Welcome to Our Private and Cozy RV Camp!
This property features five RV sites—four with 30-amp power and one with 50-amp power. All sites include water hookups, and there's a wastewater dump station and trash cans for convenience.
Easy Access and Secure Camping
Located directly off Hwy 20, RV sites are at the front of the property, with plenty of room to navigate and clearance from overhead trees. The sites are behind double iron gates on a fenced and secure property.
Surrounded by Nature and Adventure
The Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail runs along the back of the property, this bike, walking, and horse trail was formerly a railroad and now connects Downtown Gainesville to Hawthorne. Enjoy the historic Lochloosa Creek, with the old train bridge still in use for the trail. Loaner bikes are available for guests to explore the trail.
The camp site it's about an hour's bike ride to Gainesville or a 15-minute drive by car. Hawthorne is just six minutes away.
Farm Life and Pet-Friendly Atmosphere
This is an active Florida Department of Agriculture hemp farm and Homestead.
Animals on-site: Outside the fenced camp area, you'll find pet cows and donkeys—all friendly and never raised for food. Feel free to feed and pet them without crossing the fence! Ducks and chickens may wander near the camping area.
If you're towing horses, they are welcome to graze within the camping area. If multiple guests have horses, we’ll guide you to a larger pasture.
Pets are welcome! Just keep them leashed near the other farm animals.

At the entrance of the property is a self-contained, family-friendly campground with nine non-electric sites (five tent sites and four car camping sites). At the campground, you have access to a shared campfire, picnic tables, grill, composting toilet, sink with running water, shower with hot water, changing room, and some art supplies and games to enjoy during your stay. The host lives on the homestead and is available if you need assistance.
Please note:
The five tent sites are within the campground circle where no cars are allowed for camper safety. The parking area is within 150 feet (45 meters) of the various sites, and a cart is available to move your gear. Sites are 25–50 feet (8–15 meters) apart.
Dogs are not allowed for the safety and comfort of other campers. If your private group is renting the whole campground, you may bring a leashed pet when it is not in your tent or van.
If you are looking for a single private campsite far from town, this is not for you. However, if you would like to experience a campground on a working homestead and learning center, with the ability to interact with other guests if you wish, while still being conveniently close to downtown and trail systems, this is a great fit.
This wooded 5-acre property is very close to thousands of acres of state park land and also adjacent to a rural/suburban neighborhood. Just as advertised. I had the place to myself - probably because it's the end of the camping season here in Florida. Had a little trouble getting in because the gate was locked but fortunately the host was there when I climbed over and went looking for her.

This site was great. My parents and I came here to kayak the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe River. I didn't get to meet William but his response time was super quick when I had questions. The site was as advertised. Everything was nice and clean. I would recommend bringing tick spray, especially in the spring but Florida does Florida things! You have to expect insects when camping. I will definitely book this site again! We had a great time making memories together!

Oh my goodness! Southern hospitality at its finest!!! Judy and Tom when out of their way to make my stay perfect. Loved chatting with them and learning about the farm and family history. Beautiful pasture and river sink!!! Would 10/10 stay here again!

We had a beautiful weekend at Holly’s place. The kayaking was wonderful and we spent a day paddling up to Deep Creek. We also spent a day in St Augustine which was only a 30 min drive. Great wildlife viewing and very peaceful. We highly recommend this campsite.

Amazing host, super informative, even gave us a tour and directions at 9:30pm, the arrow head sink is also a super cool a private experience, well worth the price, campsites are standard with a bench, fire pit with metal grate, and compost toilet, very nice and secluded, lots of deer, rabbits, birds. Great spot.

I liked camping here extremely friendly hosts and campers. Very beautiful property and the spring swimming hole was excellent. There's also a sand blow or quicksand that is Def work checking out. Convenience was great really close to dollar general and gas station. Traffic from the hog waller or maybe just traffic was going through out the night tho only area of concern. Overall great stay.
