorkel, canoe and/or swim in 72* crystal clear water year round. Mt. Dora, Umatilla and Eustis are within 20 mins for restaurants, shops, golf and antiques, etc. If you have any questions your hosts will be happy to help. Choose a site to book - this may not be the actual site that you will have due to the booking calendar. You may be able to change once you arrive if other sites are available for your length of stay. Fiddlers Green reserves the right to change sites to accommodate more guests.
