Campsites are on a small horse farm located just 4 miles from downtown St Augustine and 5 miles from Vilano Beach. Many hiking and water activities within 30 minutes. You select the space you where you wish to set up camp. The entrance off the dirt road is tricky for large rigs or trailers more than 35' may not have easy access. Our sites offer potable water, a shower, picnic tables, a toilet, wifi, trash disposal, space for campfires, and we are pet friendly! We can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Camp Declan is a rare find: a private, breezy, six-acre lakefront retreat that feels like stepping into classic “Old Florida,” where the air is clean, the nights are quiet, and nature is always part of the experience. Set under a canopy of Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss and stretching along nearly 600 feet of freshwater shoreline, this is a place where mornings start with birdsong, afternoons drift by on the dock, and evenings end around the fire pit under open skies. Fish, paddle, swim, grill, relax — or do nothing at all while napping in one of several hammocks. The lake and floating dock are always the centerpiece of life here. The property includes three thoughtfully designed buildings: Cabin – comfortable air-conditioned sleeping quarters with private bathroom Bunkhouse – group-friendly lodging (six adult-sized bunkbed sets) with bathroom Cabana – the social hub with outdoor bar, kitchen, commercial ice machine and hangout space Together, Camp Declan comfortably hosts up to 18 overnight guests and is ideal for families, youth retreats, reunions, fishing buddies, retreat weekends, and anyone seeking a down-to-earth, unplugged getaway with real space to spread out. Outdoors, guests enjoy: • Large floating dock • Fire pit and gathering areas • Volleyball, badminton, frisbees and washer toss (think cornhole) • Canoeing, kayaking and lake swimming • Anchored swim raft • Fully fenced, private grounds Indoors and out, you’ll find: • Fully equipped kitchen • Outdoor kitchen and bar • Hot indoor and outdoor showers • Clean bathrooms in every building This is not a resort — it’s a private fish-camp-style escape where comfort meets authenticity. If you’re looking for polished luxury, this may not be your place. If you’re looking for privacy, ample outdoor space, water access for your boat or jet ski, and a true Florida lake experience, Camp Declan delivers in a way few properties can.

Osceola National Forest is 200,000 acres of exploration with your name on it! In the northeastern Floridian forest, pine flatwoods and cypress-hardwood swamps surround, with diverse wildlife abound. In this leafy paradise lives gopher tortoises (they act like gophers, but are tortoises!), alligators, black bears, and the skunk ape, also known as the “stink ape,” which bears an uncanny resemblance to bigfoot. Areas of recreation include Ocean Pond--a fave place for boaters, skiiers, and campers, and Olustee Beach for swimming, fishing, and picnicking. The park is also open to hunters and fishermen with permits. With so much land to explore in this National Forest, we wouldn’t be surprised if bigfoot was hiding in there!

Stay in one of our three designated camping sites, tie up a hammock, gaze at the pond inhabitants****, and check out what's growing in the seasonal garden. Also enjoy the many flowering plants and other special trees. Florida's gem-colored, healing spring waters are just a 20 minutes up the way and local retreat centers and yoga studios dot the area. We do not require a formal check-in and encourage being self-reliable in set up of primitive campsites. (For something with more structure and a space already set up, check out our Aframe cabin.) We do have water, a composting toilet, sink, and groundtemp shower for your use. *****Due to severe drought this year, we have lost the pond. We are still open for camping, but please note the pond is not as pictured. Thanks for your understanding during this tough time for our water table.******

Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

Welcome to a sweet and soulful little piece of the woodlands. Tucked in on 4.5 acres, this spot is a secluded, enchanting piece of old Florida. Gator fans? Head into Gainesville for a game and to visit the University of Florida. Mostly, enjoy. We look forward to hosting you! To note for all guests: We suggest arriving before dark so as to make set up easy and comfortable.

The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world.
