Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

The “clubhouse” is available by reservation only. Being there are exotic animals on site (all are caged and not visible), no pets are allowed. Courteousness will make this a very enjoyable stay. We have lived on this property securely since the early 70’s. We hold NO LIABILITY on people or acts of God.

Our campsite is located inside of the River Ranch Property Owners Association therefore you MUST already be a member in order to book the property or gain access through the front gate. Our entire property is 2.5 acres and the campsite is located on .65 acres across the road. Our site is the location of a future food forest therefore we have planted several fruit trees on both properties which we hope our guests enjoy throughout the year. The site can accommodate two trailers or several tents as well as room for a car/truck with an ATV/UTV trailer. The common area is home to oak shade trees, a picnic tables and burn barrel.

2 nights at Honey Bee Ranch

Honeybee ranch is such a special place! We didn’t expect to have this type of experience. It’s so peaceful and scenery is stunning. Carolina was very accommodating when we had a special arrival request, and Cindy the host on site, was really sweet. She greeted us upon arrival helped us back into the site and then In introduced us to the Cows.. later that evening we walked the entire property at sunset, admiring the oak trees, and watching ibis fly north for the evening. The ranch has a very special feeling to it. As for the campsites, we had everything we needed water power sewer. There’s no fire rings at the site so we made a fire at the community pit, which is a really cozy spot to hang out all night. Totally recommend the spot and btw, super close to Danes Cave and Croom Rec for hiking and ATVs

We had an awesome time at Lucky U camping for a weekend in mid-December. Rob and Mike were excellent hosts, both very responsive and hospitable on site. The ranch’s facilities (with the hosts built themselves!) were in pristine condition and well-appointed with extra towels, indoor-style plumbing and even a full camp kitchen. Our tent campsite was quiet and secluded in a nicely shaded spot. Interacting with the animals on the farm during the day was a blast. We could not recommend their camp more.

Weekend Trip to Lucky U Ranch

This camping experience was incredible! The land is beautiful and cared for, the property felt private and exclusive, yet was very easy to navigate; the roads well maintained and accessible for any vehicle. Large flat beautiful areas for multiple tents under the trees or in the open, and plenty of room to park and lay out blankets to star gaze. Rob and Mike were wonderful and available, met us at the gate and led us to our spot, showing us all the important points. The horses and mules were adorable and friendly. SO many birds to listen to when awakening, and the stars at night were incredibly bright. Bathroom area was clean, and not only stocked with shampoo and conditioners, but also coffee, creamer, and hot chocolate! We went to swim with manatees one day, but honestly could have stayed and just enjoyed the scenery just as happily. It was heaven. We missed the tour, but trust it would have been lovely as well. We will definitely return!

2 nights at Honey Bee Ranch

This is my first time on Hipcamp so I'm not really sure what I'm comparing to. I arrived earlier than expected, and the caretakers were very gracious directing me to my campsite without batting an eye. I was able to connect my trailer to water, sewer and electric immediately and walk around the big property to see some of its features. In addition to the 5 or 6 RV sites here, there is a residence called the Barn, which was not occupied when I visited here. Peaceful is the main word that comes to mind- it's quiet at night, which is good because I had to get up early. I enjoy visiting the cows when I got back from my tournament rounds early in the afternoon. I'm the only one staying here now so I didn't take advantage of the community fire pit, but it's a great idea and there was firewood available to me.Still hoping to get a close-up look at tha fox squirrel., who has so far kept his distance as far as I can tell. The name of this ranch drew me here, and it was a little bit sad that I couldn't get any of this season's honey because it's not ready yet.

We had a great time on the property and around the area. Rob and Mike are excellent hosts and have a great operation. They give a tour of the property on Saturdays so we got to see all the goats, stallions, miniature horses, geese and donkeys! The spots are spread out nicely and the bathroom/shower area are top notch for an outdoor setting! The little touches do not go unnoticed. We stayed in the RV they have availabile and boy were we happy with it since some rain showers decided to come along on our trip. We look forward to coming back sometime. Thanks Rob and Mike!

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch

Highly recommend staying here. The site we stayed at was beautiful, the trees with the moss hanging from them and the vegatation around the site made it feel very woodsie, nice size site as well. Pretty neat stuff to gander at on the property. The host James is wonderful to communicate with! We have already booked another stay in January and we are very excited to go back! There are trails for walking, biking and horseback riding right next door. A highly recommended drive through nature trail about 15 minutes from the sight. Just remember, your in the woods, there ARE bugs and mosquitoes be prepared if you go during warmer nights

What a wonderful place with great hosts! This was our second visit and we will return again. The place is paradise and although we boon docked they had a place to fill up with water upon arrival and a dump station when we left. While staying we were soo far away from other campers we had to search to find them. So many private sites. There is a reason they are number 1!!
